Sea of Green
Persia,
ancient land of mystery,
rich in cultural history,
once the cradle of civilization.
Still (in 2009)
Democratic election
is just an illusion.
The Ayatollah and his cleric's
in a vain attempt
to hide deception,
send out the paramilitary
to repress democracy.
Unwilling to respect
the vote of their people,
they grew fearful of
the strange vibrations
when the Sea of green
Awoke.
Courage be with you
Sea of green,
for yours alone is the mission.
Fear... the foe that you must overcome.
Before you waits the prize,
your future.
Upheaval in the streets
as the Sea swells.
Blood stains on the pavement
their courageous stories tell.
Martyred at the hands of
the Revolutionary Guards,
their images seared,
Internationally
by technology.
And we hear them…
the cries of the suppressed
seeking an answer.
