An oyster's being
Inward inverted in shell shut as in self'
Tempest tossed, in ocean lost
Yet still lies, still in life
When storms subside to stillness.
Greater than the wonder of the deep
The wonder that holds it whole,
That blows breath to the real within-
Sheer revelation of its being
Made mother pearl, hole proof,
Quick to catch light when sun buried,
Moonlike reflects hidden light.
