Cancer Signs
Looked over,
Passed by,
Forgotten about.
Why try?
Poked,
Prodded;
Torn apart,
Damn it, Doctor,
Have a heart.
Daughter,
Sister,
Aunt,
Wife,
Mother,
Friend,
All means nothing in the end.
Mind weak
Body sore
Can't stand chemo any more.
Here one minute,
But here no more.
The bitter taste of death,
Denial,
Anger,
Depression,
Acceptance.
Constant prayers of repentance
Mourning seems so very endless....
