You know Ganesha!
Ganesha you are bountiful
benevolent,
generous, so kind,
You give
You shower,
everybody’s prayers
howsoever petty,
You answer,
open-handed.
They rejoice
when they see you,
their faces
and spirits
beam/gleam
in delight.
What I watch
with awe is
when they
carry you on them,
for immersion
after week-long
festivity,
you seem
to enjoy
that ride
reveling…as if you’re
a small child
being taken
on a piggy-back
joy ride,
your face smiles
in each facet
contented and satisfied
looking forward to
the immersion,
happy,
please Ganesha
give me the boon
