Little Girl

(words & music: marie fredriksson)
Published by shock the music
Once upon a time there was a little girl
Once she was mine
In my heart the only one
I wonder where you are
I know youre somewhere in me
I can see your smile when I close, close my eyes
Oh little girl
Where did you go, little girl
I miss you so
Oh, I remember when she was mine
I remember when she was mine
Once upon a time there was a little voice
Singing loud and clear
In my heart the only one
Once upon a time there were so many dreams
Once they were mine
Oh little girl, theyre with, oh theyre with you now
Oh little girl
Where did you go, little girl
I miss you so
I remember when she was mine
Oh, I remember when she was mine
Oh girl, little girl
Where did you go, little girl
I miss you so
Oh, I remember when she was mine
Oh little girl
Where did you go, little girl
I miss you so
Oh, I remember when she was mine
My little girl
I remember when she was mine
Oh, I remember when she was mine

Just to see your smile

Just to see your smile

Just to see your smile
The stars gather in the sky
And to feel your touch
The wind passes by

Just to see your smile
The waves hit the shores
And the sun wakes up so early
To see you offcourse

Just to see your smile
Fragrance comes into flowers
And to touch your hair
Water pours down in showers

Just to see your smile
The moon follows you everywhere
There’s someone else too who
Often follows you, if you care

Just to see your smile
I can bring down the stars
And decorate your way
With beautiful flowers

Just to see your smile
I have waited for years
Leading a life that was
Sunken deep in tears

Just to see your smile
I can give away
Everything I have
Without any dismay

Just to see your smile
Gives me happiness without measure
I wish I could see it
On your face forever

Just to see your smile
I thank God for these eyes
In five feet four inches
My whole world lies

I Wonder Where You Are Tonight

Tonight my heart is sad and weary
Wonderin if Im wrong or right
I dream about you though youve left me
I wonder where you are tonight
Chorus:
The rain is cold and slowly fallin
Upon my window pane tonight
And though youre love was even colder
I wonder where you are tonight
Its spring, the birds are gaily singing
The trees are blossoming so sweet
No other love was quite so happy
No other love was so complete
Repeat chorus
Then came the dawn the day you left me
I tried to smile with all my might
But you could see the pain within me
It still lingers in my heart tonight
Oh, the rain is cold and slowly fallin
Upon my window pane tonight
And though youre love is even colder
I wonder where you are tonight

I Wonder Where You Are

Often we are not apart,
And needing.
With our hearts too near,
And accessible to feel.

We have not been many times distant,
To miss what is wished...
For us that is clear.

I wonder where you are,
When I am here wanting you.
I fear I do,
Someone new you might meet.

I am that insecure.
And this only you can do to me.
When I am not sure,
If I satisfy your needs completely.

We have not been many times distant,
To miss what is wished...
For us that is clear.

Often we are not apart,
And needing.
With our hearts too near,
And accessible to feel.

I wonder where you are,
When I am here wanting you.
And I fear...
I do.
Someday you may not find,
I satisfy your needs completely.

I wonder where you are in it all?

I know of signs
of stars raining down
from the sky
and loosing their glitter,
of the sun
that doesn’t shine for a day
and the moon
that disappears for a time
and then hangs red as blood
and of the powers of heaven that shake.

I know about people trying to make peace
and how the world,
turns more and more to war
and how nations try to gain resources
from each other.

I know about famine
and deadly illnesses,
that spread unending over the continent
and about earthquakes that let cities crumble
and tsunami’s that brings deadly waves.

I know people in cities
that despises each other in the traffic,
who curse in anger,
who find joy from loose girls,
who hang out in nightclubs
and sit self-righteous
in the front rows of the church.

I wonder where you are in it all
and if Christ,
has a place in your heart.

I Wonder Where You Are

SHALL i wonder where you are?
no more

i am on my on now
and so shall you be

you choose loneliness
i choose mine too

i know it is hard to forget and forgive
but i have learned to accept this: nothing is permanent except

change.

so go, find yourself, i go my way now, finding another.

The Shadow Of Your Smile

The shadow of your smile when you are gone
Will color all my dreams and light the dawn
Look into my eyes, my love, and see
All the lovely things you are to me
Our wistful little star was far too high
A teardrop kissed your lips andd so did i
Now when I remember spring
All the joy that love can bring
I will be remembering
The shadow of your smile

I was thinking about your smile(written on july 13 2008)

I was thinking about your smile
Just the other day
Thinking about the way you left
As the tears rolled down my face

I was thinking about your smile
When i was by myself
Just thinking about you
And the day tha you left

I was thinking about your smile b
Before i went to bed
All my memories of you and i
Were rushing through my head

Even when i grow older
Which is gonna take awhile
Ill remember how much i love you
And ill be thinking about your smile

Your Smile... Ill Walk A Thousand Miles...

If only you would smile for a little while…
I’ll walk a thousand miles..
Just to see your smile

I’ll do anything to make you smile just for a while…
Will you smile? ? ?
When your feeling blue…
Give me a clue…

When I see your smile… it reaches inside me for a thousand miles…
When I feel like there’s a thousand knifes inside…
I just remember your smile
It can mend a thousand times…
Walking a thousand miles just to see you smile
Is soo worth my wild…
Your smile is not wild…
It’s so mild…

Your smile is soo free…
Its easy to see
Makes my day worthwhile…
Smile for a while…
Hearts will get near…
Words will be dear…

Your smile melts an angry heart
Such a gentle smile
Soo just remember to smile
And ill come from a thousand miles…

If You can Keep your Cheese - after Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your cheese while few about you
are holding onto theirs', all envy ease.
If none can get your goat nor cow could doubt you
your scent which, heaven sent, can tell true bries
from gorgonzola, parmesan without you
planning for house mouse contingencies,
or short supply where larder rats may scout to
grind, compromise the tasty rind most please.

If by a whisker cheshire follows trout to
provide fit end for sweet delicacies,
or cheddar meat meal follows leaves no gout to
blur enjoyment, taste buds' harmonies.
If desert heat no threat presents, no pout too
in winter's cold where lizard's blood would freeze,
If neither flood nor drought can mar, throughout you
may triumph over blue mould colonies.

If all kowtow, if none would ever flout you
remembering to bow before ‘big cheese'...
if hole in one you score in club you clout to
take golden trophy - competition flees.
If all above's accomplished taste devout, true,
while others fail to prove their expertise,
your's is the world, which elsewhere's up the spout, few
can make their time your rhyme's real_I_tease!

Cropped Apologies to Rudyard Kipling
If you can keep your crops when all the nation
rails, vain assailing creepy crawly bugs,
If you can thrive when most lives' reputation

If you can sow, show though you stay surrounded
by failing harvests sere upon the stem,
where hopes unfounded, speculations grounded,
face farmers who through jealousy condemn.

If greenhouse gases can't delay your planting,
with fallow Brussels' edicts all ignored,

Advice to an Applicant
If you can back your boss and keep on smiling,
while toning down his brash absurdities,
if, having watched the man manhandle filing,
you rearrange the folders pretty please,
if coy and charming, beautiful, beguiling,
anticipating all contingencies,
you manage new accounts, contacts redialling,
correct crass spelling, cover vagaries...

If you can keep your head while he's resiling,
evolve successful counter-strategies,
if ‘mum's the word', discrete, ignoring tyling,
from busy-bodies safe when he agrees.
If you can spend your time in reconciling
his intellectual inanities,
never upset his fragile ego, heiling
whene'er he feels the need, or profits sneeze...

If Windows easy comes, while modem dialing

yet know your place as cypher, never riling,
remembering to bow before ‘big cheese'...

If you can stand him publicly reviling
your good ideas, then claim them his with ease,
can watch while rival's ruin he's compiling
so coldly that a lizard's blood would freeze.
If when betrayed by his ambitious wiling
you triumph through innate abilities,
ignoring basic scheming, baser guiling,
you seize the precious point he never sees! ...

If you won't blush when, rash, he'll rush, exiling
your intuitions as freak fantasies,
but confidently while free-time he's whiling,
circumvent his incapacities.
Surpassing him in brains, tact, versatiling,
you never strive to swap your salaries,
but both feet on the ground, still patient, smiling,
can counteract his incoherencies...

If you are sure his image needs restyling,
select the suits that suit down to the tees,
if you are ever ready camomiling,
or sprinkling sugar, creaming, coffee, teas,
if you can trick his wayward infantiling
and censure not his immaturities,
ignore his clumsy tries at fond defling,
yet fondled, tactful, rise from off his knees...

If you take three degrees while reconciling
your private life to further Ph.D.'s,
if you can children bear without work piling
and keep them free from trouble and disease,
if you can spring his quick promotion - vile thing -
and play the game of happy families...

If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on';

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
Rudyard Kipling 1865_1936

Biff! The same father to the same son, now grown up.

If you can keep your job when all about you
Are losing theirs (by cutting down of screw) :
If you can keep yourself - for, make no doubt you
Won't get allowance, just for you to blue.
If you can make a heap by all your winnings
Risked on outsiders backed at Kempton Park,
Don't think that you will always get your innings
And kiss your boss's daughter in the dark.

If you should risk promotion, aught should tempt ye,
Eyeing the safe when all the staff have gone,
And, jemmying it open, find it empty,
And hear the watchman growl to you, ‘Hold on! '
If you should fill the unforgiving ‘minutes'
With names of all the people you have ‘done, '
Yours is the gaol, and everything that's in ti,
And, what is more, you'll get six months, my son.
Rachel Ferguson Nymphs and Satires 1932

A London Sparrow's IF
If you c'n keep alive when li'l bleeders
Come arter t' wi' catapults an' stones;
If you c'n grow up unpertickler feeders,
An' live on rugidge, crumbs, an' ‘addock bones;
If you c'n nest up in the bloomin' gutters,
An' dodge the blinkin' tabby on the tiles;
Nip under wheels an' never git the flutters,
Wear brahn an' no bright-coloured fevver-styles;
If you ain't blown b'nippers (Cor, I'd skin ‘me!) :
Stop y'r shells nah, warm-like, under me;

If You can Keep Your Man
If You can Keep Your Man when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
Avert a break-up when he starts to doubt you,
Without behaving like a tart or shrew;

If you can bake a cake or change a nappy,
Although you've got a good Redbrick degree,
And yet can say you're reasonably happy
When other graduate wives dropp in for tea;

If you can lose yourself in ‘To the Lighthouse',
Yet, changing books, seek first the Thriller shelf,
If you can laugh at Mrs. Mary Whitehouse,
But sometimes wince at Wednesday Plays yourself;

If you stand up for Women's Liberation,
Think sex equality long overdue,
Yet purr when men evince consideration
And in a bus or train stand up for you;

If you can be a protest march frequenter,
But sometimes think the marchers a bit queer,
Yet, spite of everything, stay left of centre,
Oh, well, who knows? You may be right, my dear.
Stanley Sharpless

If You Can Crush
If you can crush, when all your chums are cribbing,
The urge that beckons you to do the same;
Can keep your tongue from telling tales or fibbing,
And can, when others err, take all the blame.

If you can nurse a crush on dear Miss Withers,
Yet bully off with just one silent tear;
Be resolute when even Matron dithers,
And weld the House together with a cheer.

If you can foil the fiendish Russian spy-ring,
Who've ‘got a hold' upon the Head (the swine!)
And by example selfless and inspiring,
Can make those ghastly Juniors toe the line.

If you while staying virgo quite intacta,
Can scoff at those who label you a prude;
And, when you leave, can know you've never slacked or
(Except to Ma'moiselle) been flip or rude.

If you can scale such pinnacles of virtue
And earn your teachers' praises as ‘a brick',
The truth, dear girl, (I do so hate to hurt you) -
The simple truth, dear Daphne, is you're thick!
Martin Fagg

IF
If you can stand the Quest and all her antics
When all around you turn somersaults upon her deck;
And go aloft when no one has told you
And not fall down and break your blooming neck;

If you can work like Wild and also like Wuzzles
Spend a convivial night with some old bean,
And then come down and meet the Boss at breakfast
And never breathe a word of where you've been.

If you can fill the port and starboard bunkers
With fourteen tons of coal; and call it fun;
Yours is the ship and everything that's in it
And you're a marvel; not a man my son.

When I Close My Eyes (Love Poem)

I can see your smile
My heart beats fast, needing you with me in this exile

I can feel your arms…
Holding me close, I feel safe with the girl of my dreams

I can feel your body…
Responding to my touch, your kisses sweet as candy

I can feel your love…
Two hearts become one, your passion makes me feel alive

I can feel you now
Your love, my life, my hope and my reason to be

I Need Your Smile

I need your smile
If I can’t have you
Then let me have your smile
I need your eyes
If I can’t have you
Then let me see your eyes
Let them draw me to your face
And see your smile
I need your words
Let the music of your words
Fill my head
To make me watch your lips
And then desire
To kiss them once again
Like in the past
To look into your eyes
To witness your sweet smile
The music of your laugh
To want you once again
If I can’t have you
Then let me have your smile

Your Smile...

Your smile
Your smile
No one can ever make me smile unless its your smile
I cant seem to control my smile when ever I see your smile
The thoughts of your smile makes me smile
A smile soo beautiful… soo nice…
Just a simple smile of yours makes my day…
Its funny how such a smile can mean soo much…
When I’m down all it takes is your smile to make me whole…
Your smile makes my emotion screams in every way…
Your smile
Your smile
Your smile is the sunset in my world…
When your not smiling the world turns dark…
But when you smile my world brightens up…

The New York Times

Oh,
It makes no sense to me
Yeah, I was living in a different world when I heard the news
I keep having the same bad dream
And it makes me want to hurt all the people who have done this thing to you
When I see your face, I can see you smile
Read all about you in the new york times
When I see your eyes, I can see your light
When I think about what happened
It makes me crazy
It makes no sense to me,
This eye for an eye thing,
It has gone too far
I dont know anyone who doesnt hurt inside
I would like to believe we could learn from this
And maybe some day we can make things right
I want to believe in this world
I want to believe in this life
I want to believe in a world that does not seem real
When you read between the lines
When I see your face, I can see you smile
Read all about you in my new york times
When I see your eyes, I can see your light
When I read about the world
It makes me crazy
I want to believe in this world
I want to believe in this life
I want to believe in a world that does not seem real
When you read between the lines
Gotta read between the lines
Whoa, gotta read between the lines
I really want to believe I can make things right
I want to believe I can learn to feel alright inside
I want to believe I can learn to make things right
Oh, I want to believe in this world
I want to believe in this life
I want to believe in a world that does not seem real
When I read the new york times
I see your face, I see your smile
Read all about you in the new york times
I can see your eyes, I can see your light
When I think about what happened
It just makes me crazy
When I close my eyes
You seem so alive
I really think about you
I want to believe we can make things right
I want to believe
I want to believe
I want to believe
I want to believe
Oh, I want to believe in this world
I want to believe in this life
I want to believe in a world that does not seem real
When I read the new york times

A Slogan

The Sun, Moon, Stars and Planets
all were abandoning in the Milky Way.
So, do not let them solve your destiny.
The God who hides in your heart is better than the God
who remains in picture frames?
When you stand in front of a mirror
you can see your god.
when you smile; he too smiles.
When you cry; he too cries.
Life is not a 'once upon a time' story
which has an ending?

Meet Me Halfway

Never dreamt I would hope
While I count the miles
Through the wind and the rain
I can see your smile
There aint no turning back
I can see it in the distance
Got it in my sight
Like a vision like a face
Coming out of the sky
You were there not a dream
You were there in my eyes
There aint no turning back
I can see it in the distance
Touch it through the night
Driving into the light
When Im on my own
When Im all alone
Wont you meet me halfway
Wont you meet me halfway
Is it a dream?
Is it a dream coming true?
Meet me halfway
Like a vision like a face
Coming out of the sky
You were there not a dream
You were there in my eyes
There are no words to say
I can see you in the distance
Hear you through the night
Aint no easy way
When youre on your own
When youre all alone
Wont you meet me halfway
Wont you meet me halfway
Is it a dream?
Is it a dream coming true?
Meet me halfway

I miss you...

I miss hearing you say 'Miss. Long Legs'
I miss you showing me how to make a cake
A cake that you would make from scratch
Decorate yourself
It would take all day long
But I would sit right next to you
I miss the advice you would give me
I miss hearing your stories
Oh My Darling...
I miss the jokes you would tell me
I miss being able to call you
I miss going to your house for sunday breakfast
I miss saying 'grandma can I have more toast'
I miss going for rides with you
I miss collecting cans with you and grandpa
I miss seeing you smile
I miss the hugs you use to give me
Most of all I miss you more than ever
The day you past
It felt like my whole world caved in
I don't think I ever cried so much
The family just wont be the same
You held everyone together
Now who's going to tell me stories?
Who's going to make sunday breakfast?
Who's going to give me advice now?
Know one could ever replace you
I love you so much
I wish you where still here
I need you more than ever right now
I know your in a better place
Hopefully I will be able to see you soon
I cant wait for the day
That I can see your smile again
I miss you grandma

Far From The Heavens

I see the pain in your eyes,
i see their hatred in disguise.
I can feel the pain hidden in your pride,
and i can see nobody by your side.
I can see your face been masked with fears,
and i can taste the salty solution of your tears.
I can feel the anguish running in your vains,
and i can hear your cry through your pains.
I can see your terror in your past,
and i can see your smile that didn't get to last.
I can see the path where you failed,
and i can see the truth and why they lied.
I can see the reason why you went astray,
and i can see your terrors all in array.
I can see your anger each time you cry,
and i can feel your faustration each time it didn't dry.
I can feel all what you can feel,
that feeling of an aching kneel.
I can gather the pieces of your broken heart,
and your hopes that has been torn apart.
I feel your miseries that hunted you through the night,
and i can see why it took away your light.
I can see why you've been blinded by lust,
and why it feels so cold like frost.
I can see the ageing in your age,
and i can feel the range in your rage.
I can understand why you beared all these crosses alone,
even when you have someone that will never leave you all alone.
I can see you are on a mission,
on the lonely road of destruction.
I can see your future in the hand of fate,
and why it makes you irate.
I can see your face down in shame,
when you got no one to blame.
I can see your soul sinking in sin,
where all what it can hear is a loud din.
For every thing happening today,
you don't know where to run or stay.
No matter how hard you try you can't run away from your tomorrow,
cos it looks as good as a broken mirrow.

Sometimes Your Eyes Can Display Your Feelings

Sometimes your eyes can display your feelings,
sometimes a moment is balanced in silence,
when something unseen speaks.
Sometimes your eyes can display your feelings
when love accepts the smallest thing as being right,
when we learn deeper things from that, which is unsaid,
Sometimes your eyes can display your feelings,
sometimes a moment is balanced in silence.

Sparks Fly

by: leslie and mona

although it won't be long,
until we talk,
it almost feels like foreever,
when we are apart,

you always say the right thing,
no matter if i'm,
happy or sad,
you make my day brighter,

i just thought i let you know,
the way you make me feel,
because everyday gets better and better.

I may not know your face
But I can see your smile
And I can feel your heart
And I can hear your thoughts...

And I love them all... Can't wait till we speak next.

Empty

How could it be that you know me
My deepest fears my fantasies
Confide in you what no one knows
But it feels so real

[CHORUS:]
(when I close my eyes)
I can see your face
(when I lick my lips)
I can taste your smile
(when I see your name)
My heart starts to race
(if I can't read your thoughts)
Then I feel empty
(when I close my eyes)
I feel empty
(when I close my eyes)
I feel empty
(when I close my eyes)
Whoa I feel empty
(when I close my eyes)

Is this a new way to love
Never face to face is it enough?
Does it really count or am I a fool?
So tell me please
