I heard the screams
Of what was told
The screams
Of a man
Who should
Have been free
They chained him
They beat him
But they
Could never defeat him
As he stands alone
On a rooftop of hope
His mother pleads
Please set my son free
Three months long
On a roof with no sun
Just the wind
And the snow
His mind and body broken
But a soul so strong
Years of his life taken
All from
When he was seventeen
How could
Any man go on
I heard the screams
Of what was told
