A Family

a family
like no one can see
a family
everyone wants to be

family love
comes from above
family love
is softer than a dove

family means a lot
life will never rot
family means a lot
u will sometimes get caught

a family loves you for you
and you love them very much to
a family means everything to you
without them u wouldn't know what to do

a family

The One That You Love

(graham russell)
Now the night has gone
Now the night has gone away...
Doesnt seem that long
We hardly had two words to say...
Hold me in your arms
For just another day
I promise this one will go slow
Oh...
We have the right to know
We have the right to know
Dont say the mornings come
Dont say the mornings come so soon...
Must we end this way
When so much here is hard to lose...
Love is everywhere
I know it is
Such moments as this
Are too few
Oh...
Its all up to you
Its all up to you...
Here I am
The one that you love
Askin for another day
Understand the one that you love
Loves you in so many ways
Ah...
Tell me we can stay
Tell me we can stay oh please...
They are the words to say
The only words I can believe...
Hold me in your arms
For just another day
I promise this one will go slow
Oh...
We have the right you know
We have the right you know
Here I am
The one that you love
Askin for another day
Understand the one that you love
Loves you in so many ways
Here I am
The one that you love
Askin for another day
Understand the one that you love
Loves you in so many ways
The night has gone
A part of yesterday
I dont know what to say...
I dont know what to say...
Here I am
The one that you love
Askin for another day
Understand
The one that you love
Loves you in so many ways...
Here I am
The one that you love
Askin for another day
Understand the one that you love
Loves you in so many ways
Here I am
The one that you love
Askin for another day
Understand the one that you love
Loves you in so many ways.........

When Love & Hate Collide

You could have a change of heart, if you would only change your mind
Instead of slamming down the phone girl, for the hundredth time
I got your number on my wall, but i ain't gonna make that call
When divided we stand baby, united we fall
Got the time got a chance gonna make it
Got my hands on your heart gonna take it
All i know i can't fight this flame
You could have a change of heart, if you would only change your mind
Cause i'm crazy 'bout you baby, time after time
Without you
One night alone
Is like a year without you baby
Do you have a heart of stone
Without you
Can't stop the hurt inside
When love and hate collide
I don't wanna fight no more, i don't know what we're fighting for
When we treat each other baby, like an act of war
I could tell a million lies and it would come as no surprise
When the truth is like a stranger, hits you right between the eyes
There's a time and a place and a reason
And i know i got a love to believe in
All i know got to win this time
You could have a change of heart, if you would only change your mind
Cause i'm crazy 'bout you baby...crazy...crazy
Without you
One night alone
Is like a year without you baby
Do you have a heart of stone
Without you
One night alone
Is like a year without you baby
If you have a heart at all
Without you
Can't stop the hurt inside
When love and hate collide

Horace, Epist. I, VII Imitation Of Horace To Lord Oxford

Harley, the nation's great support,
Returning home one day from court,
His mind with public cares possest,
All Europe's business in his breast,
Observed a parson near Whitehall,
Cheap'ning old authors on a stall.
The priest was pretty well in case,
And show'd some humour in his face;
Look'd with an easy, careless mien,
A perfect stranger to the spleen;
Of size that might a pulpit fill,
But more inclining to sit still.
My lord, (who, if a man may say't,
Loves mischief better than his meat),
Was now disposed to crack a jest
And bid friend Lewis go in quest.
(This Lewis was a cunning shaver,
And very much in Harley's favour)—
In quest who might this parson be,
What was his name, of what degree;
If possible, to learn his story,
And whether he were Whig or Tory.
Lewis his patron's humour knows;
Away upon his errand goes,
And quickly did the matter sift;
Found out that it was Doctor Swift,
A clergyman of special note
For shunning those of his own coat;
Which made his brethren of the gown
Take care betimes to run him down:
No libertine, nor over nice,
Addicted to no sort of vice;
Went where he pleas'd, said what he thought;
Not rich, but owed no man a groat;
In state opinions a la mode,
He hated Wharton like a toad;
Had given the faction many a wound,
And libell'd all the junto round;
Kept company with men of wit,
Who often father'd what he writ:
His works were hawk'd in ev'ry street,
But seldom rose above a sheet:
Of late, indeed, the paper-stamp
Did very much his genius cramp;
And, since he could not spend his fire,
He now intended to retire.
Said Harley, 'I desire to know
From his own mouth, if this be so:
Step to the doctor straight, and say,
I'd have him dine with me to-day.'
Swift seem'd to wonder what he meant,
Nor could believe my lord had sent;
So never offer'd once to stir,
But coldly said, 'Your servant, sir!'
'Does he refuse me?' Harley cry'd:
'He does; with insolence and pride.'
Some few days after, Harley spies
The doctor fasten'd by the eyes
At Charing-cross, among the rout,
Where painted monsters are hung out:
He pull'd the string, and stopt his coach,
Beck'ning the doctor to approach.
Swift, who could neither fly nor hide,
Came sneaking to the chariot side,
And offer'd many a lame excuse:
He never meant the least abuse—
'My lord—the honour you design'd—
Extremely proud—but I had dined—
I am sure I never should neglect—
No man alive has more respect'—
Well, I shall think of that no more,
If you'll be sure to come at four.'
The doctor now obeys the summons,
Likes both his company and commons;
Displays his talent, sits till ten;
Next day invited, comes again;
Soon grows domestic, seldom fails,
Either at morning or at meals;
Came early, and departed late;
In short, the gudgeon took the bait.
My lord would carry on the jest,
And down to Windsor takes his guest.
Swift much admires the place and air,
And longs to be a Canon there;
In summer round the Park to ride,
In winter—never to reside.
A Canon!—that's a place too mean:
No, doctor, you shall be a Dean;
Two dozen canons round your stall,
And you the tyrant o'er them all:
You need but cross the Irish seas,
To live in plenty, power, and ease.
Poor Swift departed, and, what's worse,
With borrow'd money in his purse,
Travels at least a hundred leagues,
And suffers numberless fatigues.
Suppose him now a dean complete,
Demurely lolling in his seat,
And silver verge, with decent pride,
Stuck underneath his cushion side.
Suppose him gone through all vexations,
Patents, instalments, abjurations,
First-fruits, and tenths, and chapter-treats;
Dues, payments, fees, demands, and cheats.
(The wicked laity's contriving
To hinder clergymen from thriving.)
Now all the doctor's money's spent,
His tenants wrong him in his rent,
The farmers spitefully combine,
Force him to take his tithes in kine,
And Parvisol discounts arrears
By bills, for taxes and repairs.
Poor Swift, with all his losses vex'd,
Not knowing where to turn him next,
Above a thousand pounds in debt,
Takes horse, and in a mighty fret
Rides day and night at such a rate,
He soon arrives at Harley's gate;
But was so dirty, pale, and thin,
Old Read would hardly let him in.
Said Harley, 'Welcome, rev'rend dean!
What makes your worship look so lean?
Why, sure you won't appear in town
In that old wig and rusty gown?
I doubt your heart is set on pelf
So much that you neglect yourself.
What! I suppose, now stocks are high,
You've some good purchase in your eye?
Or is your money out at use?'—
'Truce, good my lord, I beg a truce!'
The doctor in a passion cry'd,
'Your raillery is misapply'd;
Experience I have dearly bought;
You know I am not worth a groat:
But you resolved to have your jest,
And 'twas a folly to contest;
Then, since you now have done your worst,
Pray leave me where you found me first.'

The making of...

Trust me; I am a good man, but always like to wink,
With a heart of solid gun, hard to break and bend,
I love my children; Keep them close to my heart,
I love them, I adore them and I work for them.
Tell my drinking buddies, goodness of their studies,
Mostly they talk about politics, Philosophies and ended as tortoise,
Hiding their head in the stupor shell, eyes looking at the offing,
Of course, I love my wife,
She is pretty good and better at the rifle,
She could look through the darkness,
Of my guarded mind and deliberates me,
What I thought and what I had done,
Her nose is worse than the canine,
Could smell the details of my khakis,
Shirt, singlet and even the wallet,
Trust me I love her so much,
To the bottom of that gun,
I actually do not know, ,
What that makes me to fling,
Truly, breaking hearts,
Is not my choice of task,
She has claimed that I break her heart,
Children blasted that their hearts too,
My children behave like the strangers,
Live as the neighbors in my own house,
I look at the horizon to find out the answer,
What went wrong, when I am perfect?
What is not right when I exercise my right?
It is very cruel to live in this house,
Should I run away from the responsibilities?
Should I say sorry and mend the torn?
Should I stay and continue with my tactics?
Would I end up as my buddies, to go for the drinks after work?
Would I end up as the tortoise, to hide from realities?
would I end up in the bench to look at the buildings?

You Can't Bullshit A Woman If She Loves You

You can't bullshit a woman if she loves you
She'll feel right thru you and distort your heart
You can't bullshit a woman if she loves you
Because of all the lovin' just for starts

She'll make you sing the truth without detection
You'll find that you can't treat her less than fare
She's deep down to the bone
You'll never feel alone
She's more than a best friend
She's your's for life

You can't bullshit a woman if she loves you
Just her smile alone consumes your soul
You can't bullshit a woman if she loves you
She'll leave you feeling happy and consoled

In all the things you do without exception
You consider her first, last, and in between
so long as she can be
her true self she'll be free
She's the better part of me, she make's me whole
You can't bullshit a woman who love's you so

Composing A Poem For The One Who Loves You

how do you compose a poem for the one who
(pretends to love you?)

loves you and yet you feel nothing at all?

well, perhaps,
and i guess, there is no problem with the choice of words,
or images,

for in this case, what you will write is something that you do not really mean,
like an empty cup without hot water
and you just place it on the table and you wait,
since you only fill it with air,
and some sighs,

yet somehow how can you ever hurt?
like pretending also to love someone who pretends also
to love you?

it is all an imagination,
pretending that the water is hot when there is nothing
but the coldness of the
porcelain,
pretending that there is coffee, when there is nothing
to smell and taste,
when there is nothing so sweet as sugar
or as creamy as cream,

you write something so unreal,
it is bland, it is empty, it is sad.

No One Can Love You Better Than Me

Lead vocals: kiki dee, marti webb, gary howard, eric woolfson
I am the universal mother
The heart of the family
When you are born in your innocent world
You will depend on me
Mine are the arms to rock you
When youre scared of the dark of the night
But soft though the lips of a girl might be
No one can love you better than me
But somewhere in the dark there is a wall of silence
That hides the love away, that hides the love away
I am the universal father
The head of the family
When you imagine a man of the world
He will be just like me
I am the lord and master
My word is the royal decree
I stand by the side of the woman I love
No one can love her better than me
I am the universal son
The pride of the family
I shine like the stars in my mothers eyes
She can believe in me
I am the young pretender
With fire to bring to the fight
But strong as anothers arms may be
No one can love her better than me
But somewhere in the dark there is a wall of silence
And sometimes in the night there is a wall of silence
Dont take the love away, dont take the love away
No one can love you better than me
No one can love you better than me
No one can love you
No one can love you better than me

Why Hurt The One Who Loves You?

(orbison-dees)
If you really love me, and you say that you do
If youre thinking of me, like you know I think of you
Why hurt the one who loves you?
If you ever leave me, and you say that you will
Then why deceive me, is it just for a thrill?
Why hurt the one who loves you?
You hardly know Im around, and I need you more and more
I beg you please stay with me and you walk out the door
Why hurt the one who loves you?
Have you got nothing better to do?
Why hurt the one who loves you
When you know I dont want to hurt you?
When your new love leaves you, and you want me back again
When you really need me, and you want me for a friend
Ill walk away from you, and darling when I do
Youll wonder why, why
Why, why, why hurt the one who loves you?

Somebody Loves You!

They say somebody loves you,
No matter who you are
And loves you with a love so true
They wish upon a star.
They wish that they could tell you straight
Without a single fear,
With hopes that they could celebrate
This year and every year.

But some are shy, with words unsaid,
Locked up in hearts of gold.
Locked up like dreams inside the head,
Unspoken thus untold.
If only timid hearts grew brave
And chose to take a chance,
They'd not delay the gift God gave
That makes us sing and dance.

True love is famous for extremes
To catch us unawares.
True love exceeds our hopes and dreams
And all our noblest prayers.
Somebody loves you, tenderly,
With winsome prayers so nice.
In love for all eternity,
For you're their Paradise...

He Loves You

His love will conquer anger
His love defies all words
He hears all the prayers that are spoken
And all the prayers unheard

His love is unconditional
He loves you when your wrong
He loves you when you disobey
His love for you is strong

He loves you when you stumble
He loves you when you fall
He loves us so much more than words
He really loves us all

He loves you when you call His name
He loves you when you cry
He loves you when your down and out
For us He sent his Son to die

He loves you when you're laughing
He loves you when you smile
He loves it when you praise His name
He loves you, you're his child

His love is never ending
Until the end of time
And once you just embrace His love
Your life will be just fine

For He's got the best intentions
Look at The Son of Man
Be honored through the joy & pain
You're a big part of His plan.

Jesus Loves You

The Savior is waiting to enter your heart
Once he comes in he will never depart
He has life giving water to quench your thirst
And with his love you'll be immersed

He came to give you life more abundant and free
And that is why he went to the cross of Calvary
His shed blood was the perfect sacrifice
He has power to forgive sins because he paid the price

If you are thirsty then come to him now
And at the mercy seat humbly bow
He loves you so much and is the only way
Jesus is only a prayer away

Jesus is waiting with his arms open wide
He says 'Come unto me and with me abide'
He'll forgive any sin you've ever done
And wipe the slate clean as though there were none

He promises you a home in heaven where you'll never grow old
Where some day you'll be walking on streets of gold
His great salvation you can never lose
Whoever comes to him he will in never refuse

Arms Of The One Who Loves You

1 VERSE
I know you're going, I can't make you stay
I can only let you know I'll love you anyway
And if the road you take leads to heartbreak somewhere down the line
if someone ever hurts you or treats your heart unkind.....
CHORUS
You just run to the arms of the one who loves you
You just to these arms and these two arms will keep you warm
When rain has found your heart never fear I'm never far
You just run to the arms of the who loves you
Hmm, hmm, hmm
2 VERSE
I want you happy, I want the best for you
And if you have to leave to find your dream, I hope that dream comes true
But if the world you find brings you hard times, if someone makes you cry
I'll be there to hold you, I'll be standin' by
CHORUS
Oooohh, my love is strong enough you know
Strong enough to let you go
But I'll always hold you inside my heart
And if you should ever change your mind, you can come back anytime
And when you do(when you do) You (you just run)
CHORUS ( repeat 'till end

Nobody Loves You

Nobody loves you when you're down and out
Nobody sees you when you're on cloud nine
Everybody's hustlin' for a buck and a dime
I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine
I've been across to the other side
I've shown you everything, i got nothing to hide
And still you ask me do i love you, what it is, what it is
All i can tell you is it's all show biz
All i can tell you is it's all show biz
Nobody loves you when you're down and out
Nobody knows you when you're on cloud nine
Everybody's hustlin' for a buck and a dime
I'll scratch your back and you knife mine
I've been across the water now so many times
I've seen the one eyed witchdoctor leading the blind
And still you ask me do i love you, what you say, what you say
Everytime i put my finger on it, it slips away
Everytime i put my finger on it, it slips away
Well i get up in the morning and i'm looking in the mirror to see, ooo wee!
Then i'm lying in the darkness and i know i can't get to sleep, ooo wee!
Nobody loves you when you're old and grey
Nobody needs you when you're upside down
Everybody's hollerin' 'bout their own birthday
Everybody loves you when you're six foot in the ground

‘One-child-a-family’ Global Policy?

One child a family’ policy
Is good for nations peopled more;
But brings new problems in its wake,
That threatens their home’s happiness!

‘With accidents still mounting high,
And cancers increasingly found,
And none to nurse the growing child,
And none to tend to elderly! ’

Can families stop with single child?
The wise will not decide this way;
The foolish too will realize
That children more, add wealth to homes!

If that was what God intended,
Why gestation is ten months’ time?
Why look down upon every birth –
A miracle by God to man?

And killing unborn babes in womb,
To enforce such a policy
Would mean another blunder made,
And prove man’s heart works ruthlessly!

And if you be a super-mom,
And quintuplets, sextuplets come,
Will you murder the rest but one,
And stay ‘happy’ all through your life?

Have many children as you can;
God gives you freedom to decide;
God will provide your needs to rear;
But never kill the unborn child!

More children means more ‘love-filled’ homes;
Each child is precious gift from God;
Let marriage not mean only sex,
But procreation, just as well!
