in Japan's destructive recent huge tsunami
sweeping way communities once built right
to sea water's edge trusting in sea walls built

designed built after deadly small 1960 tsunami
ignoring hundreds of ancient tsunami markers
stone tsunami warnings hundreds dot coastline
'If an earthquake comes, beware of tsunamis'

modern Japan this time heed ancient wisdom
ancestors in earlier generations left warnings
'Octopus Grounds' are places sea life washed
up by tsunami gives warnings naming temples

after powerful tsunami waves gives warnings
stone markers warned of danger to coastal lives
'Always be prepared for unexpected tsunamis.
Choose life over your possessions and valuables.'

people trusting in protective modern sea walls
did not listen after earthquake people went back
to their homes to collect valuables all got caught
in choosing possessions riches lives were lost

The Holocaust Files: (32 poems) are a work in process and this reference will be removed upon completion. This is a collection of holocaust related poems to give voice to the 12 million killed, tortured and enslaved by the SS during World War II. The Poles, Romani and Slavic victims who are sometimes overlooked in brief reviews or marginalized, will hopefully have a poem as their voice by the completion of this project. The poems will ease into and out of the full extent of this horror, to contrast kaleidoscopic images of the holocaust in tribute to the slaughtered, and may provide a differing overview of Nazi Ideology to address succinct examples of how and why in historical perspective. (Historical optional background notes, have been added below some poems to assist in this purpose.)
The cruelty of topic material in some of the main poems may shock or offend innocent readers. Looking up pictorial images of these events is not advised for children.

in the coastal city of Kesennuma
one stone marker of ancient legend
warned of tsunami danger fables

'Always be prepared for unexpected tsunamis.
Choose life over your possessions and valuables.'
generations believe not unseen with own eyes

Tetsuko Takahashi seventy safe in her family
hillside house watched from her front
window fate of neighbours who had ignored

carved in stone tsunami wave warnings

like a lost toy a half-mile helpless inland

crushing in path buildings family homes

the Mysians, fighters at close quarters, the noble Hippemolgi, who

But King Neptune had kept no blind look-out; he had been looking
admiringly on the battle from his seat on the topmost crests of wooded
Samothrace, whence he could see all Ida, with the city of Priam and
the ships of the Achaeans. He had come from under the sea and taken
his place here, for he pitied the Achaeans who were being overcome
by the Trojans; and he was furiously angry with Jove.
Presently he came down from his post on the mountain top, and as
he strode swiftly onwards the high hills and the forest quaked beneath
the tread of his immortal feet. Three strides he took, and with the
fourth he reached his goal- Aegae, where is his glittering golden

and said, "Ajaxes, you two can be the saving of the Achaeans if you
will put out all your strength and not let yourselves be daunted. I am
not afraid that the Trojans, who have got over the wall in force, will
be victorious in any other part, for the Achaeans can hold all of them
in check, but I much fear that some evil will befall us here where
furious Hector, who boasts himself the son of great Jove himself, is
leading them on like a pillar of flame. May some god, then, put it

Give Your Heart To The Hawks

1 he apples hung until a wind at the equinox,

That heaped the beach with black weed, filled the dry grass

In the morning Fayne Fraser gathered the sound ones into a

The bruised ones into a pan. One place they lay so thickly
She knelt to reach them.

Her husband's brother passing
Along the broken fence of the stubble-field,
His quick brown eyes took in one moving glance
A little gopher-snake at his feet flowing through the stubble
To gain the fence, and Fayne crouched after apples
With her mop of red hair like a glowing coal
Against the shadow in the garden. The small shapely reptile
Flowed into a thicket of dead thistle-stalks
Around a fence-post, but its tail was not hidden.
The young man drew it all out, and as the coil
Whipped over his wrist, smiled at it; he stepped carefully
Across the sag of the wire. When Fayne looked up
His hand was hidden; she looked over her shoulder
And twitched her sunburnt lips from small white teeth
To answer the spark of malice in his eyes, but turned
To the apples, intent again. Michael looked down
At her white neck, rarely touched by the sun,

Tsunami In Japan,2011

My daughter’s hand had slipped away!
My hand was empty in a trice;
Sea-water took her in a flash;
It happened all so suddenly!

There was no time to think or act;
The water toppled houses, roads;
Cars, ships and planes were found afloat;
Nothing could stop the sea invade!

I woke to find that I’m alive!
No more was my daughter with me;
Oh, what terrible tragedy!
Was living thus, worthy for me?

All land was under sea-water!
Most houses were mere planks of wood;
The muddy rubble filled the place;
Just corpses, carcasses met us.

Was it a dream of horror then?
No, it was all reality!
The sea ravaged the coastal land;
The city was erased from the map!

A Tsunami had struck Japan!
It was the worst over decades;
The toll of lives was rising high!
Did God forsake and abandon?

I had been saved by miracle;
The Tsunami came despite God?
Why Nature’s fury hit mankind?
Yes, none can tell and none will ev’r!

‘May all souls lost, rest in peace!
May the quake and Tsunami cease! ’

Experience Reality Legend Fable

experience is life real raw felt first hand
individually family community endured
wounds physical emotional are mourned
disaster horrific impact wounds seasoned
salt tears shed bitter loss stuns afflicted

experience witnessed is etched into landscapes
experience witnessed stretches to far horizons
disasters holocaust plague beyond comprehensions
acceptances tolerances tested beyond pain thresholds
normality security shelter food resources possessions

centuries-old stand carved stone tablets
hundreds of tsunami warning stone markers
fabled tsunami waves devouring land lives
devastation legendary loss dwarfs memories
scale wave force shadow outruns warnings

witness awareness realities lost in three generations
generation enduring disaster becomes aged survivors
experience memory disaster to their children passes
experience more distant to their grandchildren passes
three generations fades forgotten from living memories

experience reality legend myth fable forget
three generations till people warnings forget
community crucial knowledge people forget
busy with lives love jobs experiences people forget
all except wise souls tsunami warnings heeding forget

Earthquakes And Tsunami

Some scientists had located a missing geological piece therefore,
They found a puzzle of plate tectonics in the Southwest Pacific Ocean.
East and West Antarctica had spread twenty six million years before.
The rift between them opened one hundred miles due to this motion.

The scientists had clearly described how the Pacific tectonic plate,
The North American plate and others have moved at different points in time.
As one plate moves, the adjoining one is affected and there were adequate
Theories about plate moves, earthquakes, tsunami and changing the clime.

One plate affects the other one because the mantle was planetary pieced
In a plate tectonics jigsaw puzzle, named the 'global plate circuit' mystery.
Zones around the Antarctic Ross Sea and the West rift were imbalanced,
Pushing other plates and this fact has been a mystery for a quarter century.

Knowing about the plate motion around Antarctica is an important key
To understand the motions between the Pacific and North American plate,
To understand better than before the East and West Antarctica geology
And to determine the plate motions in California, until it is not too late.

The West Antarctic rift system is still active as a result of a movement
Along the boundary between East and West therefore, the lack of information
About the seafloor spreading and the plate motions is an advertisement
Because we don’t know what can modify this strong puzzle motion.

The inclusion of this East-West Antarctic motion in the global circuit explains
The gap between Pacific and Australian plates, Adare region, which really
Is the missing plate boundary in the Southwest Pacific, causing the main
Motion and, with the Alpine Fault, modifying the plate motion history.

It affects the motion between spots in the Pacific and Indo-Atlantic Oceans.
It explains the formation of the Transantarctic Mountains and the puzzling gap
Between the Australian and Pacific plates and it explains some notions
About the deformation of this area, the Pacific Ocean being like a spinal tap.

The earthquake near Christchurch in New Zealand confirmed that a country,
Already riddled with fault lines, has gained another one, which ran below
New Zealand, causing many earthquakes each year and lieing on the boundary
Between Pacific and Australian plates, under the Australian Eastern plateau.

Pacific plate subducts below New Zealand's North Island and the Australian
Plate subducts below the South Island, while between these two subduction
Zones lies the Alpine fault, along the mountainous spine of the South Island.
The quake was a result of a fault activity, in a new tectonic combination.

That fault appeared on September, shaking Darfield, someone tried to relate.
Someone else said that a tsunami in the Atlantic Ocean is a rare event
At the subduction zones in the Atlantic basin, along the the Caribbean Plate
