Quotes about oceanic, page 4

Twilit Reveries

I watched the roulette
take over my life
and merged with the echoes
fumbling these streets
with no destinations

I pawned every breath
and wasted my nights
into dreaming awake
whilst the city lights buoy
the somnolent atmosphere

I hearkened for the minutiae
crackling bones of the clock,
snapping every second
like hands vying to hold on
and trembling for my despondence

I dragged my death stick
and basked in its sensual touch -

Typhoid Cycles Unique Hells

ascended fevered
two flights
of mammoth stairs

on glass legs
splintered shards
sticks drained powerless

acute bones aches
never ending faint tired
sleeping endless hours

oceanic cycle sleeps
wake shaky to urinate
immediately rehydrate

delirious pass days
endured in sleep bliss
depression confused dawns

Laughing Moon

An Ocean route causes my nocturnal sorrow;
remorse and falsities keep me awake;
odd years and forgotten songs I borrow,
with demons transferring my mistakes.

They are my lost pals! From Oceanic depths,
they jump and dance dressed as buffoons,
and each one keeps a violin or trumpet,
as they play around me, their looney tunes.

Quite a group! A theater in a dusk folklore
drunken musicians, organs distuned
are smiling with swollen faces to yore
in front of a half-hidden laughing moon.

Quite a feast this is! Hoarse sound of hymns,
amidst horns, vociferous trombones and lyres;
my joker pals in air jump! and sing;
I inherit their foolish laughs and tears.

Festival Ganesh Chaturti

What though the Lord be beheaded
Handsome more He but resurrected
What though the killer be Siva or Sani
In arena of ganas He but more a honey

Risen in every home and town
Trunked of netted tenets renown
Schismatic what though so many
Oceanic His deeds against those villainy

Born of mystical legends strange
What though hued Him many we change
Unchanged He but bulged of cosmic acumen
So and now needy Lord, Ganesh for human

Happy Birth Day to Ganesh
Jollification high on ritual bash
He but the first Lord of gyring wisdom
So and now out His deco of decorum
He but the first bestower for the earthlings

If There Is No Moon

If there is no moon,

How possible could it be?

Your lips
Won’t wobble
Far from your chin.
It will be only a gazer
Shouting
Cold words
In a lost deserted Cancun.

If there is no moon,

You won’t irrupt
And spill out
Any of
Your hot and angry lavas,
But a
Liquid of

Sunset Pedagogies II

The scripts that built bridges toppled
Into the famished and oceanic mouth
Where every sunset soused its itching
I searched inside every vacant room
And marauded transparent dooms
Where I may find you flaying colors
Or flitting among flared starlights
All these corridors stood in the semblance
Of your open palms, echoing your psalms
To steer my feet into the end
Of this labyrinthine pondering
And self-pitying and destructing
And in my hopefulness I nearly forgot
The boudoir of yellow petals that was cloyed
By crimson laces and fervent kisses
Is taken to an odyssey by an exonerated sea
And the lighthouse remained unlighted
So in this labyrinth I tried to find
My own room instead and tried
To find my sleep, my lullaby

Domestic Shades 1

1
As early from bed I rise
So early the electricity dies
Accustomed hands paint blind shades
Then a lit candle lights the house
Unwilling to break a tradition
I go on the kolam expedition
Custom unlocks the portico
With water and quartz I go
Dawn is Mahalakshmi's time prime
So dark, also stealer's time crime
I'm warned to be back inside
My hubby is in fear's stride
I let him keep shouting
Safe then is my feeling
I finish haphazardly
Cursing the power-failure highly

When she was wide and deep in bulk

Airy you were

Airy you were in my dream, I felt you;
you had a bluish ribbon to twine,
my souls' ocean drops in cold truth,
the stars above ironically to shine;

.......................

I beckon; winds wave in worlds lost;
my glance to fair trails in home field,
a chorus of lost Angels foremost,
singing a monody of my soul's grief.

So there she talks; from far beyond,
the heights of glassy domes, of stars,
wishing - coins thrown in a pond,
a fantasy dreamer I am, behind bars.

Oceanic vastness, memories voiced,
- teary depths prohibited, I sail to only
caliginous, danger links of moist

Insufficiency of Maps

Fifty million days of yalda
Thirty thousand strides to surmount
Two lost footsteps
An obfuscated horizon
And a vulpine mirage veiling
The photographs that never lied

I wallowed in the traceless sand
Of this oceanic wasteland
Six feet above an abysmal trench
Where all your promises sank
The air is putrid with the stench
Of macabre gushing from your mouth

The emaciated clouds plastered
The evening stars and their directions
Whilst the spigot of life poured
Draining what's left to drought
And these veins closed like breaths
Heaved for a final stride

The Sea Is Very Big

Do not ask me to be the wave of some vast sea.
I can agree though if you promise that the wave of the sea
Will but lose itself in the depths of the ocean and
Return again to the refuge of the childhood river.

I do not want to merge with the sea, for
It is vast, it has too great a pride,
And I am afraid of it.

It is bent on devouring the river
in intoxicated ravenousness, but
I refuse to be its victim: only
I can be its occasional companion
some morning, or,
May even go with it to the far distance
some lazy noon.

Provided it gives me the pledge
That each evening it will restore me to the quiet
River of my childhood, which I have seen
