Through Falling, Falling Snow

As from my frozen window pane
I looked upon that winter's day,
The snow was drifting deep and crisp
And skies were darkest grey,
I did not wish to leave the warmth
Of home but knew I had to go,
And walk towards those factory gates
Through falling, falling snow.

I headed down those empty streets
Within the early morning light,
So hard each step I had to take
Through all life's bitter spite,
I longed to be back home again
As freezing winds did cruelly blow,
But headed to those factory gates
Through falling, falling snow.

I wondered where it all went wrong
Those thoughts remained within my mind,
As I did languish in the drifts
My eyes were almost blind,
I could not see the way before
And yet the way I seemed to know,
That led unto those factory gates
Through falling, falling snow.

And so towards that bleak estate
Past houses that I knew so well,
I thought that I would rather starve
Than face that day of hell,
I fought against my apathy
But soon my tears began to flow,
As then I saw those factory gates
Through falling, falling snow.

Snow Is Falling

Snow is falling: snow is falling.
Geranium flowers reach
for the blizzard’s small white stars
past the window’s edge.

Snow is falling, all is lost,
the whole world’s streaming past:
the flight of steps on the back stairs,
the corner where roads cross.

Snow is falling: snow is falling,
not snowflakes stealing down,
Sky parachutes to earth instead,
in his worn dressing gown.

As if he’s playing hide-and-seek,
across the upper landings,
a mad thing, slowly sneaks,
Sky creeps down from the attic.

It’s all because life won’t wait,
before you know, it’s Christmas here.
And look, in a minute,
suddenly it’s New Year.

Snow is falling, deeper – deeper.
Maybe, with that same stride
in that same tempo,
with that same languor,

Time’s going by?

Year after year, perhaps,
passing, as snow’s falling,
like words in a poem?
Snow’s falling: snow’s falling.
Snow is falling, all is lost –
the whitened passers-by,
leaves’ startled showing,
the corners where roads cross.

The First Of the Slowly Falling Snow

O snow that glitters on the ground
That slowly falls and covers fall
Your the purest of white as you fall from heaven
Blanketing the woods and condemning it to silence
You softly fall on the branch of a tree
As you land you melt with sadness
But you grow stronger as the angels bestow coldness on the land
You renew the dying land giving birth to new life
As you slowly fall and blanket the land
The animals all go to sleep waiting for the new birth
But till then you slowly fall

Snow, it's not your time to go, please stay! !

It's winter, yet I feel first signs of spring
seen the snow melting, heard the birds sing
so happy were spreading their wings!
I smiled; but deep
Inside my heart
Comes bleeding one more crack;
My heart is breaking as I know
there is not long to go
for us to fly on ski no more
nor skate nor even watch
the dancing falling snow!
Soon in no more than a few years
we will have raining the whole winter
I so much fear
The drops of rain?
Tears and only a tear flake!
of our most sorowful pain!
It seem we do not want to understand
And never stop to make, stock or gain
Imported food, tobacco, rare drinks
cute cup, gush, so pink! A table plate,
look, all comes really cheap! ?
Then the big staff, expensive ones
the latest car, new game, blue ray
whole range of digi smart, new new house
new roads or railroad cutting the mountains
companies factories eating clean air,
I could continue till tomorrow but you may
stop me and say: -
tomorrow always comes
you'll never go away!
Right! And so the the global warming
forever it will stay
if we continue to play their games.
Whose game? How could I know, lol
No one would say..
But doesn't matter anyway
let's only stop the playing.
And try to save, starting with
being careful for what I pay.

I'll raise my water cup
For me, for Us,
for better than the worse,
Let's rise!
Noroc!

Noroc! - in romanian tongue it means cheers and good luck!

Falling Snow

The snow whispers around me
And my wooden clogs
Leave holes behind me in the snow.
But no one will pass this way
Seeking my footsteps,
And when the temple bell rings again
They will be covered and gone.

Ode On Snow

Snowstorms!
Piles of snow!
Soft, crystalline white snowflakes!
Feathered rain!
Powder snow!
Falling snow!
Up to the kneecaps snow!
Snow stuck on sidewalks and streets!
Snowballs!
Snowmen!
Snowdrift!
Sledding on soft snow!
Crunching snow!
Snow cones!

Horses in the Snow

Their manes are a wintry white
Frosted with the glittering snow
There backs are dappled light
And shimmer with a frozen glow

Dark browns and golden tones
Contrast with the wonderland
From dark grays to deep roans
The muted colors of the land

Their manes and backs are white
Frosted with the falling snow
The horses dance through the light
Of the shining, shimmering snow

Tracks In The Snow

Like tracks in the snow our actions follow
Throughout our life, no matter where we go.
No matter which direction the wind may blow,
Tracks are always there imprinted in the snow.

Never covered; the pain of sins long past,
Mistakes in life follow like tracks in snow.
Looking behind the tracks winding too and fro,
Losing the light; in the gently falling snow.

Snow wolves

I can hear the wolves
Howl in the distance
The howl is suddenly
Dampened by the falling snow
In a clearing
I see the wolves howl
Perched on the slanted rock
They cry to the moon
The moon cries back
It cries with agony
It cries because of death
Death witnessed beneath it's glow
The wolves turn and howl
The snow doesn't let up
But blows harder
Through blind panic
i run
I hear the wolves howl
Only it isn't in the distance

Silent Snow

A single pane of glass divides
Myself from falling snow outside.
The first of many falling snows
That these white winter skies will know.

And taking then my quiet leave
The snow alights on cap and sleeve,
While walking slowly up the hill
I realize then the world is still

All still except for falling flakes
Filling fast the tracks I make.
All still except for swelling smiles
Growing with the snow in piles.

All still within a quiet mind
All still as footprints left behind.

I Am Snow

I am Snow, I am
I am cold, be damned
I am silent long
I am silent song

I am quiet like
Falling snow at night
I am peaceful...yes
Here on Earth as guest

I am often random
Snowflake not in tandem
Different drummers beat
Destiny to meet

I am beauty wasted
Snowflake seldom tasted
Changing always, ever
Quirky winter weather

I am sometime Blizzard
Hostile, weak-willed wizard
Havoc in my wake
Causing souls to shake

I am Snow I am
I can grow, I can
Sky of beauty white
Touching Heaven's light

Busted glass or a never ending snow

Are love was like busted glass,
We never knew each other,
We never had the chance,
Almost like busted glass,
I dash through the falling snow,
Everytime the wind blows,
I shiver,
It feels like busted glass,
Then i know it was you,
Busted glass,
OR,
A never ending snow,
There is no you,
There is no me,
There is only an us,
An us that could have been,
An us that should have been
Your dead but yet you live,
You live in me,
My grandfather you are me,
You are my soul,
You are my yes and no,
We are more then busted glass,
We are the endless snow,

Love Within The Sparkling Snow

When we met at that snowy day
Within the snow rain falling from the sky
Overwhelmed us with its spark
Overwhelmed us with our feeling

We walked together under the falling snow
Holding each other's hand trying to find the warmth
To find the truth
I love you, you love me, our feeling..

Under that sparkling snow
As you said you love me
And wanted me to be your spouse
Joyful and contented I feel
Be with you for the rest of my life I only want

Our love within the sparkling snow
Will always be there in our heart
Grow stronger in every single day
We'll bring till there's no more day

Falling Snow

my life, is breaking down, i see your eyes, falling time, wait for the end, wait for the end, and never ever go away. oh a million, 2 million secrets lost now, what i said? never waste?, once more snowing, snowing, the lights. oh, i always trusted you, trust in you. it's there , a breaking mind, a soul all lost in hell, but they can make it up, and try to understand, what difference does it make, to know i'm full of hate. fear, religion, fear, religion, fear religion, fear fear religion. looking hands on your eyes, fear, there's plague outside, no one cares, no one cares, so close your eyes....

Starting A New Life

When I hear that robin sing
Well I know its coming on spring
Ooo-we and were starting a new life
Ive been shovelling the snow away
Working hard for my pay
All I gotta say is were starting a new life
Were gonna move
Way on down the line
Girl, we been standing in one place for too long a time
When I hear that robin song
Well, I know it wont be long
Frank, I know we belong
And were starting a new life
We gonna move, move way on down the line
Girl, we been standing in one place for too long a time
When I hear that robin song
Well, I know it wont be long
Frank, I know we belong
And were starting a new life

A Snowy Scene

As each new snowfall comes
and covers up the ground
everything beneath it
is still all around.
Our eyes do not see it
so we forget it for a time.
The blanket of snowy white
covers up the grime.

When the snow starts melting
our eyes must then adjust
to the reality of seeing
the soot, the stone and dust.
We like to remember it
and let our mind review
the flaky white landscape
with freshness that was new.

As the flakes are falling
we anticipate the scene.
It reminds us there is nothing
that ever looks that clean.
Integrate this feeling.
Make it a part of you.
For each new snowflake is a gift
that falls for you to view.

And The Snow Fell

I remember big soft wet flakes
falling on the tracks all the way
streets filling with that wet snow
the trolley I was riding plowing
through fields of city snow
like a big red bulldozer

I remember clear as day
sitting with Ma at the table
in the kitchen looking out
at the snow falling

Ma and I sat there
streets and rooftops
disappearing in the falling snow
that covered all
and the snow fell along the Rhine
in Germany
and in the dark woods of the Ardennes

we sat there and watched
as the fields and woods in France
filled with gently falling snow
and my Pa lying dead
somewhere in France

and snow fell softly
all the way
across Europe

Of This You Can Be Sure

The summer sun rises over the hills,
With a beauty and certain grace,
But it cannot compete with the beauty of you,
Or the beauty of your face.

The falling snow in wintertime,
Makes everything look so new,
But it cannot compare with the beauty,
The beauty that is you.

The birds in springtime sing their song,
So sweetly and so pure,
But they cannot compare with your sweet words,
Of this you can be sure.

The colorful leaves on autumn trees,
All covered with morning dew,
May be glorious in their beauty,
But are nothing compared to you.

All the wonders on this fine earth,
And the glory of up above,
Are nothing compared to your sweet charms,
Or the beauty of your love.

First Monday In December

This first Monday in December,
Comes with a beauty none like I can remember.

The Sun so bright in a cloudless sky.
Air clean and fresh...
A gift that surprises.
The first day of the month,
Beginning on the first day of a work week.
After spending a joyous festive Thanksgiving,
With family and friends and having fun!
What a gift!

What a joy it is to witness this.
I couldn't wish for anything better,
On my Christmas list.

This first Monday in December,
Seems more like Spring.
With birds chirping,
And barren trees without their leaves.
Reminds me of something quite surrealistic.
And free of falling snow,
New Englanders have come to know.

This first Monday in December,
Comes with a beauty none like I can remember.
And I fill with so much gladness,
I can't explain!
Nor do I wish to complain,
About this visit that delivers!
