Song of the Palace

Tears utmost gauze cloth dream not succeed
Night deep before palace press song sound
Red cheek not old favour first cut
Slant lean on smoke cover sit arrive brightness
Her handkerchief all soaked in tears, she cannot dream,
In deepest night before the palace voices sing.
Her rosy cheeks aren't old, but first love has been cut,
Leaning, wreathed in smoke, she sits until the dawn.

A Copper Plated Poseidon

A copper plated Poseidon stands testament to the immortality of the Gods.
Water runs smooth shivers down his spine. Black swans soaked in morning
Dew drift upon the wings of one another nearby. Close to the scene stands a memorial
To all those souls sent to the slaughter of the Somme. A church stands,
Un-forgiving in grandeur, concave mirrors flip reality upon the slip side.

I had my tears dried

First, I needed to cry
In utter pain
On every shoulder
I cried my eyes out
I cried
On every shoulder
That was available
I found - all
I found - pity
Not mercy.

Then, I went to cry
At His doors
I laid my heart
Down
On to the ground
Before
I knocked
'I'm here'
I found

The Morning Paper

Carnage!
Humanity disgraced!
Time's dearest toil effaced!
Poison gases and flame
Putting Nero to shame!
Bayonet, bomb and shell!
Merry reading for hell!
The wickedness! the waste!
Courage!
To gain their fiery goal,
Some crumbling, blood-soaked knoll,
How fearlessly they fling
Their flesh to suffering,
Offer their ardent breath
To gasping, shuddering death!
O miracle of soul!

Museum Of The City Of...IV

I doubt it
though I couldn't rule out any of the above.
The picture tells no tales.
But it's probably something simpler-simpler and more routine:
A gin-soaked pleasure boater gone missing and overboard?
A simple suicide?
We shall never know, we, too, being in 1979
frozen in the throes of sultry youth
dozing in a hammock,
under the elms,
just trying to catch some rays.

Victory Of Humility

His face was buried in the warm sand of the shores
and his feet were soaked in the cold water of the sea
He faces the furnace of test
trying to put his conscience to tune
he steps in the rushing waves of trials
and on a stormy winter night, he builds his foundaion
On a lonely cross, his victory was held...
tightened by six inch nails, still it was victory
The Victory of humility!

What price freedom?

People wandering, mingling
Along busy, crowded streets
A chorus of voices
Rises and falls
The loudest voice cries 'freedom'

A blinding, flashing light
The roaring boom of thunder

Mangled, torn bodies
Litter the blood soaked streets
The scent of death lingers
A sweet and ghastly smell
A crumbling building falls
Echoing screams of despair
What price freedom?
What price freedom?

Odaw River

'Odaw River'!
The rains came down and fell on you;
But puerile with your networking was like the muse of love,
And like the naked bodies that were seen around soaked in the rain!

You are the hunter of my love and,
I am the honour of your lovely muse!
But this last noted Empire around is like,
A dreamland for the up coming generation;
Because, the rains have now exposed your secrets! !

A Husband's Regret

she got pregnant only once
on the third month yet
they still made love on the
hard floor of the house
and the lights were on
to see their beautiful
bodies soaked with sweat
and she moaned and blood
flowed and what she got
was not an orgasm but
an abortion

she recovered in the hospital
after a papsmear
and he bought a puppy all
white to mark the beginning
of his regret
on that sad day

Fire, to be extinguished

He had a taste for her; his desire caught fire.
He was mad for her echo; his fire grew violent.
He elicited her nod; his fire went ablaze.
He found her moving out; his fire remained intense.
His grip is loosening; his fire is flickering.
Time may split them apart; his fire will be soaked.
Then he will smear that ash with air and pride,
Till he himself becomes ash on the pyre.
