Quotes about soaked, page 10
Morning Bright
Morning bright, night chill gone,
the scented wind stroking
high, pliant branches,
and I wait for you
in our summer garden;
lush in leaf and yellow rose
and silky grass
in vernal sunshine,
and it's you I wait for in the ivy shade
watching our lazy cat
stretch her dappled fur
on the bright, sun soaked
concrete step.
Like the tender vine
in the warming soil
I am content
to wait

Whither Traveller
Rattle fall rat grey rain,
Lightning torches only the sky,
Earthly feet gropes as braille
Soul's way in night's darkness.
Steamed stew, warm bed, light,
All not me, recedes
Save soaked wood scent
And the crow's croak
Or forest's voice in crow's accent-
Pure cosmology of perfection,
Where began creation
Beyond man's invention-
Dawn opening out to nature,
Reveals this morning of life.

Death Proposel
My hair flying in the wind
My face is hit by the soft rain
I wait by the bridge
He's supposed to be here
Here he comes
His face shows his nervousness
He reaches into his pocket
A box
A ring
I say yes
I jump into his arms
He spins
I kiss his wet lips
My hair is soaked
The rain is coming down harder
A car swerves
It misses me by inches
I hold my face in my hands
Underneath the stars
Lies a dead body

Let Children Be
With eyes of lapis lazuli,
And laughter soaked with unbound joy,
And spirit bold and thoughts carefree,
My role is just to let her be.
To play and act and float and flounce,
But nurture her with every ounce, .
Without control but steadfastly,
Avow anew to let her be.
So that one day she may decree,
She lived with childhood liberty,
To roar aloud 'hey look at me'
My parents chose to let me be.

Ditching Commodity
Once a legacy
Pricelessly prised
Idli, Dosai, Vadai
In the pit of fall
Price-hiked 'Urad'
Consumed cost- rise
Gourmet in the pit of grave
Size reduced and weak
Idli, dosai, vadai
Off almost homes
Unfrequented middle-class
Poor went foregone
'Uradh'unreachably rich
Struggle, quarrel, rebel
'Uradh' soaked in tears
Friendly Rice consoled Uradh
Idli, Dosai, Vadai
Somewhat, somehow

Climbing
Before sinking to knees.
I will talk to flowers.
Day of arrival has come.
In death, wisdom of trees
will eject the seeds
of fire on hip-locked roots.
A miracle will raise the bones
from the rage of crowd.
The king has agreed to depart.
Darkness sings in the
valley of sun.
Tongues are free to weave the moon.
Till the words are ready
to walk on street of sorrow
to remove the blood soaked prints.

Untouchable Paradise
Rolling hills bathed in a sea
of azure skies laid before me.
A golden sun offered me its rays,
and I soaked them in gladly,
wondering if it was real.
Was there a place, just beyond
my knowledge, that was as
perfect as this
landscape before me?
My questions went
unanswered, but when I
took a step towards
my peaceful paradise,
my imagination failed me,
and I was left alone.
In my bedroom.
With a warm memory.

Heart turn to Tilapia
Joh gave Mou small
roasted tilapia fish
Small as it’s
Mou rejected tilapia in greed
And threw it in to river
fat and savoury soaked Mou palm
Mou looked and smelled his palm
He licked his palm
‘’why you throw fish away
And you lick your hand’’
Joh asked
‘’I am not licking but washing ‘’
‘’why don’t you use water’’
‘’my tongue can clean better than water’’
Mou said
What irony

Unblinkered
Somehow I lost myself
My spirit oozed away,
Trickled into illusion,
Greed its many faceted eyes
Had enthralled me....enslaved.
It greedily soaked me up.
Weighted me to the world
Chained by things, by want,
To slowly drown, ... eaten
The consumer, consumed.
Then you came, dancing,
Your fey spirit freed me.
You sliced the chains
With the sword of your love
Taught me to give,
Take only what Is needful,
My soul reclaimed.

Present Creature
My pain trapped from the past, sets a man made future - I bare no fur, i am a present creature - I see, i hear, i smell, the difference is the dead that tells - The whispers from the dark, with axe in hand, to a tree, i remove all the bark - Blood soaked sheets from a mare, the sun shines it is day - Skeletons in my closet, bones in my bed - Shadows crawl on my walls, i have a rose, but thorns in my head screaming with the dead.
