He Just Sits Silently
A little man sits
silently on a high shelf
watching the proceeding below.
From his vantage point
in the café he watches
the owners come and go.
He is a porcelain figure
who stares out at all.
He never smiles or frowns
at anything that goes on.
He just sits silently there.
