Designer Brand

son asks father daily
for designer goods
from clothes to wallet
to shoes to his underwear

wise father decides
to teach son a lesson
about the most important
brand that one should have

'look at this shoe worn by
that famous author. every line,
every crease speaks of him.
the world flies here to breathe his things.
the simplest things come alive with
his aura, his unique brand'

son feels an emptiness in him
immediately. he starts looking at things
inside out rather than the other way round.

Former and Latter

If I Weep,
I want
it to be Torrents;

if I Cry, ,
make it Tsunami;

if I Lust
have me be Ravenous;

If Sad,
have my eyes
Glow in the Dark.

Empathy for me
must be Complete;

Love All Consuming;
Pity must be
the Heights of Grief;

Glass may be broken

Glass may be broken
Pieces may be lost from love token
But it is not complete story
There lives behind unknown glory

Little with for restoration
To live for strong relation
Hand in hand and breath to breath
Total devotion till the arrival of death

Neither broken pieces are not important
Not the number of reflections seen instant
It is feeling that is spread over
See it your self from pieces you cover

Wind has blown
But together not completely flown
It was fault of our own
Now it has become known

Mona Lisa

MONA LISA

All through the days of the week
Double-busy with my table work
I can return home little earlier, but
Have to sit with my son's homework

And if I am really free at home
My kind wife would order some jobs for me
Dusting the windows, cleaning the ceiling,
Washing the gas-stove and scrapping the sump clean

But for her duties as merely a housewife
She keeps a servant full-time on all meals basis
Just as a ‘mistress' she does only supervise
With her starched Kota sarees' crease never shuffling

Scientists make bombs but politicians use it

Creativity Creates (The "C" Fever)

Creating ceaseless comforts
Creatively created creation,
Concisely clear content,
Clueless cementing composition,
Caressing crafty craft,
Congrats clubbed commendable creation,
Commanding ceaseless circles,
Creating cloudy colors,
Crawling calmly,
Counting countless counts,
Cool celebrations convicts
Cremating conventional classes
Costing clueless camouflage
Cruelty camping carcasses
Champions cuddle compositions,
Commenting courageously,
Converting classical cases,
Crap claps contingently,
Clamping coarse comments,
Continents commends creativity,

Emily Dickinson

I tie my Hat—I crease my Shawl

443

I tie my Hat—I crease my Shawl—
Life's little duties do—precisely—
As the very least
Were infinite—to me—

I put new Blossoms in the Glass—
And throw the old—away—
I push a petal from my gown
That anchored there—I weigh
The time 'twill be till six o'clock
I have so much to do—
And yet—Existence—some way back—
Stopped—struck—my tickling—through—
We cannot put Ourself away
As a completed Man
Or Woman—When the Errand's done
We came to Flesh—upon—
There may be—Miles on Miles of Nought—

Sucummbing

Today I lost my allure;

it left me on 42 avenue

where I stood

my two breasts i surmised

had sucummbed another inch to gravity

and this had been noticed by the hard hats

who measure such things.

and the lines that lined my face advanced another millimeter

now visible for them to see

where such sensiitivity exists

Between the Now and Then

Upon horizon, night to day ~
there between the now and then,
I often pause along the way,
to tiptoe through the moonlit glen ~
or perhaps take in sun's light,
night to day ~ day to night.

Upon horizon, day to day ~
there between the then and now,
as seasons grow along the way,
to crease the face of timely brow ~
or perhaps steal time away,
day to day ~ day to day.

Upon horizon, day to night ~
there between the now and then,
I stand beneath my autumn light,
bereft as memory calls again ~
to pain the heart with bygone sight,
Night to day ~ day to night.

A Letter From England

Dear Boy
As it appears to us old fogeys
If you'll excuse the term that we adopt
You and your battery of bowling bogeys
Seem to have come a rather nasty flop.
Psychology, you know, and moral suasion,
And all these fine nuances of the game
Appear to us, at least on this occasion,
To have been, so to speak, a trifle tame.

We would not be too hard; we know your task is
Sterner than we supposed when you set out
Avoiding criticism, all we ask is.
Please dropp 'shock tactics' and cut 'stunting' out.
Try to avoid a batting ace with roots on,
Like Don's, to keep him at the crease, old chap;
Use only bowlers who can keep their boots on,
And, please, please don't count too much on that cap.

If you think it would make your prospects brighter

Their All Jolly Good Sports

Batsmen stand at their crease
the aim is to get them out
fielders dive about for catches
when the ball has been given a clout.
Boxers step boldly into the ring
they try and knock their opponent out
as they move and bob around
the crowd get excited and shout.
The dart player at the Oche
throws his darts at the board
while a Fencer thrusts his weapon
trying to win points with his sword.
The Formula One driver
has to have nerves of steel
as he tears around the circuit
sat behind his steering wheel.
Golfers with their putters
driving the ball towards the hole
as the football teams star striker
scores another winning goal.
