Quotes about hoax
0283 A Poet Condescends
It has been brought to my notice
that a review by you of
my latest book of writings
(the term ‘poem’ suggests
false expectations and is not therefore
used by me) claims that, I quote,
‘this poetry is so obscure that
I reckon it’s a hoax’…
Your comment is truer than
you yourself would appreciate.
My writing is indeed a hoax
in terms of your level of
understanding. I do not seek
easy paths to meaning, nor
the standard readymade language of the
avant-garde. So what I have
worked though, you have not,

Athletes as role models and heroes is a hoax, a sick hoax. The men and women who are fighting in Iraq, they are the true heroes.

Hoax
As they stumble over the crumbling of their foundations...
They still insist they must persist,
To inflict their standards and values.
But a hoax has provoked most folks.
And the joke invoked has them now in tears.
The gloom and doomers have appeared.
They wish to soften the effects of their demise.
Quick they try to cover all told lies.
To hide their deceptions with an injection of relief.
And a promise to restore a greatness,
Anyone of a consciousness can see...
Has been a game for thieves to play,
At their expense and ignorance.
Those precocious folks learn to hoax,
Early.

Igniting What Promises to Be
I feel a jolt,
When both eyes I find...
Glued upon you.
My pulse races,
And there is nothing I can do...
But to keep you in clear vision.
Not to miss one thing your actions emit.
You've got 'it' and I find that attractive.
This is not a joke or a hoax.
I know what I feel is real.
It sits on my emotions too.
And those of mine are here to feel.
To reveal that more with your touch.
I feel a jolt,
When both eyes I find...
Glued upon you.

The Elaborate Hoax
The Elaborate Hoax
Written by Wilfred Mellers, Saturday, February 12,2011, @ 12: 05 PM
What if everything you were told was a lie
Would you just lie down and die?
Would you cease to try?
Would you even question why?
Would faith still render all your decisions?
Would there still be religious divisions?
