Me
I stand here before you,
Transfixed,
Transformed.
I've lived the life of a phoenix.
I was reborn from my own ashes
Only to look back and laugh at what
burned me.
I am here
Understanding myself as never before
Knowing, fully, who I am.
Do you know yourself?
Are you living authentically?
I am more at peace with myself now
Than ever I've been before.
What people think does not bother me.
I don't bother with those types of people anymore.
It's amazing how afraid I was of the fire
Yet,
Like a moth, I was drawn to its flames.
It wasn't enough to have charred wings
I needed it to consume me.
I danced towards it,
Knowing it would be the end of the existence I believed to be reality.
How naive of me.
I stand before you,
Telling you the truth.
Your comprehension is not my problem.
I no longer care to make myself understood.
I am..
Who I am.
Because,
That is
ME.
