Love Sonnet 53 I oft wonder if some cave girls have known,

I oft wonder if some cave girls have known,
How to enlist the moon in an affair,
If too, their thoughts, to fantasy have flown,
That is, before they would be dragged by hair;
And how their men must have squandered their nights,
To seek love mates, or food along the way,
Or then frolic in these new-found delights,
Or go shouting like animals that bray;
But more exciting is, once they bother,
To stop being mimics of not their kind,
Say, animals that greet one another,
To sniff up front, rather than from behind;
.....Sorry for these not so romantic swirls,
.....Whilst stuck between the moon and some cave girls.
