But A Memory
My life is but a memory
It seems all in the past
and each day that is given to me
feels just like the last
Memories of lovers
memories of friends
memories of summer day
I thought it would never end
Memories of days
I spent on the beach
Dreaming of the girl
That was just out of reach
and days spent pondering life's miracles
and what was meant by each
wondering is it spiritual
or just a pretty girl and a beach
