Yesterday Blues
Oh for the yesterdays, filled with sincerities,
togetherness, love, and future harmony.
Shouts of laughter were unashamedly loud,
today there’s silence beneath a shroud.
Yesterday once promised endless tomorrows
full of opportunities with no regrets or sorrows.
Tomorrows promises have now vanished from sight
along with my reason, hope, and fight.
