Today
I woke up this morning
feeling better than I’ve been
with a positive feeling
flowing through me.
I could feel a new page
was about to turn in my life,
a new chapter in my life
was about to unfold.
All the negativity was draining away,
a new and better person
was about to emerge in me.
What sparked this change
is really hard to say,
only that I know my life
is going to get even better from today.
Some remnants of my past will always remain;
the good within me will never change.
I will still be there for others
whenever their needs arise,
but for me as a person
I feel great changes ahead.
The guilt that repressed me
from doing things is gone.
The inner strength of convictions
is flowing stronger into me;
it’s as if new life
is pumping through my veins.
My failures of yesterday
will be my victories of tomorrow
as I feel positivity charging
every part of me today.
