Sonnet: Man’s Life Today

Modern man’s life is almost cipher;
There’s no time for anything of mettle
Precious time’s lost to problems decipher
O’er is his time before he can settle.

Mans keen on the money value of things,
Their durability and guarantee;
In virtuality man dances and he sings
Abhors man, the thought of reality.

Life is spent in pomp, show and worthless friends;
God is forgotten and so is man’s soul;
Man is clumsy in his means to his ends;
His current concerns distract him from goal.

Science has compelled man to abandon God!
Man considers himself a powerful lord.
