Goldilocks
There are rules,
I know there are rules-
of right and wrong
do's and don'ts
road maps;
Nevers
and Vows
and restrictions,
warnings,
beseeches,
loomings
gloamings
and
terror things.
But I don't care.
Mistakes are mine;
mine to make
and like Goldilocks
I'll skip in the woods
if I like.
Oh, I may have a small
pouch
of nostrums and remedies-
magic potions
and evil warders offers;
but I'll not rely upon them
for my safety clutch.
No, I will face all these
negativities
straight up;
for of all the lives in the woods
I'll know mine
is mine
and in the end it is I
and my wits
are all there is.
That is my secret truth
and you know-
that is enough.
Should be for you too.
