But Not For Long
You stepped into my
life,
A foolish reminder.
But not for long.
You stepped into my
heart,
Making bold advances.
But not for long.
You forced the door
open,
With many promises,
But not for long.
You played on my heart
strings,
Without my permission,
But not for long.
Strings can be easily
broken,
Sometimes hard to repair,
But not for long.
