The World's great Empires have gone to decay
They rose and they fell and each had their day
And one Super Power rise as another does fall
And the small will grow great and the great become small.

The Pharoahs and the Aztecs and the Incas as well
And the all conquering Romans too had their glorious spell
And the Spaniards and the British of the recent past
Were known to be great Empires but they too did not last.

The Soviets and Germans great power did command
But their demise not that hard to understand
Since great powers they come and great powers they go
Though nothing lasts forever as history does show.

Genghis Khan and Napoleon and Alexander the Great
These all conquering heroes had their use by date
Though in the history of the World their names living on
The Empires they ruled over like them are long gone.

Posed To Throw Away Democracy?

we are now entering
another power flux in history
beware American Empire
is posed to throw away democracy?

to advance capitalist elitism
and an absolute ruthless
control of earth's last resources
by a fraction of the world's

super dictator populations
plague mega rich virus
festers in all human races
ethnic imaginative disguises

Roman empire needed legions
armies forts to control its empire
Genghis Khan exterminated
all people in wilderness areas

idealism ***** ANCIENT WARS ARE CURRENT TERROR

Old wars were glorious
had justifiable noble purposed
necessary, understandable
tagged with humanitarian
heroic reasons
for survival sake
weapon's hit of curiosity
discovery and experiments
no business deals
territorial identical crisis
fought for freedom
vengeance and integrity
against empire explorations
with dynasty's cultures, traditions
religions, art's differences sparked
frictions among unriped nations
from ancient Sparta in Greece
via Genghis Khan attacked
back to Holy land crusade
via American civil war

Can a man - all alone - foist a god upon his fellows
Even if it's only himself
And they his subjects

Does the muezzin from the minaret of Qoutoub-Minar
look up or
down to the illiterate savant emperor
whose newly-ordered cosmos
much as Tamerlane and Genghis Khan's blood
mixed gods
invented the Gysin-Burroughs cut-up and fold-in method

The Trail of Tears

You have the trail
but where are the tears?
No idea?
You are not that interested in tears
of those who had trodden the trail
from Georgia to Oklahoma
with little to eat or to clothe themselves
Might have seen hundreds and thousands of dead corpses
lying on the outskirts of the trail
with lice and bugs eating their flesh
The winter cold is so harsh
the blanket that they were wearing with bare feet
won't keep them warm
and What about the US army soldiers
once in a while raiding the folks
with a bundle of babies and little kids
they have to survive the long walks and the
cold and the starvation
to look for the place they can call home
for their homes were ripped by the white

Probably the most bizarre and unusual song wayne and I have ever written. a driving song about the craziness of everyday life.
Sometimes I feel like this world
Is just one big gigantic merry-go-round
You gotta hold on tight or you get hurled through the air
Yeah, life is a three-ring circus
With clowns and freaks and camels and such
And you never know when you might be attacked by the bears
