Quotes about tweet, page 4

Pitchers and Catchers

It’s the 21st day and there’s snow on the ground
It covers home plate and it’s piled on the mound.
It’s dumped in the infield; it’s heaped on the seats.
The ballpark is silent, not even a tweet.

But sooner than later we’ll all hear the sound
Of ball hitting glove as it gets tossed around.
Pitchers and Catchers are soon to report
A sign Spring is coming much sooner than thought.

The camps are all opening early this year
In just weeks I'll be watching from up in the Tier
My Yanks will be better than Shakespeare I hear
As Pettite plays Hamlet and Posada King Lear.

The Sounds Of Nature

The Sounds Of Nature
O, tis so sweet.
Who am I
That would dare try to repeat
The lovliness of a tweet.
The flutter of its wings
The tiny cute prints
Of a little birds feet.

The Sounds of Nature
O, how beautiful yet afar.
Are raindrops against the windshield
Of a still parked car.
Each little drip dropp runs
Caressing the mind so intensely
Seemingly just to play a part
Or perhaps for the fun of it.

O, The Sounds Of Nature
Sometimes deeply doth groan.

Sonnet: God is Fair to All

Who says that newborns babble and don’t talk?
Others can’t interpret their baby-sounds;
The lions, tigers, cheetahs- their prey stalk;
Their valiant behavior knows no bounds.

Who says that birds just chirp and tweet and sing?
They can well converse amongst themselves oft;
Both sorrows and Joys like men, life does bring;
The minds have anger, jealousy yet soft.

As man knows not much things happ’ning around,
He considers the world of beasts as dumb;
Communication is in them too found;
They talk by body-movements and keep mum.

Man is so high in Evolution! Yes
The needs of other creatures, God did bless.

Don’t Dress Up For the Occasion

Don’t dress up for the occasion
It’s only you and me
And a lyric without explanation
With words coming steadily

Writing thoughts on a sheet
Riming it all into place
Naming the text what it need
- Oh, there are so many ways

I could go on and ask you
What should I fix up more?
Then you could tell me what to do
To make me feel more assure

Expressions warped in text
Playfully the words are fixed
I can't explain what comes next
It’s complicated and mixed

The American Cremation society
Is offering 'hot deals'” this week.
We get pitches for Pfizer's viagra
by snail mail, on Facebook, by Tweet.

Brochures for an all senior residence
litter our nightstand these days.
There silver haired ladies and gentlemen
pop pills for their nightly forays.

There are bankruptcy ads on the radio
to help manage credit card debt.
There are pill ads to help me remember
what drink used to help me forget.

The cars that they hawk to us seniors
Are designed to just putter around
Not for me Candy apple red Corvettes
To race about with the top down..

The Lost Love

Quote
'Behold me not
with your lovely wide expressive eyes
I have no words for appreciation
you may be divine
withholding your desires
I am a mortal
yielding to
basic intentions.'
Unquote.

Remember the day
when we had met
I had said so
and you
blooming like a lotus
opened your arms.
I remained a mute witness
to a ravishing storm.

Summer's Over

Mom where are you summer’s over
Are you still sitting at the beach?
In your short chair toes buried in the sand
Reading a book wearing your sunglasses
Summer is over won’t you come home?
I’m missing you and your smile
Let’s have a clambake or maybe burgers
Even better we could go to Tweet’s
Or maybe Peg Leg Pete’s
That way you won’t have to cook just enjoy
Summer is over won’t you come home?
I miss you Mom I wish I could see you
Or even just hear your voice
I didn’t even know you were sick
I wish I could have been there to say goodbye
To let you know I’ve always loved you
Summer has always been special to you and me
We always loved going to the beach
Summer’s over and I am very sad
You’re not coming home

A Robins Call

As the Robins cherps in the early morning light,
the female comes into nets to relieved her mate,
the male goes of to find some food to eat,
as then the the female begins to tweet,
"the egg is cold you lazy baster,
I should peck your dairy after,
I will have to sit here way to long,
as your lazy ass is gone,
she chirps I need to eat,
and repeats I need to eat, "
The male comes back into the nest,
a chance for him to rest,
to keep all the eggs warm,

may it get go away,
unit another day,

Onomatopoeic

Don't you just love Onomatopoeic words
ones like Crash, Bang, Wallop, and Zoom?
in Batman and Robin you saw them a lot
across the screen would shoot POW, ZAP, KABOOM!
In horror movies you'd hear a thunder Crack
and things that Creak, and go Bump in the night,
noises going Click, Clunk, and Clank,
your heart Thumps as your having a fright.
Snakes Hiss, birds Tweet, Cows Moo,
Cats Purr, Pigs Oink, and Ducks Quack,
Owls Hoot, while the Sheep just Baah,
but if a dog Growls beware it could attack.
Your cereal goes Snap, Crackle, and Pop,
in the frying pan the bacon does Sizzle,
but you've answered a Tap and Knock at the door
when you return your rashers are burnt to a Frizzle.
Yes it's a strange word is Onomatopoeic
but for poetry it doesn't really matter
because you can use words like Zing, Ping, Splat,
Plunk, Plop, Swoosh, Squelch, Splutter and Clatter!

Songs of the night

As these night climbs over the heels of our affection,
please tell me that my dreams will be devoid your smiling face,
O lass of mogul esteem,
Make not of my heart your flirtatious ground,
For I bear and fair in charmless glee
Your subtle smile,
Of cloudless clime,
Streaming down the state of my veins.

In this night of sweet, tweet, giggling hour of splendor.
My throbbing heart shall be our minstrel,
The moon and the stars;
By their luminous hue
Shall linger upon the Marguerite,
We shall be the audience,
or maybe a little minuet.
And then I shall delight in blushes,
Or maybe I shall blush,
In the way your eyes of marcasite and skin of emerald,
Saccharine at these lovely nightly hour.
