Hotel Room

Hotel room
In London

in my hotel room,
how sad, how sad I am here.
where is my best lover?

I put my hands on my head,
I try to set in my bed,
I do not know what words to say.

I try to catch my breath,
My lungs does not obey,
How sad I am here.

Outside there is a rain,
I hear a crossing train.
the pain hits me as hammer.

I dream to see you soon,
I dream about my moon,
How nice if you are here.

How fool I am my love.
to be far from beautiful love,
Alone, and sad, here.

What Might She Say

when i left her i left no note
she was in that state of suspension what to really believe
there were words on the table but they were vague
she had kiss marks but they were confused
and she had reasons to be sad at first
then she was lost and then she said she was angry
to the laziness of time to its withholding of what could have been
easily said and should have been
well said and well meant

life was not easy and life need not be clear
to be blunt and be understood with so much pain
it is better hanging
like a leaf waiting for the gracious wind to pluck it off
and fall without so much knowing as though it was merely riding
on its puff and huff and then dry, and rot and be gone

we shall meet again when our minds are calm and strong
when our hearts are toughened by extant sorrows
when our faces have thickened when our smiles are smoothed
i have already prepared my self with what words to say
for 25 years or more that i too have suffered
and what she might say i have rehearsed my ears what to hear
and be not guilty and be not pained anymore

life is easier now i have enough space for guilt
a stronger heart to carry them all and then leave
and move on with my life as though nothing really happened

What If I Say Goodbye

What if I say I love you
Would it mean as much as it used to
Could it help the hurt that were putting us through
What if I said goodbye
What if tomorrow you wake up
And Im not around what you break up
Would you take one towards me to make up
What if I said goodbye
What would you do if I did what I should have done long ago
Is there someone youd turn to as soon as I left
Someone you already know
What if I say I love you
Would you want to make up like I do
Could we possibly salvage the dreams we knew
What if I said goodbye
What would you do if I did what I should have done long ago
Is there someone youd turn to as soon as I left
Someone you already know
What if I say I love you
Would it mean as much as used to
Could it help the hurt that were putting us through
What if I said goodbye

Far From Over

well this life's stretched out before me
the highway shimmering with stars
the knowing glances of the runaways
that never made it this far
i cant believe she said that we can work it out
i thought that we were near the end
gone are the days
all the trouble and the doubt
this is far from over my friend
my lover's name is music
well she's held my heart so long
tethered and pulling at the chains of disregard
what if all of this is wrong
i cant believe she said that we can work it out
i thought that we were near the end
gone are the days
all the trouble and the doubt
this is far from over my friend
and we throw away our prayers up skyward
hoping anyone will hear
from storyville to broadway
this soul won't disappear
well i heard that boy in memphis
playing memories and dreams
the ghosts of miracles played upon the stage
and then vanishing like steam
i cant believe she said that we can work it out
i thought that we were near the end
gone are the days
all the trouble and the doubt
this is far from over my friend

Far From The Heavens

I see the pain in your eyes,
i see their hatred in disguise.
I can feel the pain hidden in your pride,
and i can see nobody by your side.
I can see your face been masked with fears,
and i can taste the salty solution of your tears.
I can feel the anguish running in your vains,
and i can hear your cry through your pains.
I can see your terror in your past,
and i can see your smile that didn't get to last.
I can see the path where you failed,
and i can see the truth and why they lied.
I can see the reason why you went astray,
and i can see your terrors all in array.
I can see your anger each time you cry,
and i can feel your faustration each time it didn't dry.
I can feel all what you can feel,
that feeling of an aching kneel.
I can gather the pieces of your broken heart,
and your hopes that has been torn apart.
I feel your miseries that hunted you through the night,
and i can see why it took away your light.
I can see why you've been blinded by lust,
and why it feels so cold like frost.
I can see the ageing in your age,
and i can feel the range in your rage.
I can understand why you beared all these crosses alone,
even when you have someone that will never leave you all alone.
I can see you are on a mission,
on the lonely road of destruction.
I can see your future in the hand of fate,
and why it makes you irate.
I can see your face down in shame,
when you got no one to blame.
I can see your soul sinking in sin,
where all what it can hear is a loud din.
For every thing happening today,
you don't know where to run or stay.
No matter how hard you try you can't run away from your tomorrow,
cos it looks as good as a broken mirrow.

You Are Beautiful To Me

Cant tell you how many times Ive wanted to hold you
Cant tell you how many dreams how many fantasies
As I count down the hours and I count down the seconds
Will I be able to say will I be able to say
You are beautiful to me
You are sexual to me
Still a mystery
You are woman
Sometimes I wonder if this love will ever find expression
Does a seed in winters arms know of springs intention
Two spirits dancing through a body conversation
Is this light years away will I be able to say
You are beautiful to me
You are sexual to me
Still a mystery
You are woman

I'M a FOOL 4 falling in love with you...

I'M a FOOL 4 falling in love with you...

I thought you would fall in love with me
I guess it was just a dream another crazy dream about you
I thought I would be you're everything
I guess I was wrong once again

I've changed since the last time we talked
I've cried a thousand tears
and its all from you
you don't know it but it is

i loved you i still cant let go of you
you were my everything
everything i do i think about you
no matter where i am who i am with
i loved you
like a fairy tale but in my own way
i feel stupid for falling in love with you
after all i hardly know you
i guess it was just a stupid daydream
a Cinderella story that never came true
You will always be in my heart and my soul
The memory of you still haunts me........
and I will always love you till the end

I love you - of course i do
but what i am wondering is.....
What am i to you?

I'M a FOOL 4 falling in love with you...

At Late Night

'Where are you going at late night? '
A friend asked to his son in dead light
'Just o see his condition and be right back'
'But don't forget to take helmet when on bike'

'Alright papa, worry not as the place is near by'
'I shall remember your advice and certainly try'
Those were the last words heard when he sped away
I too left the friend as preferred not to stay

Bad luck would have a day and he did not return
He had struck road divider and dashed to ground in turn
He lost life instantly and could not be informed
All of suddenly the gloom had cast and family was stormed

Had he listened to the advice of father and put helmet?
Probably he could have not mate the ill fate
But alas! We are guided by Almighty's wish
Life can be ended any time and finished

In our day to day life some times we remain unconcerned
Take no safety precaution and force family members to bother
They remain worried till you come back safely
The same is repeated several times and adhered to lately

Even though it is not in our hand but can certainly avoid
Death may take over anytime when it has severely laid
We watch helplessly at the tragic demise of member
At that time we lament not to have obeyed the advice and remember

Let us not be that much dependant on hear say stories
But certainly it leads to some unexpected losses and worries
If we remain cautious then at least we may have some satisfaction
Else we may repent whole life not to have taken into account any indication

Always think about life and death as inseparable part
Any living thing that is on earth has to depart
No one here is immortal and has few days, months to his credit
If you are lucky to find another day then love it and greet

What You Are Doing

You got to know what you are doing with my life on this love,
And like the muse of your so exposed to many;
But my love is guided by the principles of nature,
And like the songs of two lovers.

Yes this is a serious truth about myself,
And i surely need you on this love;
But try to know what you are doing with my life.

The World Is Moving And You Are Standing Still

THE WORLD IS MOVING AND YOU ARE STANDING STILL”

It’s still right, Dad,
After all the years,
The world is moving and I am standing still’
I feel them all going by
They are working and earning big sums
They are meeting with others in their field
And discussing and discussing -
They are being important and self- important in whatever they do-
And I am standing still
Still nowhere-
Only now so much older and far too late to really go anywhere
I am standing still-
They are going by-
They are getting places-
I am getting nowhere-
Just more and more of the same old hiding inside my own words-
They are going by and faster and farther than ever-
And I am still here trying to move and standing still
‘Standing still’ it now appears
All the way to the grave. ¬

A Poem For Elyssa

What will I see
appearing before me
when she types her heart
and her thoughts out for me
Will it be sweet,
Will it be majestic,
but even if it doesn't
it's still beautiful, you see

It's not your talent
that gives your poem beauty,
neither it's skill nor wits
that gives it the punchline hits...
but it's the reflection of who you are
on the blank paper I will see
that gives it its breathing life
the way it ought to be.

Perfection is not the answer
nor it is technique or book-bound knowledge,
but it is the embracing of who you are
and the harmony in the acceptance
between your self and your mirror...
for man is never perfect
- such is the true human nature
that God knew since Creation...

flawed, to its very core
yet beautiful at His own accord.
The beauty our Creator sees,
the beauty of all beauty:
That, is the beauty I know.

In My Reflection, You Are Not A Stranger

I saw your face
caught in my reflection
bending backwards and
contorting past the
gaping hands of the sun
because another month
was caught suspended
in the silver latticing
of our eternal ties

I saw your hands
pull the bell rope
and rang the alarm
that disturbs the shadows
of the unforgiving unloved
that dislimns the pageantry
of our terse lacings
still gnarled on the blue veins
of my fingers and wrists
snapping without a sound

I saw your cordial smile
in mine, because to hope
is to defy defeat
I washed away the grime
and pierced the veil
of the acquiescent night
mantling my sunken eyes
so I can bemuse myself
with your porcelains
and clatters of your chortles
slithering past my simpers
and grinning crooked teeth

I saw you in my statuesque
and monastic imposition
the bones shivering
cold, bitter and alone
in this September chill
because I want to see you
desperately, because
to be desperate is to love
the consequences of love

And like a feather plummeting
into the moon's parsimonious gravity
blissfully struck by the milky
phosphor of Luna's kiss
I flummoxed down into
the asylum of misery -
a black hole sucking everything
in the chamber of memories

And in this illusion:
you, me; trapped
in a single reflection
I succumb, like how a hand
slips inside a glove and
battle out the shivering

This pictures of hope,
this travesty of coaxing faith
leans on me like a sun
seething on my nape
inveigling the obsidian to repent
and soldering your names
across the lines of my palms
Because in my reflections
we are not strangers
and flustered timetables
flew above serendipity
of what used to be us
on my sanguine reveries.

The Lost Tram

I walked an unfamiliar street
And suddenly heard a raven's cry,
And the sound of a lute, and distant thunder,-
In front of me a tram was flying.

How I jumped onto its foot board,
Was a mystery to me,
Even in daylight it left behind
A fiery trail in the air.

It rushed like a dark, winged storm,
And was lost in the abyss of time...
Tram-driver, stop,
Stop the tram now.

Too late. We had already turned the corner,
We tore through a forest of palms,
Over the Neva, the Nile, the Seine
We thundered across three bridges.

And slipping by the window frame,
A poor old man threw us an inquisitive glance-
The very same old man, of course,
Who had died in Beirut a year ago.

Where am I? So languid and troubled
The beat of my heart responds:
'Do you see the station where you can buy
A ticket to the India of the soul?'

A sign...Blood-filled letters
Announce: 'Zelennaya,'-I know that here
Instead of cabbages and rutabagas
The heads of the dead are for sale.

In a red shirt, with a face like an udder,
The executioner cuts my head off, too,
It lies together with the others
Here, in a slippery box, at the very bottom.

And in a side street a board fence,
A house three windows wide, a gray lawn...
Tram-driver, stop,
Stop the tram now.

Mashenka, you lived here and sang,
You wove me, your betrothed, a carpet,
Where are your voice and body now,
Is it possible that you are dead?

How you groaned in your front chamber,
While I, in a powdered wig,
Went to introduce myself to the Empress
Never to see you again.

Now I understand: our freedom
Is only an indirect light from those times,
People and shadows stand at the entrance
To a zoological park of planets.

And a sudden, familiar, sweet wind blows,
A horseman's hand in an iron glove
And two hooves of his horse
Fly at me over the bridge.

That faithful stronghold of Orthodoxy,
Isaac's, is etched upon the sky,
There I will hold a service for Mashenka's health
And a requiem mass for myself.

And my heart goes on forever in gloom,
It is hard to breathe and painful to live...
Mashenka, I never would have dreamed
That such love and longing were possible.

Copperfield

Resuscitate your oscillated love towards me,
For i can't stop thinking about you;
And i am heavily encrusted with the heroic myth on this muse.

The early bird catches up the early train,
And like Jerry's last flight with the contemporary arts;
For my love is stronger than the environmental tides.

Copperfield,
My love doesn't sail slowly like you thought;
But it can also put the winds back unto your love,
Because you are now on the wings of my love!

Defenders and admirers,
I am in the sweet garden of your love;
But the food that we ate last night matters to me,
And i want you to resuscitate me with your love.

Only You

no one seems to stay around me
no one wants to be my friend
no one seems to care for me
only you
who love me this way
only you
who care for me
only you
who stay and fail with me
only you
who have mercy for me
oh my love one
why should i live without you
oh my dear
how can i make you see you are the only one i want

my love
please understand me
understand the way i love you
only you
i could see in my life
only you
i could think of
only you
i could give my breath away

please say that you love me the i do
please say that you feel the same
your heart belong to me
my heart belong to yours
oh my love
what else could i say to make you understand that
you are the only one that i want to kiss tonight
oh only you

You Remove

You remove 's' from dessert (desert)
Keep sand alone to insert
It may fly along with the wind
You may then certainly find

The faces may appear
And vanish suddenly in rear
Sand may create impression
To renew and feel the old relation

You were never alone
And not even today gone
You are as dear as past
Only it has failed to last

You may find the voice
When wind blows with promise
To take you on waves
Where no one dares

Look at the crowd
They may speak loud
To please your ears
And you may love to hear

Roses may smile
You may have blossom meanwhile
You are among known
Once they were your own

Send single ripple from heart
True one and felt as divine art
That may bind us together
An achievement as golden ‘feather'

The Other Side Of Me

Words & music: michael w. smith and wayne kirkpatrick
If they were to write about
The story of my life
They would have to mention you
With every page they'd write
There's another side to every story told
If i were the ocean
You would be the shore
And one without the other one
Would be needing something more
We are the shadow and the light
Chorus:
Always love me
(and) never leave me now
(and) now you are the other side of me
Always love me
(and) never leave me now
(and) now you are the other side of me
I have known the emptiness
Of feeling out of touch
And living life without you here
Would be living half as much
Cause i've a need that only you can fill
If love was mathematical
You'd understand the sum
To the heart's equation
Where one and one makes one
And lonely equals me minus you
Chorus

Battle Of Fog Wind And Sun

It’s a mysterious morning in the wood as the fogs settled in
Fog dances with the wind through the trees twirling
A hazy white blanket diffusing scattering the light
Everything looks so different tricking your sight
The sun rays pours down breaking through the trees canopy
Linear streaks of light highlighting objects we see
Mysterious fog plays with the light as things it conceals
So when you are only near objects magically reappear
Strange shaped shadows jump out from the teasing mist
And twigs and objects appear that at first you did miss
The gloomy cold fog tries hard to hide the light of the new day
But the darkness and mystery it brings is not there to stay
The wind helps the sun to blow the mist from our sight
And wind sun versus the fog start their regular teasing fight
As normal the fog slowly loses, thins to a light haze in the air
Going patchy with little dancing wisps here and there
The light and the wind always it wins afterall
But the fog would just quickly disappear from us all
But look closely he left a present from his newly departed mist
On foliage are water jewel droplets where it gently kissed

Tell It As It Is

The approachable love of a girl,
The notable acts of a woman,
The excellent choice made when a man is in love;
But, add it to your credit when you do turn around.

To catch the bull in its prime and to ride ti to victory!
But the difference is clear between boys and men;
And, to use the correct utensils at all times is like,
The very difference between girls and women.

Eat like agentleman when it comes for love,
And try to butter up to do your best! !
For, you will be truly thrilled like Romeo and Juliet;
However, be very unique always and learn from the truth.

Try to detect the scent of any unclean products!
For, the journey of a thousand mile starts from one;
So, float your boat when it comes for love,
And, read out the noted signs and follow the rules as well.

It needs time and wisdom finding your perfect match,
For, the sea of human difference is always around us;
But, to hunt a primate means to become one!
So, roll your boat always and become perfect in love.

Believe in yourself always,
For, to love is more deeper than it meets the eyes! !
And like a wet shirt from a wet love;
But, you need your safety belt always to protect you.

Life is full of stories and nobody is above reproach,
But, try to tell it like it is and show it like it is as well!
The, you will eat it like it is when,
You are already deep in the ocean of love.

Appraochable and notable facts to hit the hole in one!
But, do show that you care about yourself and your lover;
For, the end justifies the means! !
And, try to make the difference at all times.

It's all about the right flavour of sweet love,
So, tell it like it is with the red rose of love;
And like cooking and eating in style,
For, true love is all that is needed in this life.

Bathing and dancing in style! !
With the red rose at hand as a gift;
But, tell it like it is to gain your health always!
For, a journey of a thousand mile starts from one.

I Love The Way You Are

I love the way you are
The person you are inside,
A gentle shining star
With love that fills my pride,

The way you talk
The way you smile,
The way you walk
The way you beguile,

I will take you by the hand
To walk the path of life,
To build a home so grand
An' ask you be my wife.
