Poem: Will You Travel With Me To Heaven?

When you wake up in the morning
From a dream you think is okay
You see your spouse and family
Get ready for another day

The dream you saw, the things you see
The bed on which you soundly sleep
Your kids all grown up, your husband
And old memories that you keep

Who do you think created them?
Were they created from nothing?
If there is no god who made these
All, then what's the point of living?

D'you think we were made from nothing
Then from nothing we live for fun
To eat and drink, to love and hate
Then when we die, what comes is none?

The eyes with which your body sees
Those sockets that keep your eyeballs
The mouth you use for food and speech
The way you answer random calls

The languages you use to speak
And another –your mother tongue-
The way you carry yourself, and
How you breathe through your heart and lungs

The muscles that stretch when you smile
Your friends who often make you laugh
The words you try to understand
And how you sign your name so fast

Your kids who once stayed in your womb
The months you carried them in you
Your feelings when you saw their first
Walk and when they smile back at you

The food you eat and cook each day
The rainfalls that fall from above
The earth you walk on each night and

The Liar

Back from the crowd stood i
As you moved up to the stage
Catching the singers eye
Looking older than your age
Then I couldnt help thinking and remember when
You hated rock and roll
Im the loser
Youre the liar, liar
Rock and roller
Youre the liar, liar
Star struck strummer
Youre the liar, liar, ohhhh
Taking my heart each day
When you say you do no harm
How can I feel that way
With those strange men on your arm
Cause I do remember when your head was clear
And you didnt read those looks
Im the loser
Youre the liar, liar
Rock and roller
Youre the liar, liar
Star struck strummer
Youre the liar, liar, ohhhh
And I couldnt help seeing when your friends arrived
They werent sniffing from a cold
Im the loser
Liar, liar, liar, liar
Liar, liar, liar, liar
Liar, liar, liar, liar
Liar, liar, liar, liar
And I recall that overhearing someone say
Youre a working girl as well
Im the loser again
Youre the liar, liar
Rock and roller
Youre the liar, liar
Star struck strummer
Youre the liar, liar, ohhhh
Youre the liar, liar, liar
Youre the liar, liar, liar
Youre the liar, liar, liar
Youre the liar

Satan Absolved

(In the antechamber of Heaven. Satan walks alone. Angels in groups conversing.)
Satan. To--day is the Lord's ``day.'' Once more on His good pleasure
I, the Heresiarch, wait and pace these halls at leisure
Among the Orthodox, the unfallen Sons of God.
How sweet in truth Heaven is, its floors of sandal wood,
Its old--world furniture, its linen long in press,
Its incense, mummeries, flowers, its scent of holiness!
Each house has its own smell. The smell of Heaven to me
Intoxicates and haunts,--and hurts. Who would not be
God's liveried servant here, the slave of His behest,
Rather than reign outside? I like good things the best,
Fair things, things innocent; and gladly, if He willed,
Would enter His Saints' kingdom--even as a little child.

[Laughs. I have come to make my peace, to crave a full amaun,
Peace, pardon, reconcilement, truce to our daggers--drawn,
Which have so long distraught the fair wise Universe,
An end to my rebellion and the mortal curse
Of always evil--doing. He will mayhap agree
I was less wholly wrong about Humanity
The day I dared to warn His wisdom of that flaw.
It was at least the truth, the whole truth, I foresaw
When He must needs create that simian ``in His own
Image and likeness.'' Faugh! the unseemly carrion!
I claim a new revision and with proofs in hand,
No Job now in my path to foil me and withstand.
Oh, I will serve Him well!
[Certain Angels approach. But who are these that come
With their grieved faces pale and eyes of martyrdom?
Not our good Sons of God? They stop, gesticulate,
Argue apart, some weep,--weep, here within Heaven's gate!
Sob almost in God's sight! ay, real salt human tears,
Such as no Spirit wept these thrice three thousand years.
The last shed were my own, that night of reprobation
When I unsheathed my sword and headed the lost nation.
Since then not one of them has spoken above his breath
Or whispered in these courts one word of life or death
Displeasing to the Lord. No Seraph of them all,
Save I this day each year, has dared to cross Heaven's hall
And give voice to ill news, an unwelcome truth to Him.
Not Michael's self hath dared, prince of the Seraphim.
Yet all now wail aloud.--What ails ye, brethren? Speak!
Are ye too in rebellion? Angels. Satan, no. But weak
With our long earthly toil, the unthankful care of Man.

Satan. Ye have in truth good cause.

Angels. And we would know God's plan,
His true thought for the world, the wherefore and the why
Of His long patience mocked, His name in jeopardy.

Liar

As a dancer she's undercover
Won the Big Don to be her lover
Had to make him tell her his secrets
About his buiseness and about his street-rats
She had to become his trustful right hand
The bureau needed the files with his brand
She really was a damn good actress
Everybody called her 'Big Don's Mistress'
Oh, it's just a show
Put on for love
How could he know
Liar, liar
Sweet desire
Liar, liar
Who are you
Liar, liar
Play with fire
Liar, liar
Learn the truth
She sent the messages to her office
The Don reckoned he will face a judas
So he told her of a damned deceiver
Secured, in her he was a strong believer
He confessed to her being sick of all this
How he suffered in the deepest abyss
But saw in her the wish for a new life
To escape from there and wake her his wife
No, not just a show
Put on for love
How could he know
Liar, liar
Sweet desire
Liar, liar
Who are you
Liar, liar
Play with fire
Liar, liar
Learn the truth
It had turned somehow
She had not seen how
Felt the bullet still flying
Straight into her heart
Tore her old world apart
Now to live on she first had to die
There's a reason to live
Now to live on she first had to die
There's a reason to give
There's a reason to give in a lie
Liar, liar
Sweet desire

Hollywood Liar

Liar, liar, liar, hollywood liar,
Who are you, to crash my party, with your mediocre blues,
Your powder has no power over me,
Dont talk to my friends, the way you talk to the girls from the valley,
Youre just another liar to me,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
I can see right through your act, the way you lie to yourself,
About deals you know dont even exist,
Dropping all those names the way you think the game should be played,
Youre just another liar to me,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
(say) too mon to mon toul le jomey le very tey,
Too par too par, cullear, reason,
Unfortunately youre my neighbour,
But certainly not for long,
Huh, Im the writer of this,
Im the printer of that,
What you gonna do next?
How you gonna top that?
Distributor of this,
Editor of that,
What you gonna do next?
How you gonna top that?
How you gonna top that?
How you gonna top that?
(? )
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood,
Hollywood,
Hollywood,
Hollywood liar,
Kiss me?
(? )
Hollywood liar,
Hollywood liar,
I dont buy it baby!
You just get out of my party!

Mother’s Cry of Late

Where for art thou, soldier?
Out East? West? –
And when? –
What part your rabid history?
And why? –
What wrought your destiny? –
For whom
You’d wreak your enmity –
I crave your fate to pen!

What comprehension of the
Order? –
‘Listen up! you men!
Raze to ground the taken land!
See they die and e’er you’ll stand, for
Death is but a grain of sand –
The mighty triumph, medal grand!

Now go you well!
Amen! ’

What sight upon the bloody lie
Of war? – your doubtful fate.

‘Where for art thou, soldier? ’ –
Your mother’s cry of late.

Soldier's Ghost

I bled for you - would you for me?

I blessed a skin in blazing fuel
Then took a bullet in a duel of
‘He or I to Die.'

I often question ‘Why? '
Do you?

My country was my life to give -
Would you for country cease to live?
Sinking in a mire of death,
You have no choice -
So while you're still alive,
Rejoice!

I cried in failure - did you care?
And as I waned, were you aware of
What I did -?
Fighting for my country while you hid
Behind your comfort back at home?

Still relaxed?
My wife and child are fading at the tomb.

Rudyard Kipling

The Young British Soldier

When the 'arf-made recruity goes out to the East
'E acts like a babe an' 'e drinks like a beast,
An' 'e wonders because 'e is frequent deceased
Ere 'e's fit for to serve as a soldier.
Serve, serve, serve as a soldier,
Serve, serve, serve as a soldier,
Serve, serve, serve as a soldier,
So-oldier ~OF~ the Queen!

Now all you recruities what's drafted to-day,
You shut up your rag-box an' 'ark to my lay,
An' I'll sing you a soldier as far as I may:
A soldier what's fit for a soldier.
Fit, fit, fit for a soldier . . .

First mind you steer clear o' the grog-sellers' huts,
For they sell you Fixed Bay'nets that rots out your guts --
Ay, drink that 'ud eat the live steel from your butts --
An' it's bad for the young British soldier.
Bad, bad, bad for the soldier . . .

When the cholera comes -- as it will past a doubt --
Keep out of the wet and don't go on the shout,
For the sickness gets in as the liquor dies out,
An' it crumples the young British soldier.
Crum-, crum-, crumples the soldier . . .

But the worst o' your foes is the sun over'ead:
You ~must~ wear your 'elmet for all that is said:
If 'e finds you uncovered 'e'll knock you down dead,
An' you'll die like a fool of a soldier.
Fool, fool, fool of a soldier . . .

If you're cast for fatigue by a sergeant unkind,
Don't grouse like a woman nor crack on nor blind;
Be handy and civil, and then you will find
That it's beer for the young British soldier.
Beer, beer, beer for the soldier . . .

Now, if you must marry, take care she is old --
A troop-sergeant's widow's the nicest I'm told,
For beauty won't help if your rations is cold,
Nor love ain't enough for a soldier.
'Nough, 'nough, 'nough for a soldier . . .

If the wife should go wrong with a comrade, be loath
To shoot when you catch 'em -- you'll swing, on my oath! --
Make 'im take 'er and keep 'er: that's Hell for them both,
An' you're shut o' the curse of a soldier.
Curse, curse, curse of a soldier . . .

Losing Life to Fear

In fear of being heard,

In fear of being understood,

In fear of not being heard,

In fear of not being understood,

In fear of being misheard,

In fear of being misunderstood,

In fear of hearing too much,

In fear of understanding too much,

In fear of saying too much,

In fear of saying too little,

In fear of being too enlightened,

In fear of not being factually correct,

In fear of being too bright,

In fear of being too ignorant,

In fear of being praised,

In fear of being bullied,

In fear of not being like others,

In fear of loosing my individuality,

In fear of being camouflaged,

God Has Back [1]

My God is so good, he always listened to my complaints
My God is always wise to give instructions to the silence {Allah sent the Prophet gave instructions and guidance in the form of words}
My heart feels at peace when I close
My heart is upset when his far
My God is the best and fairest
Always let me, do anything {devotion to the creatures of Allah wants, Allah did not leave but it's all accounted for before Him}
My Lord is the most beautiful and beloved
Seemed to favor life when feeling protected
Most willing to listen to my heart pain
With the soothing my soul smile
I want to follow my lord, my lord good example {Humans can not imitate his Creator, man is obedient and disbelieve in Allah}
My Lord has come back in my heart {Allah is above the heavens, not in the heart, the instructions that can be illuminating and reassuring}
My God always comfort me with His peace
Silent and calm caress me, I feel the pleasure of Allah {not silent, nor caress you}
My God always comfort me when I worry
My God is the most obvious
Besides my god is all just an illusion. {Not all are His creation}
Lord with me in my solitude {Essence of Allah above His Throne, its control on all creatures and his defense on the servants who shared his servants rather than substance}
I saw my lord anywhere and keep it quiet and calm {you mere prejudice, actually Allah was in the sky, so by Allah through His word, Allah was the one who tells what creatures do not know}
I looked at the sun, I feel it in the air {it is a sign of His power, not Allah or Allah's Essence itself}
I listen to the voice crowing cock and machinery
Anywhere and anytime that there is only
God, just the eternal......spread over the universe really quiet and silent {far cry from the truth of such prejudice, the devil has lead you astray, Allah is not united with creation, separate from His creation}

The Khan's Devil

The Khan came from Bokhara town
To Hamza, santon of renown.

'My head is sick, my hands are weak;
Thy help, O holy man, I seek.'

In silence marking for a space
The Khan's red eyes and purple face,

Thick voice, and loose, uncertain tread,
'Thou hast a devil!' Hamza said.

'Allah forbid!' exclaimed the Khan.
Rid me of him at once, O man!'

'Nay,' Hamza said, 'no spell of mine
Can slay that cursed thing of thine.

'Leave feast and wine, go forth and drink
Water of healing on the brink

'Where clear and cold from mountain snows,
The Nahr el Zeben downward flows.

'Six moons remain, then come to me;
May Allah's pity go with thee!'

Awestruck, from feast and wine the Khan
Went forth where Nahr el Zeben ran.

Roots were his food, the desert dust
His bed, the water quenched his thirst;

And when the sixth moon's scimetar
Curved sharp above the evening star,

He sought again the santon's door,
Not weak and trembling as before,

But strong of limb and clear of brain;
'Behold,' he said, 'the fiend is slain.'

'Nay,' Hamza answered, 'starved and drowned,
The curst one lies in death-like swound.

'But evil breaks the strongest gyves,
And jins like him have charmed lives.

'One beaker of the juice of grape
May call him up in living shape.

Shes A Liar

Written by gerry beckley, 1976
Found on hideaway.
Caroline is falling in and out of love
Tryn to get those things that shes been thinkin of
She cant be what she wants to be
Though she never really tries
Shes a liar
Shes a liar
But I might try her tonight
And if things go right
Caroline is calling everyone in town
First she calls them friends and then she puts them down
She cant be what she wants to be
Though she never really tries
Shes a liar
Shes a liar
But I might try her tonight
And if things go right
She cant be what she wants to be
Though she never really tries
Shes a liar
Shes a liar
But I might try her tonight
And if things go right
Wo, shes a liar (shes a liar)
Shes a liar (shes a liar)
Shes a liar (shes a liar)
Shes a liar (shes a liar)
Shes a liar (shes a liar)

Fears of a teenage mafioso

Fear of love,
Fear of pain,
Fear of the unforgiving cane,
Fear of lies,
Fear of sighs,
Fear of those distraught eyes,
Fear for the unknown,
Fear for the known,
Fear of everything combined,
Fear is what makes me blind,
Fear is what makes me think,
and act in blind accordance,
Hindering the world around me,
Hence, My Fear of myself
Fear is when you run away,
Fear is when you’re scared to love someone,
Fear is when the sky turns grey,
Fear of confusion,
Fear is like a dark blue ocean,
Fear won’t let me escape
Fear mocks me, watching
Fear taunts me, waiting
Fear of losing,
Fear you cannot see,
Fear dealt upon thee.
Fear of darkness and death,
Fear of a dead comrade,
Fear of a gun being cocked,
Fear of being endlessly stalked,
Fear of time,
Fear of all the crime,
Fear of the undesirable truth,
Fear for the good.
Fear for the sake of life,
Fear of the neighbors next door,
Fear of the secretive man in the subway,
Fear of the revolutionary uproar,
Fear is to not rejoice your living,
Fear for the sake of your life,
But to fear is to forsake it.
Fear is to have no hope in life,
Fear of the fear of fear,
We need no reason to fear,
For fear has no reason for itself.
I guess life is just like that,
To fear for no reason,
For to fear is not to reason,
But to reason is to fear.
To fear for the sake of fear,
Is fear for fear,

Liar

Say it if you want to and say it if you will
But if you dont say what you are thinkin
No, I wont take too kindly to it.
And all I want is something special,
And you cant give it to me,
And all you do is lie to me,
cause youre a liar, liar, liar.
I will run, I will fight,
I will take you through the night lie, lie, liar,
I will run, I will fight,
I will take you through the night lie, lie, liar...
Say it if you want to,
And say it if you choose
But if you dont say what you are thinkin
No I wont take too kindly to it
When all I want is something different
And you couldt give it to me
And all you do is lie to me
So youre a liar, liar, liar.
I will run, I will fight,
I will take you through the night lie, lie, liar,
I will run, I will fight,
I will take you through the night lie, lie, liar...
Ill fight you, Ill fight you
Im fighing you
Liar, liar, liar

Tom Zart's 52 Best Of The Rest America At War Poems

SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF WORLD WAR III

The White House
Washington
Tom Zart's Poems

March 16,2007
Ms. Lillian Cauldwell
President and Chief Executive Officer
Passionate Internet Voices Radio
Ann Arbor Michigan

Dear Lillian:
Number 41 passed on the CDs from Tom Zart. Thank you for thinking of me. I am thankful for your efforts to honor our brave military personnel and their families. America owes these courageous men and women a debt of gratitude, and I am honored to be the commander in chief of the greatest force for freedom in the history of the world.
Best Wishes.

Sincerely,

George W. Bush

SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF WORLD WAR III

Our sons and daughters serve in harm's way
To defend our way of life.
Some are students, some grandparents
Many a husband or wife.

They face great odds without complaint
Gambling life and limb for little pay.
So far away from all they love
Fight our soldiers for whom we pray.

The plotters and planners of America's doom
Pledge to murder and maim all they can.
From early childhood they are taught
To kill is to become a man.

They exploit their young as weapons of choice
Teaching in heaven, virgins will await.
Destroying lives along with their own
To learn of their falsehoods too late.

The fearful cry we must submit
And find a way to soothe them.
Where defenders worry if we stand down
The future for America is grim.

VII. Pompilia

I am just seventeen years and five months old,
And, if I lived one day more, three full weeks;
'T is writ so in the church's register,
Lorenzo in Lucina, all my names
At length, so many names for one poor child,
—Francesca Camilla Vittoria Angela
Pompilia Comparini,—laughable!
Also 't is writ that I was married there
Four years ago: and they will add, I hope,
When they insert my death, a word or two,—
Omitting all about the mode of death,—
This, in its place, this which one cares to know,
That I had been a mother of a son
Exactly two weeks. It will be through grace
O' the Curate, not through any claim I have;
Because the boy was born at, so baptized
Close to, the Villa, in the proper church:
A pretty church, I say no word against,
Yet stranger-like,—while this Lorenzo seems
My own particular place, I always say.
I used to wonder, when I stood scarce high
As the bed here, what the marble lion meant,
With half his body rushing from the wall,
Eating the figure of a prostrate man—
(To the right, it is, of entry by the door)
An ominous sign to one baptized like me,
Married, and to be buried there, I hope.
And they should add, to have my life complete,
He is a boy and Gaetan by name—
Gaetano, for a reason,—if the friar
Don Celestine will ask this grace for me
Of Curate Ottoboni: he it was
Baptized me: he remembers my whole life
As I do his grey hair.

All these few things
I know are true,—will you remember them?
Because time flies. The surgeon cared for me,
To count my wounds,—twenty-two dagger-wounds,
Five deadly, but I do not suffer much—
Or too much pain,—and am to die to-night.

Oh how good God is that my babe was born,
—Better than born, baptized and hid away
Before this happened, safe from being hurt!
That had been sin God could not well forgive:
He was too young to smile and save himself.
When they took two days after he was born,
My babe away from me to be baptized
And hidden awhile, for fear his foe should find,—

Oh! He's Nothing But A Soldier

'Oh! he's nothing but a soldier,'
But he's coming here tonight,
For I saw him pass this morning,
With his uniform so bright.
He was coming in from picket,
Whilst he sung a sweet refrain,
And he kissed his hand at some one
Peeping through the window pane.
Ah! he rode no dashing charger
'With a black and flowing mane,'
But his bayonet glistened brightly,
As the sun lit up the plain.
No waving plume or feather
Flashed its crimson in the light -
He belonged to the Light Infantry,
And he came to war- to fight.
'Oh! he's nothing but a soldier,'
His trust is in his sword -
To carve his way to glory,
Through the servile Yankee horde.
No pompous pageant heralds him,
No sycophants attend,
In his belt you see his body guard -
His tried and trusty friend.
'Oh! he's nothing but a soldier,'
And a stranger in our land;
His home is in the sunny South,
By the blue Gulf's golden strand.
But I wish I knew his people,
Some little of his past,
For father's always telling me
About our 'social caste'.
'Oh! he's nothing but a soldier,'
But his eyes are very fine,
And I sometimes think, when passing,
They are piercing into mine.
Pshaw! 'He's nothing but a soldier,'
Come, let me be discreet;
But really, for a soldier,
His toilet's very neat.
'Oh! he's nothing but a soldier,'
But last night he came to tea -
What an interesting soldier -
But then, he's rather free.
'Twas two o'clock this morning,
Before he took his leave;
He has my ring - the fellow!
But what's the use to grieve?
He has been again to see us,
The 'gentleman' in grey;

VI. Giuseppe Caponsacchi

Answer you, Sirs? Do I understand aright?
Have patience! In this sudden smoke from hell,—
So things disguise themselves,—I cannot see
My own hand held thus broad before my face
And know it again. Answer you? Then that means
Tell over twice what I, the first time, told
Six months ago: 't was here, I do believe,
Fronting you same three in this very room,
I stood and told you: yet now no one laughs,
Who then … nay, dear my lords, but laugh you did,
As good as laugh, what in a judge we style
Laughter—no levity, nothing indecorous, lords!
Only,—I think I apprehend the mood:
There was the blameless shrug, permissible smirk,
The pen's pretence at play with the pursed mouth,
The titter stifled in the hollow palm
Which rubbed the eyebrow and caressed the nose,
When I first told my tale: they meant, you know,
"The sly one, all this we are bound believe!
"Well, he can say no other than what he says.
"We have been young, too,—come, there's greater guilt!
"Let him but decently disembroil himself,
"Scramble from out the scrape nor move the mud,—
"We solid ones may risk a finger-stretch!
And now you sit as grave, stare as aghast
As if I were a phantom: now 't is—"Friend,
"Collect yourself!"—no laughing matter more—
"Counsel the Court in this extremity,
"Tell us again!"—tell that, for telling which,
I got the jocular piece of punishment,
Was sent to lounge a little in the place
Whence now of a sudden here you summon me
To take the intelligence from just—your lips!
You, Judge Tommati, who then tittered most,—
That she I helped eight months since to escape
Her husband, was retaken by the same,
Three days ago, if I have seized your sense,—
(I being disallowed to interfere,
Meddle or make in a matter none of mine,
For you and law were guardians quite enough
O' the innocent, without a pert priest's help)—
And that he has butchered her accordingly,
As she foretold and as myself believed,—
And, so foretelling and believing so,
We were punished, both of us, the merry way:
Therefore, tell once again the tale! For what?
Pompilia is only dying while I speak!
Why does the mirth hang fire and miss the smile?
My masters, there's an old book, you should con
For strange adventures, applicable yet,

Our God is a God of mercy and of grace. (Gerald Albright's Kicking it up #6)

God, I just do not understand why
You treat me so good everyday.
In spite of all of my sins and all of my mistakes,
You are still good to me.
Yes, you are; my God really is.

My God is so wonderful.
He has provided for all of my needs.
He created the sun to shine brightly everyday.
God has supplied the very air that I breathe.
Yes, He does.

My God is so good to me each day.
He has provided for all of my needs.
God sends out the cooling invisible breeze.
He produced all of the food that I eat.
Yes he does; now help me say it.

Our God is a God of mercy.
He truly deserves all of our praise.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
O’ Yes, I know that our God is.

Our God is a God of mercy.
He wakes us up every single day.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
O’ Yes, I know that our God is.

My God is so wonderful.
He provides me with His grace each day.
All I need to do is confess my sins to Him,
He has promised to forgive every one.
Yes, He does.
All that God has ask me to do
Is give to Him all of my praise every day.
By the life that I have chosen to live
I must show the world that my God is.
Now open your mouth and help me praise Him.

Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
