Boris Pasternak

It has always been assumed that the most important things in the Gospels are the ethical maxims and commandments. But for me the most important thing is that Christ speaks in parables taken from life, that He explains the truth in terms of everyday reality. The idea that underlies this is that communion between mortals is immortal, and that the whole of life is symbolic because it is meaningful.

That Has Always Been a Dream

Why are you playing dodgeball?
In the middle of traffic on the highway?
You 'must' have a death wish?

'I'm seeking immediated feedback.
Plus I'm testing the hearts of my fellowmen,
To prove my wellbeing is their priority!
But don't distract me.
My partner is behind you.
And getting ready to throw me the ball.
I tagged him out!
I told him he had no chance to win.
No guts...
No glory.'

Why didn't you follow.
And remove yourself out of harm's way?

'And lose my advantage?
I'm up by three points.'

I thought you were testing the hearts of your fellowmen?

'I am.
But if I win this game,
I'll also gain the sound of applause.
And that has always been a dream I wish to fulfill.
And I am 'thisclose' to achieving it.'

It Has Always Been A Struggle

it has always been a struggle.

time is a thread
connecting two strange bridges
one walks
and balances in order not to fall
to the abyss
of failure

it is always a question of
how i touch love with love

i carry love and the one i touch
does not recognize the warmth of my
hands

it looks at me as though i am a stranger from a very far land

i am always broken and sometimes i wish to have the hands of Midas
not the kind that makes everything gold

i want to have the snake hairs and the gaze that can make those who do not see love in me

turn into stones.

it has always been a struggle and when the shadow of death comes with his sickle

i will speak no word at all
and gladly shall i go with it

it is my wish for now.

We Have Been Learning From Life

We have been learning from life from the day we've learned to crawl
And our gift of life 'twould seem to me is our greatest gift of all
And those who believe they know it all to themselves only lie
For we will be learning from life until the day we die
And life is never easy for many it would seem
So many low in confidence and low in self esteem
Those who aspire to great things treat lack of success as defeat
So many disappointed people living on every street
Of every town and city and that is Worldwide
A lack of success for many goes with a lack of pride
And that's how it has always been and how it will remain
Without personal success many believe respect you cannot gain
We have been learning from life before we crawled on the bedroom floor
And we would be learning from life if we lived for ten thousand years or more.

The Freedom Of The Cloud

the powerful has no visible arms
but it will always make you feel that you are nothing without it
and if you do not take side, what are you?

a leaf fallen.

a used tissue paper with all the dirt wet with the rain
lost in the mud.

they will say you are a loser because you have never taken side with power
whatever that be
whoever shall it oppress
and it should not have been you if only you have chosen to obey the rules
and just be with them
and play

your mental constitution rebels for it has always been
independent as the wind
that goes in and out of a window
and hovers for no
one.

what do you want to prove? that you are better than the rest?
that you are not corruptible?

these are the questions that hang on the ceiling of your
innocent mind
like bats
they do not have cages
like bats they only live on their free nights
because the days
are prisoners
because the common light
is a yoke

you are alone now and so to live you must sing your songs of
independence to your ears

be light like a cloud and have no mountain as master
hang there for a while and then drift endlessly

is this not freedom?

Depression = 2012

DEPRESSION = 2012

The clean-up of the housing crash and bust
Is by no means over or recovering yet.
Painfully we suffer the misjudgments of men
Greedy for profit and free from regret.

Far too many are out of work and looking for jobs
More than any time since the Great Depression of the past.
Food and fuel cost more every day that we live
As the futures of America and the World are cast.

A true measure of change is our only hope
We must turn to prayer seeking God's answers to renew.
Honesty, humor, faith and integrity
Are all we need to practice and pursue.

Life has always been Heaven's test of resolve
To teach us we are never in total control.
It is God who decides the outcomes of sin
As the consequences of unfaithfulness take their toll.

What Would Be The Purpose

Taking it to falsify someone's character,
Eventually results in the discrediting...
Of the person making adverse comments.

Not only is the person who has been defamed,
Discovered not to be the person believed to have been known...
But also those who become aware of this,
Realize the only information they get about anyone depicted...
Has never come from the mouths of those,
Who are themselves the 'horses'.
You know what I'm sayin'...
Those who actually lay down their own life track.

That information has always been given by someone,
Running their mouth giving opinions to have others quickly believe.
And doing it as if they've been annointed an authority.
Whole families have been ruined by people like that.
People who are jealous and lie about the actual facts.

When people eventually meet someone who has been scandalized.
Their actual personas aren't accepted.
In fact,
It is perceived they are in disguise.

'Why do they act like that? '

~Act? That's who they are.~

'That's not what I've been told.'

~Well...
When was the last time you had a conversation with them? ~

'I've never had a conversation with them.
What would be the purpose? '

The Blueprint States

It has always been significant.
That blueprint.
It describes their events!
Time released...
And to them sent.
But alterations to it...
Was never meant.
They have been trying to find,
Ways to avoid it.
Undermining the message.
And becoming annoyed by it!
And the blueprint states...
Exactly what the stakes are.
They have their scholars shouting in their ears.
Even Earth itself...
Can not get them to hear.
And they can not conceive,
This Earth living and breathing at all!
A common sense within them,
Has been ego enthralled!
And nothing sent...
Can transcend their dementedness.
They truly believe they are descendants of the heavens.
And yet their actions represent a demonicness.
And that blueprint goes ignored...
With every detail being abhorred!
As if to wish its existence,
To simply fade and go away!
Like a 'sanity' that now betrays them.
And the 'deities' have given them that!
And it appears as though...
They are clearly too powerful.
And here to take every shred of sanity back!
It has been selfishly abused...
To feed the greed of mindless fools!
What height of arrogance is this?
To dismiss what has been to them given,
To correct their senselessness!

Romney & Obama Debate Poem = 2012

ROMNEY = 2012

If any single question can be said to rule the day
And dominate the 2012 presidential campaign,
It is whether the conservative policies by Mitt Romney
Would benefit or hurt all who suffer and complain.

Our country is at war with financial collapse and moral ruin
With multitudes out of work and consumed by justifiable fear.
Every day the news gets more doubtful and hopeless
As the righteous pray for all they love and hold dear.

We need a president that can inspire and motivate
The hearts and souls of Americans and their concern.
All through history we suffer from misjudgment and mistakes
As we pray and meditate we transform, advance and learn.

THE PRESIDENCY

Those who wish to be President
Must practice what they teach.
For their people need inspiring
To believe what they preach.

Take heed therefore, unto yourselves
You overseers of the flock
Or the voters shall cast you out
For your futures are not of rock.

Life may place you in deep waters
Though it doesn't wish you to drown.
It's your past record that lets us know
Who you are as you smile or frown.

If you wish to be remembered
From the truth you must never part.
Power corrupts the best of us
When we stop listening to our heart.

DEPRESSION = 2012

Is by no means over or recovering yet.

Parts Of Me

There is one part of me that
Feels safe sometimes, that part of me
That doesn’t go outside of my front door and
Just stays home and listens to music playing and
Sings along softly to the tunes while
I paint my life’s story in vivid colors or
Write my testimony over and over again, though in different words every time-
My dream being that someday I shall be discovered
As the person I truly am-
That person who wants the world to know
That the path I have walked has been
Scattered with stones and branches of fallen trees-
And how I have bent over to collect those stones and
How I have kicked the branches aside- That person I truly am who
Is like a bird with broken wings but has found a way to fly-
Perhaps not high in the sky but flying, just the same or
Maybe as a deer with a broken leg who still can run,
Perhaps not at a galloping speed but running just the same-
There is a part of me that is terrified and has always been-
Terrified of the people in this world so vast and so threatening-
I have found myself a cave inside of which to hide and
Here I can sing, dance or just merely talk- I have pulled the curtains shut and as I
Whisper words as incoherent as they may be-
It hardly matters because no one is here to
Slight me or to interrupt my performance-
So many have often said how lonely I must be-
Living alone inside my shelter, though a safe place for me to hide-
Safe with the curtains drawn, windows shut and doors locked and chained-
This one part of me is none but victorious as
I call myself a survivor, having collected all of the stones and
Having kicked all of the branches on the paths I walk aside-
Happy to be here at home- singing and dancing-
I can laugh and run about here and sometimes when I step outside my sanctuary
If only for a moment and I could tell any passerby –
I am never alone, never lonely because
The whole world could disappear within a gust of wind- and
I am not alone in this world or never lonely only because-
Even if every person in this world would vanish, I shall always have myself-
The tunes I carry- the canvas upon which I majestically paint my life’s story-
And most of all- my dreams-

It has generally been assumed that of two opposing systems of philosophy, e.g., realism and idealism, one only can be true and one must be false; and so philosophers have been hopelessly divided on the question, which is the true one.

The Year Of The Tiger

China has just said goodbye
to the year of the Ox - 2009.
China has always been kind
to the animals waiting in line.
A different one every year!
2010 is the turn of the Tiger
when the Pied Piper will play
a tune to honour each Tiger
beneath the moon, in China.

Going There

Of course it was a disaster.
The unbearable, dearest secret
has always been a disaster.
The danger when we try to leave.
Going over and over afterward
what we should have done
instead of what we did.
But for those short times
we seemed to be alive. Misled,
misused, lied to and cheated,
certainly. Still, for that
little while, we visited
our possible life.

The Racial Gun!

the racial gun
has always been pointed
at the masses....

by those who control us
for their own benefit.

'keep them afraid of each other,
make them hate each other,
tell them they're different! ....

anything to keep them
from realizing they're all human,
and joining together! '

anything to keep us from rising up,
and throwing off the chains
of oppression!

folks, there's only two kinds of people....
the masses, struggling, working, needing,
living, loving... just trying to get by....
all different colors, male and female....

and the ones who keep their finger on us,
well hidden, well insulated....
who take from us to feed their greed!

Missing Song Number One

Tonight I have nothing to read except
Sherlock Holmes so terribly abridged
as to constitute a sin by the criminal
editors of Readers' Digest, they have
carefully removed all excitement to
make the final Conan Doyle dish so
bland it is like eating dry rice, raw fish
without sushi embellishments, drinking
luke-warm tea - in a word, as boring
as can be - they have an uncanny
ability to reduce every great tale to
nothingness

This is Friday night - which has always
been one of the most difficult times for
me - at school it was easy, I used to
learn music or geography - then spent
a wonderful hour in the magical cave
known as my brother's bedroom listening
to the week's Top Twenty Hits, delighted
to be amongst old radio and bicycle parts,
batteries, books and various tools, falling
asleep then stumbling back to my room
after missing Song Number One…
