If only you knew...
Taking off my clothes,
I see all the bruises & scars,
No one has ever seen,
They took all my innocents from me,
In just a minute,
I never thought this would happen to me,
What a horrible person,
That I will never forgive or forget,
Living with this is hard enough,
But telling the person I love is even harder,
Do you really care?
I know you do that's why,
I hide it all from you,
Not because I want to lie or like to,
But because I have to,
I never want you worrying about me,
All of the hurt I keep inside,
Never being able to tell you exactly how I feel,
I do it for you...and only you,
Yes, you surely don't understand,
Though I only pray maybe one day you will,
Just promise me you will wait for me,
Until I'm ready...
Then no more lies, & I'll tell you the truth,
Even if it kills me inside.
