Predestination Takes Its Course
I preside in this state
Of utter speechless
What happened to us?
Was it just not our fate?
You were a beloved icon
A golden statue in my view
Alas, it wasn’t what it seemed
I guess it was just a debut
Out of a void you shifted
There was someone else, you claimed
How could this ever be?
Was I to be blamed?
Now I preside in this state
All what was is now gone
All that could have been is now done
I guess it just wasn’t our fate
