Forgive or Forget
Its been many years
Since i lost you
The foundation of my family crushed
Since you walked out
Never to return again
You left with me in pieces
I never thought you would
Just leave without a care
Now im much older
And still i havent decided what to do
I can forgive
I can forget
Ive done neither since you left
If i forget
The pain you left will still live on
If i forgive
Ill only let go of the anger inside
Neither of the two help me move on
If i do neither of the two
Ill live with the pain
And the thoughts of you
If i do both
Ill only lose the anger
And forget who you are
But never what you did
What choice am i left with
All will still leave me torn
None will ever heal me
I cant decide what to do
Even though
The last piece of me
Is torn from my soul
