True Word Unspoken
A ray of light
A warm spark of emotion
Till it's dark as night
Slurred in slow motion
A glimmer remains
But turns to stone
Overcast in reset
I am the unknown
My spark disguised
Curled into a ball
Hidden and safe
Never recognised at all
Withdrawn but protected
True word unspoken
I remain undetected
Forced to be unwoken
The hurt inside loud
I've tried to break out
Inside I am proud
I have tried to shout
An identity theft
Of the purest white
My true being left
In the darkness of night.
