Sonnet: Abide in God, the Master True

When God has plans for you to carry out,
You can’t refuse the Maker anyway!
If He insists a plant to somehow sprout,
It will have to, without a fuss, that day!

A loving God who made you just from clay
Does care for you, and guides you all through life;
He can’t forsake nor abandon you, aye;
He helps you in overcoming all strife!

The Maker wants His made to obey Him;
He will reward us with Eternity;
Our sins turn life dark, gloomy, grim and dim;
Must we not enter His Holy City?

Abide in God for He is Master true;
Remember that the Lord always loves you!
