Imagining the Reunion
How long have I been here
A day
A week
I've forgotten what you look like.
How, when we were together
You
and
Me
What was it that you use to say
To get me to laugh that way?
Can you remember?
Nope
Not
Me.
How was it you would look at me
And
I
Understood.
Every day brings something new
And, so does every week.
So, now,
How are you?
Anything new at all?
Me,
I'm not the same person.
I've mended some
From our fall.
The bruises don't bother me
Or the pain
Anymore.
I'm numb now..
And dull now,
And weary of another fall.
So, tell me
What ails you?
Why did you decide to call?
Yea, well, we all wish at times
Things could be different.
But, what's the point of it all?
Can
You
Remember?
Because I managed to forget.
Are you serious
When you ask me
If there are any regrets?
How long have I been here
