Quotes about crease, page 4

Unexpected Memento

a sweet, unexpected gift from a great poet Kevin:

Through the valley of poems I roam
To come upon a little fruit, a sweet morsel
A poem that brews into sentimental foam
Shaping the smile of the poetess Jessel
Her lovely face appears with delectable taste
She hurries to mine heart in passionate haste
Her smile designed from her hearts desire
Her eyes an emotional sea of feeling
Each poem the air of her thoughts fire
Burning her inside, quietly healing
The pain of her and the pain of another
Her smile, her sweet reverie, where she rest in peace
As peace finds rest, in her sweet smile crease

To Emily Dickinson

Dear Emily, my tears would burn your page,
But for the fire-dry line that makes them burn—
Burning my eyes, my fingers, while I turn
Singly the words that crease my heart with age.
If I could make some tortured pilgrimage
Through words or Time. or the blank pain of Doom
And kneel before you as you found your tomb,
Then I might rise to face my heritage.

Yours was an empty upland solitude
Bleached to the powder of a dying name;
The mind, lost in a word’s lost certitude
That faded as the fading footsteps came
To trace an epilogue to words grown odd
In that hard argument which led to God.

Bluesman

He's just
Any old man
In any old bar
With a guitar

Then a drunk
Comes up and say's
Play us a barre

Every line on his face
Is a hook
For a book

Every crease in his neck
Is for the pain
He had to take

So he didn't care
About some young drunk
He just pulled up a chair

Some Bodies

Some bodies are so well lived in
they look older than their time.
Hard living has aged
every crease, wrinkle and line.
They look much older
than they really should.
Their expressions is worn out,
their laughter thin and bare.
The life they’ve lead
has taken the toll there.
The youth they should have
has disappeared without trace,
now all everyone sees is hardness,
no softness or grace.
Many things can cause this aged look upon a face,
that’s worn and tired look, long before its time.
Some say it is caused by this and that,
but no one is really sure.
Only that it happens
and it could to anyone.

Early Dawn

again the sounds of the strong waves
reverberate in your mind
the strong winds may have gone
to another place
you know not where but they will always be there
you are bound to write another piece
perhaps one now for your niece
oh, there are other more important things to do
they all tell you
but you cannot do otherwise
you are bound to write another piece
a beautiful one
another important piece
not only for your niece

something about inner peace
not about Greece or any caprice
it is about God and goodness full
He keeps on loving on a handful
All of you, without crease without grease

Fist and Fist

Guard the fist with another fist,
To foot the blame drifts so as to assist;
The fighting boasts, it treats, it mends
And resurrection created promise that sends
A message to the layers of the soul,
The being of a created one, in his bowl.
To befit the times we have begotten a kind
That dissolved the youth and its mind.
It was a company of strangers too much in peace,
That is how we differ in us, this is the centerpiece.
My actions have a crease, it spoilt me,
Where I prayed for some time and got to see.
This prayer is void as the cosmos
When I worshipped for someone close.
The encounter I experienced was mad,
I have to face the hairy scene as the sad.

The Negative Rains

THE NEGATIVE RAINS

The pouring rains has just stopped
The lane is empty with no one in sight
Wiped so clean and shinning in light
Chastely new, is in wait for someone it knew

Her fragrant jasmine freshens up the open tunnel
Gently lifted saree rigging open the rare leg panel
Pitching her every step carefully in a forward pace
Luminous hinds lighting up the murky sky

Chilling breeze on her shivering crease
Drizzling dews on the oily cheeks
Partly drenched with mirror like backs
Setting the street on a romance-full blaze

Fridge cool postures, water logged breast cases
Dripping waterlines along the in skirt laces
Rare comes the blossom with the rains of the season

Ink (for Theresa Marie)

As I crease each page with the pressure of my point,
Cutting into the flow of each character,
I strive to lay lines to the surface of meaning.

I attempt to make sense of the flow of my thoughts
As I try to define with each separate line
The value that each gesture strives for.

I cut into pieces the correlation
Among the characters in my narrative;
Between scribing and feeling.

But this contradiction between purpose and process,
Between intention and muscle response,
Belies the nature of liquid.

For the amount of flow,
If nature has its way,
Is determined by the size of its reservoir.

A Lifetime In Your Hands

Baby.

On the floor they lay
Not a wrinkle or crease to save
Little hands do wave
Wanting to play

Young child.

In dirt and muck
Hands still mild and soft
More by youth than luck
Plays the young child hands aloft

Teenager.

Learning in school
For peers appear cool
In paint and ink
Their hands do stink

A Mansion of Love

Love was agape
And earth too began to shake
When they saw divine and his lover
in a secret soul’s bower
hugging in adoration’s lap

During blushing daybreak
they surreptitiously escaped
to roam on
love drawn map
on Venus landscapes
Wherein flows, love kissed lakes
tickled by devotion’s sheldrakes

The mansion
adored by the ruby’s swastika
bedecked by diamond’s obelisks:
Wherein incandescent chandeliers,
tease by romantic breeze
sings the songs of divine bliss
