Preachers stay back
Penance is a good means to reach the God.
Surrender and relinquishment are likewise.
Preachers thus advocate and man follows.
Man might reach the God and preachers stay back.

Three conditions are necessary for Penance: contrition, which is sorrow for sin, together with a purpose of amendment; confession of sins without any omission; and satisfaction by means of good works.

The superstition defined
To believe in God is not superstition.
To belief God is superstition.
To believe that your penance and sacrifice
Would bring you fortune or relief
And that you are rescued is superstition.

The absence
Your presence has left,
Leaving in me an absence.
Your silence since leaving
Is causing disturbance.
The shadow behind your back
Show you to me in limelight.
You lure more by absence
With no cure for my penance.

I played a Melody of Greenery!
A blade of grass
Yearning for a dropp of water
Greyed in its painful penance..
With a pitiful tremble fed it
With a pailful of water
And quenched its thirst in great humility.
O on the nerves the earth
I played a Melody of Greenery!

The Elegy To Autumn
Silence will not be the form of you in me
at the edge of fate, we scream
the last sigh of our exiatence.
The veins of trees are visible
devoid of leaves, as if free of all pretexts.
No where to go, blissfully it stands
as the last penance of our outcry.

The Cornfields
The cornfields rise above mankind,
Lifting white torches to the blue,
Each season not ashamed to be
Magnificently decked for you.
What right have you to call them yours,
And in brute lust of riches burn
Without some radiant penance wrought,
Some beautiful, devout return?

(Humility Poem) A Gift
I'm just giving it to you
Take it, don't you argue
Don't make a offer, or a promise something you can't repay.
As friend I don't need or want anything.
As family the love means so much.
With no penance I don't feel I have to.
It just is a want, to feel good about myself.
To say I helped, to say I was their.

Lemons
an married woman made love
to her lover
seven times last night
and she confessed her
sins to the parish priests
who after listening
said that as an act of
penance
she needs to take
seven lemons and squeeze
and then drink it at once
'what for is these lemons? ' she asked
'woman, it can wipe the smile
off your face! ' he answered.

Dance Of The Fool
Disjointed in rhythm
Swirling un-beat
Anchored in motion
stoned with defeat
A qaugmired reaction
though anxious to please
careens a facade
against precarious concrete
Savvy with essence
of deliberate jettison
Swayed by penance
from anguished lessons
Consequence plays
the final rune
masquarading respite
in the dance of the fool.
