Today I am completing 66 years with the blessings of every one
associated with me worldly or virtually.
Six decades of my...... life

Released after nine months
of quarantine in mother’s womb
taking my first breath
measuring the world
infusing the warmth
like the first rays of the sun
touching the heart of greens.

Portrait of innocence painted
painter being the first decade
what was impressionable
absorbed at every stage
eager to learn, by hit and trial
everyone watched me
with surprise and glee.

Buds to rotten fruits

Women, the lovely women,
Start their careers step by step.
They court and flirt a decade,
Fug and calve another decade,
Play infidelity one more decade,
And safely consume lowly inmates
To have their urge safely purged out
Or they might grieve till grave.

Adulthood: A Decade And A Half Plus One

A decade and a half plus one
let me tell you its been fun
and what i mean by that
is simply there has been much change and upheaval
a battle against latent evil
let me tell you, its a constant combat
the principal enemy myself, and the tools of war: the temptation and soul
I am grateful each day, that one day i was made new
that finally i gave up that control
of my life in exchange for a new life, and a purpose, so i could know who
i was and what i was supposed to do, and it is today
that i ponder and reflect and say
i am glad that i am changed, because
i have my flaws
but certainly i had more flaws
i was overcome by evil, and by nature lived to be selfish
with my only wish
to glorify myself, you see I'd help you
and be your friend too
because it made me feel good, not because i had any sort of care

Oh! Mr. Malthus!

"Mother, Mother, here comes Malthus,
Mother, hold me tight!
Look! It's Mr. Malthus, Mother!
Hide me out of sight."
This was the cry of little Jane
In bed she moaning lay,
Delirious with Stomach Pain,
That would not go away.
All because her small Existence
Over-pressed upon Subsistence;
Human Numbers didn't need her;
Human Effort couldn't feed her.
Little Janie didn't know
The Geometric Ratio.
Poor Wee Janie had never done

Never reached in Education

I take getting older seriously. I'm 58, which I never imagined I'd reach - I thought I'd die young. I look in the mirror and see my dad - 'I thought you were dead,' I say - and that's nice. This has been my favourite decade. I've had more fun at this age than any other. For the first time, I can taste my life, and it tastes sweet. I like to think the next decade will be even sweeter.

What are man and woman if not members of two very different and warring tribes Yet decade after decade, century after century, they attempt in marriage to reconcile and forge a union. Why I don't know. Biological imperative Divine law Or just a desire to connect to that mysterious other In any case, it's always struck me as a hopeful thing.

second upon second
minute upon minute
hour by hour
year by year
decade by decade
century by century
burying me

Do not pursue what is illusory - property and position all that is gained at the expense of your nerves decade after decade and can be confiscated in one fell night. Live with a steady superiority over life - don't be afraid of misfortune, and do not yearn after happiness it is after all, all the same the bitter doesn't last forever, and the sweet never fills the cup to overflowing.
