His Face
His face is satisfying
It brings no thoughts of guilt
only dreams for a future
and inspiration to carry on
and hope that he thinks of me too
but common sense, because he doesn't
but the determination that he will
One day, I'll think back
to the first day I saw
His face in the lecture hall
So little did I know
His face would attract me so
like a moth to a soft light
I fell out of a steady flight
How I found the strength to say hello and shake his hand, I will never know
How I gazed in his eyes, but remained alive, not quite in love, but satisfied
His face then became a regular sight
beside him I sat every day to his right
I found his voice and learned about him
became so nervous but my voice never thinned
His smile, I could just die
I want to see it every day of my life
whether I'm the cause or not
that beautiful beam should never be lost
His eyes twinkled with his grin
as a cheeky comment made me burn within
His arms and chest are so beautifully built
as he smirked and stretched and made me melt
this perfect specimen of a potential lover
tomorrow, will be gone forever
it's the last day we'll sit together
I don't think I can handle being alone much longer
