Friendship Makes A Comeback With A Warm Aside
Fast, warm and the mightiest- gather
Light, sound and matter
Connect in and push out
A friend of nature.
Native Indians, they are so much in wisdom-
‘How will you know
A man [or woman] if you never walked a mile in his [her] moccasins? '
Or nine.
Upfront friends from schooldays
Round and back me out of frays
Knowing two of them
Makes me proud.
She who forgives
A power
most beautiful
And the other, most simply, a being
Who feels real company without-
Jealousy- 'poverty [of] the worst form of violence': Mahatma Gandhi
Shades deeper and colors wide.
Crow and dove
Really pair together
As an old saying from the Indian diaspora goes
To even a crow, a child is golden
A swooping shadow to the gentlest one-
peace marathon messenger
- the dove.
The moon and the sun
Reflection and refraction
All one.
