The Soothsayer
The Soothsayer's tree,
Of a cloud as small as a man's hand;
The Soothsayer's fruit,
Of a poem as sweet as your muse;
Yes, a man is measured by hie strength.
Let my poetry fall on you like rain,
Listen oh Heavens and oh Earth;
Like a shadow from a mountain with a donkey.
A head taller than others,
I will have my donkey saddle and ride on it;
Of a cloud as small as a man's hand.
Infront of the Balsam trees,
Raindrops over the leaves with love;
The one who first puts his amour on should,
Not boast like the one who takes it off.
