For Mary Wismer
It is always a sad
when you hear of someone passing,
especially when that passing is of a friend.
There are never enough right words to say
as the hurt always goes too deep.
Our hearts go out to her family
whom we hold out arms to.
Mary was loved by many
not only for her poetry,
but also as a person
and the friendship that she gave.
She is out of pain now
and in God‘s loving arms forever more,
but that does not distract the sorrow
each and everyone of us feel.
May you rest in peace
dear sister and friend.
