Journey Again

At times in our journey
We reach place with lot of greenery
Lovely place to stay for long
Good people to be with for life

But when seasons change
And wind changes its direction
We need to set out on our journey again
To a journey that never concludes

As I stand looking as far as I could see in the direction of road ahead
Series of events roll down my memory lane
And tears dropp from my eyes
And a question arises is it all worth the challenges ahead?

But in the end you need to win over your emotions
Win over your doubts
And continue the journey again
In the direction of Sun

As you pursue the journey again guarding against all odds
Putting all your learning in practice
Ensuring mistakes not repeated
Dreams are achieved

But you know that life has in store new lessons to teach you.
And new places to take you.
So loosen your belts; set your wings far & wide
And let the winds take you to places

Ask 2: Take your place in the tapestry of life.

It only happens once, play your part, as best you can
Who can ask anymore of you than that you tried, failed still
its no surprise to me that they would always hold us down.

Get your head out of the clouds, you’d hear them say,
Then running circles shadow play.

A return to the elemental, a state of calm,
Slip in lucid tides, hide away behind a wave of passion,
Ride the wheel, turn back the tides,
Tell me how you feel is this reality for you,
I don’t know what it is no more.

Open up the doors of perception, clear the mind of impurities,
Drift away in placid calms, I wont do you know harm babe,
It’s beyond me to do so to think like a genius, to act like a fool.

Turn it all in, back again, another point of view
Another face you thought you knew.
Tell me, tell me true, is it me you love babe or is it you.

Sometimes when I look at you, I feel your holding back a flood of tears.
Building me up to break me down after all these years.
Leaving me wondering, how could they do it to me?
Why would they do it to me?

Take your place in the tapestry of life.
Within you lies eternal youth,
What more proof could you need
Than the hedonism, that you feed
Close your eyes, just slip outside the box.

Take a walk, we’ll talk a while
Sit, lay back with a smile.

It wasn’t much man, but it came on strong.

Tranquil skies, calmer tides
Nothing left to hide.

One more chance to re arrange, to once more dance the night a flame.

Taking a Walk on Memory Lane

Taking a walk on memory lane
isn’t all that gray.
Taking a walk on memory lane
I see the sunrays.

Taking a walk on memory lane
isn’t all full of tears.
Taking a walk on memory lane
I have no fear.

Taking a walk on memory lane
not a dropp of rain in sight.
Taking a walk on memory lane
Every thing is alright.

Taking a walk on memory lane
is where I want you to come along.
Taking a walk on memory lane
is where we belong all lifelong.

Memory Lane

This is the place
You end up when
You lose the chase
Where you're dragged against your will
From a basement on the hill
And all anybody knows is
You're not like them
They kick you in the head
And send you back to bed
Isolation pulled you past a tunnel to a
Bright world where you can make a place to stay
But everybody's scared of this place
They're staying away
Your little house on memory lane
The mayor's name is fear
His force patrols the pier
From a mountain of cliche
That advances everyday
The doctor spoke of cloud
He rained out loud
You'll keep the doors and windows shut
And swear
You'll never show a soul again
But isolation pushes you til every muscle aches
Down the only road it ever takes
But everybody's scared of this place
They're staying away
Your little house on memory lane
If it's your decision
To be open about yourself
Be careful or else
Be careful or else
I'm comfortable apart
It's all written on my chart
That I take what's given to me
Most cooperatively
I do what people say
And lie in bed all day
Absolutely horrified
I hope you're satisfied
Isolation pushes past self-hatred, guilt, and shame
To a place where sufferings just a game
But everybody's scared of this place
They're staying away
Your little house on memory lane
Your little house on memory lane

The Master of the Dance

A chant to which it is intended a group of children shall dance and improvise pantomime led by their dancing-teacher.

I

A master deep-eyed
Ere his manhood was ripe,
He sang like a thrush,
He could play any pipe.
So dull in the school
That he scarcely could spell,
He read but a bit,
And he figured not well.
A bare-footed fool,
Shod only with grace;
Long hair streaming down
Round a wind-hardened face;
He smiled like a girl,
Or like clear winter skies,
A virginal light
Making stars of his eyes.
In swiftness and poise,
A proud child of the deer,
A white fawn he was,
Yet a fwn without fear.
No youth thought him vain,
Or made mock of his hair,
Or laughed when his ways
Were most curiously fair.
A mastiff at fight,
He could strike to the earth
The envious one
Who would challenge his worth.
However we bowed
To the schoolmaster mild,
Our spirits went out
To the fawn-looted child.
His beckoning led
Our troop to the brush.
We found nothing there
But a wind and a hush.
He sat by a stone
And he looked on the ground,
As if in the weeds
There was something profound.
His pipe seemed to neigh,
Then to bleat like a sheep,
Then sound like a stream
Or a waterfall deep.
It whispered strange tales,
Human words it spoke not.
Told fair things to come,
And our marvellous lot
If now with fawn-steps
Unshod we advanced
To the midst of the grove
And in reverence danced.
We obeyed as he piped
Soft grass to young feet,
Was a medicine mighty,
A remedy meet.
Our thin blood awoke,
It grew dizzy and wild,
Though scarcely a word
Moved the lips of a child.
Our dance gave allegiance,
It set us apart,
We tripped a strange measure,
Uplifted of heart.

II

We thought to be proud
Of our fawn everywhere.
We could hardly see how
Simple books were a care.
No rule of the school
This strange student could tame.
He was banished one day,
While we quivered with shame.
He piped back our love
On a moon-silvered night,
Enticed us once more
To the place of delight.
A greeting he sang
And it made our blood beat,
It tramped upon custom
And mocked at defeat.
He builded a fire
And we tripped in a ring,
The embers our books
And the fawn our good king.
And now we approached
All the mysteries rare
That shadowed his eyelids
And blew through his hair.
That spell now was peace
The deep strength of the trees,
The children of nature
We clambered her knees.
Our breath and our moods
Were in tune with her own,
Tremendous her presence,
Eternal her throne.
The ostracized child
Our white foreheads kissed,
Our bodies and souls
Became lighter than mist.
Sweet dresses like snow
Our small lady-loves wore,
Like moonlight the thoughts
That our bosoms upbore.
Like a lily the touch
Of each cold little hand.
The loves of the stars
We could now understand.
O quivering air!
O the crystalline night!
O pauses of awe
And the faces swan-white!
O ferns in the dusk!
O forest-shrined hour!
O earth that sent upward
The thrill and the power,
To lift us like leaves,
A delirious whirl,
The masterful boy
And the delicate girl!
What child that strange night-time
Can ever forget?
His fealty due
And his infinite debt
To the folly divine,
To the exquisite rule
Of the perilous master,
The fawn-looted fool?

III

Now soldiers we seem,
And night brings a new thing,
A terrible ire,
As of thunder awing.
A warrior power,
That old chivalry stirred,
When knights took up arms,
As the maidens gave word.
THE END OF OUR WAR,
WILL BE GLORY UNTOLD.
WHEN THE TOWN LIKE A GREAT
BUDDING ROSE SHALL UNFOLD!
Near, nearer that war,
And that ecstasy comes,
We hear the trees beating
Invisible drums.
The fields of the night
Are starlit above,
Our girls are white torches
Of conquest and love.
No nerve without will,
And no breast without breath,
We whirl with the planets
That never know death!

Travelling down memory lane

Traveling down memory lane
is not all black 'n white.
Traveling down memory lane
is not all lacking light.

Traveling down memory lane
is not eye filled with tears.
Traveling down memory lane
brings fresh and soothing air.

Traveling down memory lane
is love & pain, fun with friends.
Traveling down memory lane
is full of curves and bends.

Traveling down memory lane
is a test of time and mind
Traveling down memory lane
is a joy of it's kind.

Deep Down The Memory Lane

Deep down the memory lane
I still think of you
Though you may have forgotten me
Yet I think of you

I know there had been promises unkept
and many wishes unfulfilled
Yet deep down the memory lane
I still think of you

There had been lot of fightings
and lot of faults in me
They really have stiffled you
and made u cry to agony

I know it was my weakness
that made you go away
I was the only reason
that made ur love deplete

I have tried to hate u
I have tried to damn
Yet deep down the memory lane
I still think of you!

Everything Is Everything

Weve got a lot of questions
Weve got a lot to learn
So tired of solving problems
Too many bridges burned
We see it all so clearly and still we close our eyes
Why should we understand it?
What good is knowing why?
I know that life can be filled with these changes
I know theres times when it feels like Im falling
I know something in my life will change again
Now Ive got a lot of questions
Ive got a lot to learn
Im tired of solving problems
Too many bridges burned
I cant change whats in the past
I want to move ahead
I want to understand it
Give me the reason why
Im tired of running these circles in my life
Ive seen the future it changes before my eyes
And I know that there is something thats going to change in my life
I know my life will change again

A Walk On Memory Lane

To me a walk on memory lane can be a thing of joy
To visit my uncle Dan and aunty Mary in their home in Lisnaboy
I could call there at anytime and a welcome i would find
The past it seems to stay with us in the memory of the mind,
The little brown lark carolled as upwards he did fly
Above the old coarse meadow on an evening in July,
I am on a walk on memory lane and how lovely to hear and see
The red breasted robin singing on branch of an alder tree
It all seems very real to me not a vision in a dream
The white breasted dipper singing in the rapids of the stream
On it's way to the river babbling as it does flow
Through meadows and through rushy fields and by many a hedgerow
I walk the fields of Lisnaboy when I'm on memory lane
And i visit Dan and Mary it is like old times again.

Old memory lane

Sometimes I slipped to old memory lane,
Take me to far off places without sitting in plane,
Happy and old days definitely to be counted,
Let there be so much worry in mind amounted,

I see her almost there when look at the sky?
Take me back to old days I don’t know why?
I had asked her from silver moon,
She came on earth to join me soon,

“What would you prefer tea, coffee or milk?
She was almost there by wearing sari silk,
Graceful eyes with welcome and smile on face,
Was I on hunt or for partner in race?

She was perfect as I had imagined,
Eyes danced as if were wined
But she caught me and I thought may be fined,
If said not then life will be ruined,

All went well with deciding to knot,
proposal through with no fear ofnot
Remained with me for period so long,
She was at her best and never did wrong,

Life with wife gave me delight,
Nothing unusual and path right,
Nothing is missing and going out of sight,
Reminds me of old when look up at light

Taking You Down Memory Lane

.
It is time to take you down memory lane
With the hit t. v. series “Spanky and our gang”.
They were on for many a year
They gave us laughter and a few tears.

There was Spanky, alfalfa, buckwheat
Froggy and Darlene, and we can’t forget
The teacher Mrs. Crabtree.

Alfalfa with his one strand of greased up hair
Standing straight up - two pounds of grease
And still not enough.

Spanky was the leader- he was short and round
Any problems, he had to be found.
Buckwheat was the daring young guy
He would do anything for a ride.

Then there was Froggy - his name says it all
Like a frog his voice did fall
Darlene with her shoulder length hair
And the voice of an angel from above
Had theour gang” all in love.

OH! The t. v. series that we used to watch
Like “ I love Lucy” andthe honeymooners”
Andour hit tunes” with all the crooners.

What about “ Laurel and Hardy” and
“Abbott and Costello”
The two most comical fellows.

This is the trip down memory lane
And you know it’ll never be the same.

Memory Lane

People ask me What you doin' son
You're gonna drive yourself insane
You'll never find the sunshine
When you're followin' the rain
Seems like I'd take a new road
After all these years
But I wind up on the same old trail of tears

I'm still walkin' down Memory Lane
'Cuz I know I'll be runnin' into you
Reminiscin' through the pain
Recallin' things that we used to do
I'm lookin' up an old flame
Down on Heartbreak Avenue
I'm still walkin' down Memory Lane
'Cuz I know I'll be runnin'into you

I hate the way I loved you
But my mind keeps goin' back
My train of thought just won't get off
That same old worn out track
It's an every night occasion me and your memory meet
On that endless lonely street of broken dreams

I'm still walkin' down Memory Lane
'Cuz I know I'll be runnin' into you
Reminiscin' through the pain
Recallin' things that we used to do
I'm lookin' up an old flame
Down on Heartbreak Avenue
I'm still walkin' down Memory Lane
'Cuz I know I'll be runnin'/Into you

I'm still walkin' down Memory Lane
Cuz I know I'll be runnin' into you
Reminiscin' through the pain
Recallin' things that we used to do
I'm lookin' up an old flame
Down on Heartbreak Avenue
I'm still walkin' down Memory Lane
'Cuz I know I'll be runnin'/Into you

Here she comes now
I'm still walkin'
Down Memory Lane
I'm still walkin'
Down Memory Lane
I'm still walkin'
Down Memory Lane

Down Memory Lane

footprints on the sand of time
dawn yawning waiting for the sun
cicadas are mute no wings to fly
back on yestertimes

rickety bike
complaining how the worn out shoe
kicked his butt and kicked his ass
back on faded yesterdays

rain so cold
breathlessly pouring down
ached hearts and wounded souls
waylaid on damp ground

down down down on memory lane
nobody cares by now
that had just begone
memories out of time

Memory Lane

Do you ever hear a haunting refrain,
Which takes you back to that moment again,
When memories flow and scenes are set,
And you, once more, relive the time you met.
How perfect, were those days back then,
Those days of romance, and the instant, when
Love hit you with a painful jolt,
And exquisite pain, you didn't want to halt,
And playing along was a haunting refrain,
So let it now take you, down memory lane.

Strolling On The Memory Lane

oh, i went to memory lane
too,

i've seen much already.

i come back to what i am
and what i have become,
i hold on to my vision,
my dreams

i write about hope, and
imagine

my future, another 20 years,
another 30 years more,

i pray,

the memory lane is black and white
and then

it faded like a denim
a murky river where i lift my feet
up above the water

and as i move towards the shore,

i decided, i thought,

the memory lane serves me
no more

it was short, and it will not be
repeated

i wake up, and then i forget.

Strolling down memory lane

Strolling down memory lane
Where the colors begin to fade.
Strolling down memory lane
Is where I want you to come along.

Strolling down memory lane
is a test of time and mind.
Strolling down memory lane
I won’t be afraid.

Strolling down memory lane
Is not lacking in color.
Strolling down memory lane
Is not a big bummer.

Strolling down memory lane
Not a storm in sight
Strolling down memory lane
is joy without bite.

A memory that I have created in my mind,
Stands the test of time.
Memories are like dream, a reflection of the past.
My memories can kiss my
Ask me no questions I will tell you no lies.

A Little Trip Down Memory Lane

I found a box filled with notebooks
each filled with my writings of yesterdays.
Writings that I had forgotten about
across the span of time.
They are of no great importance,
but within their contents,
I wonder if I will find some missing gems
something, I may have written down
and forgot about many years ago.
I’m going to have to go through each one.
It will be like returning to the past
without the baggage it held.
A little trip down memory lane
when dreams were active then.
I shall take my time and linger
trying to remember what I was doing
when I wrote whatever is there.

A Stroll Down Memory Lane

I was at home
When I saw an old shirt
Thought I got rid of all of you
Now your presense rebirths
I smell your aftershave
I smell your cologne
Your'e still lingering
Though this is not your home
Just that flashback
Makes me want you back
Makes me want a future
Makes me hate the past
Then I look around
And remind myself that I'm married
Since we broke up
My life has still carried
I see new shirts
new fragrance of colognes
My Husband walks in
Reminds me It's OUR home...
That's right a husband
Something you couldn't commit to be
That's right a good man
one who loves me for me
Thats right someone who lives with me
Not those occasional night stayings
A stroll down memory lane
Now I'm done dwelling...

Home Improvement

The walls that surround us
Are slowly crumblin' down
But the heart of this foundation
Is still on solid ground
Just needs some renovation and a lot of TLC
And a long night of lovin' is all that we both need
Chorus:
So roll the shades down
Lock the doors up tight
Turn on the code-a-phone
If the door bell rings
We'll just stay in bed and pretend nobody's home
Let the neighbors think we moved away
Or forgot to pay the rent
There ain't nothing wrong with this old house
It just needs a little home improvement
Every day we go our separate ways
To make our dreams come true
But it ain't worth the sacrifice
If we're giving up me and you
We gotta hold on tighter than tight
To the ties that make us strong
And get back to the roots
That made this house a home
Repeat Chorus Twice
