Yesterday Too
Yesterday, I returned to
Poppy's Garden
It was a beautiful Spring day.
Flowers were in full bloom,
Their essence filled the air.
For a moment, I was taken
back,
Visions of the past flooded
my mind,
Once again, a little girl, sat
on her fathers lap,
Softly reading to her, from
the Childrens Bible.
Always leading in a certain
direction.
Many lessons were taught
there
He has molded me, into the
person I am today.
Encouraging me, be the best
that you can be.
He didn't want to go, I begged
my hero, stay.
I'd give up my tomorrow,
For another yesterday.
