Robert Frost

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Slugs and Snails - Parody Robert Frost Fire and Ice

Some say our world will end with snails
some slug out blown.
With climate change, scarce dinner pails,
I'd back whales weighed upon time's scales.
Of human nature enough's known
by those who'd live to tell tales tall
to show that for destruction sown
slug outs withal
suffice - home-grown.

Two stanza word world ends at ease
in freezer stowed
both slugs and snails preserved - one sees
a micro-wave cold sale could tease
snails from their shells - Frost's poem showed
that none cold feet should entertain
when world on ice skates, atoms slowed:
Can slugs feel pain
for tea at minus forty three degrees?

Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

How The World Will End

The world will end, when its least expected
When the days grow numb as dull November
Drifting sagged cardboard from silhouettes of heaven
As every face becomes a portrait of its own grave
A masque medicated to professional wake
Living day by day for the cuckoo disbursement
Regulated by numbers in scheduled hours
Collapsing our faith in the alley of bones
Where we are set free to one day roam

The world will end, without a goodbye
It will fade in a whimper without a big bang
Like water tip toeing on an unassuming stone
Parched penetrating the sewage of rusted charcoal
Yes the world will end the world will end
Counting down the grains of an hour glass eye
When there is less of a future and more of a past
Staring behind flesh of disintegrating glass

Because someone neglected tell you things have now past

The world will end when you don't see it end
With larks still singing and the June bugs fly
And there's still a cool breeze from a blue canopy
But then something rises and tastes all to biter
And you examine your life to see what remains
Is now a series of moments divided by events
Inexplicably sorted between this one and next
Becoming an albatross wreathed as a lapel

The world will end, every moment of your existence
When every day you rise without knowing yourself
And you feel yourself sliding into apathies door
Superfluous sad neglecting to a role of stale urine
As you realize each day grows tedium with yearning
While your breathings compelled to concrete mold
You look at the morning of sunlight's gold arrows
And bury yourself between the sheets of your friends

Because you now realize this is the world's end

Is This The Year The World Will End?

The Mayans knew a thing or two.
They forecast that the world would end
In two thousand and ten plus two.
I do not think we can depend

On their prediction coming true..
There have been prophecies before
Predicting that the end was due,
I do not there will be more.

I do not claim to prophecies
I have no faith in those who do.
My world will end the day I die.
I think the same applies to you.

I could be wrong quite possibly
It may be true the Mayans knew.
Enough to state with certainty.
That their prediction would come true.

The Mayans were astronomers
They left behind a legacy
In the form of calendars
What they believed would come to be.

Is this the year of destiny?
We have no choice but wait and see.
I think that very probably.
We’ll carry on regardlessly.

It just another prophecy.
Though based on erudition.
The Mayans thought mistakenly.
Would herald the destruction.

Of everything and everyone.
We hope that it will prove to be
another failed prediction.
Like every other prophecy.

What fate decrees will come to be.
The world is bound to end some day.
But when remains a mystery.
No man alive can solve today.

Kolkata Burning

The wild flames of fire
Has engulfed us all
Bricks, mortars, stones
All things from the roof did fall.
All were confused,
All ran helter skelter
All wanted a hand of help
All wanted a safe shelter.
Fire was here and fire was there
Fire was far and fire was near
The wall of flame went restless
People roared below
And fire was tameless.
Its long tongue
Destroyed all
Fire spread like a cannon ball.
I heard some saying
Fire will never tire
I heard some saying
The world will end in fire.

Thoughts Of Li Po From The World's End

Here at the world's end the cold winds are beginning to blow. What messages
have you for me, my master? When will the poor wandering goose arrive? The
rivers and lakes are swollen with autumn's waters. Art detests a too successful
life; and the hungry goblins await you with welcoming jaws. You had better have
a word with the ghost of that other wronged poet. Drop some verses into the
Mi-lo as an offering to him!

Sonnet-'Tis God Who'll End the World

Would I be more happy, if blind since birth?
Would I be more happy if deaf all years?
Would I be more happy not seeing earth?
Would I be more happy then with less tears?

The earth is dying rapidly with time;
Mad men destroy its beauty very fast;
All things are changing including its clime;
The way things are, never happened in past.

The things that happen God knows, even before;
None know the mystery of Universe;
Apocalypse by men is mere folk-lore;
The wounds men inflict, God will surely nurse.

The world will end as per the divine plan;
The Doomsday can't be ushered in by Man.

Obliterated

Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice
your lives full of desire
your world turned over twice
i am yet what i am
none cares or knows
The world is lost
in a long forgotten snow
Earth like a raisin in the sun
drying up tears running down its face
Tomorrow ill be at the edge of the earth
a cross traveling overhead
protecting my place of birth
THe flick flick fire licking at edges
A tick tick of bombs hiding in hedges
let it be forgotten the earth turned to ashes
let it be forgotten earth enveloped in trashes
into the nothingness of scorn and noise
who will procure me
Into the land of girls and boys
who will secure me
i remember sounds like that from my childhood
laughter from no cause
i remember towns full of people
from my childhood
bustling with no pause
A wins that wips at my face
a kin that sips at my place
we belong
we belong
Twinkle twinkle little star
Do you see earth from so far
twinkle twinkle little earth
do you see a stars rebirth
My eyes are open
my eyes are shut
i see a trail of tiny duck
my feet are cold
my hands are clammy
i miss my little dog named sammy
what earth once was
is no more my birth once done
is practiced more
so why is it earth has left
No cries are heard
upon a breast

The world will never understand

The world will never understand our love
So we'll not judge it by their measures.
We'll just accept it as a gift
And guard it as our treasure.

I have been fighting with a worldly view.
Now let me heal those wounds
I've inflicted on you.
Keep me mindful of our origin of truth.

The World Will Move On

The lashing rain beat down on them
The three puppies huddled and moaned
There was no warmth worth its name
The clouds thundered as they lay disowned!
Death stared stark and cold on their face
Insignificant little ones in the life’s race
The world will move on without these three
Only with them will die a part of me!

So that the world will not perish

Where we watch the willow sway, like a lullaby
and the fireflies dance in fluid streaks above the river
Where the water trickles and splashes happily
and the deer creep warily to the edge to gaze at their reflection
Where the winter of our past meets with our summery future
and the present holds dearly to our soul
There we walk together, hand in hand, and kiss
and make love in the afterglow of day
There we dance under the crystal stars
and watch the waves cover one another
All so that the world will not perish around us...
...without us

The Family of Imran (Chapter 3, Verses 42-43, Holy Koran)

I ask for refuge to Allah from Satan the exiled evildoer.
In the name of Allah the Kind and the Merciful Giver.

And when the angels said,
O Mary! Surely Allah has chosen you
And purified you
And chosen you above the girls of the world.

O Mary! Keep up obedience to your Lord
And humble yourself (before God)
And bow down with those who bow (before your Lord) .

Estonia

(music: marillion lyrics: steve hogarth)
Feeling you shake
Feel your heart break
Thinking if only if only if only if only
And the salt water runs
Through your veins and your bones
Telling you no not this way, not this way, not this way
And you would give anything
Give up everything
Offer your life blood away
For yesterday
No one leaves you
When you live in their heart and mind
And no one dies
They just move to the other side
When were gone
Watch the world simply carry on
We live on laughing and in no pain
Well stay and be happy
With those who have loved us today
Finding the answer its a human obsession
But you might as well talk to the stones and the trees and the sea
Cause nobody knows
And so few can see
Theres only beauty and caring and truth beyond darkness
No one leaves you
When you live in their heart and mind
And we wont understand your grief
Because time is illusion
As this watery world spins around
This timeless sun
Will dry your eyes
And calm your mind
No one leaves you
When you live in their heart and mind
And no one dies
They just move to the other side
Watch the world simply carry on
Its okay, we will stay and be happy
Stay and be happy
With those who have loved us today
Who loved us today

The world will say you my wife

Seeing you my dear!
My eyes forget all other sights,
Feeling you inside me
I just start flying in the sky.
You are so! you are as such!
I cant stop loving you much
O my dear! night spend in sighs
Days seeing you pass on and on
I want you baby! I need you!
You are my fuel, come to me soon.
The way you provide me pleasure these days
I just say completely you are mine
The more I write, the lesser it will be,
I want the palace, our dwelling place be,
I love the way you see me! the love you provide
Is infiniteless! no meter can measure that
I become restless when you are not before my eyes
Only your presence bring me back into life
Baby! Please say you are mine! I am craving
To hear this from your mouth! thus your lips
On your every glance my heart slips
For you only the beating takes place inside me
Clear I do now just you are here only
In whose absence my heart and me feel lonely
My heart! I don't know anyone than you
Waiting for the moment you will enter my life
As my part and world will say you my wife

Some Say

Some say that I am doomed and bound for hell
Since I commit the sin of doggerel
That I am guilty of the awful crime
Of tainting poetry's name in slipshod rhyme.

Some say I ought to hang my head in shame
Since I am one who sully poetry's name
And though with them I can't say I disagree
Still have they right to pass judgement on me?

Some say that I can never be a poet
Since doggerel is all I've ever wrote
But they tell me something I already know
As I've realized that many years ago.

Some say that I should put my pen away
But I hope that they will never see that day
For though in me I don't have poetic eye
The writing of doggerel verses I enjoy.

Some say that poetry is for those with brains
And not for one whose job is digging drains
And that poet should at least have literary degree
And graduate from university.

Some say that I am guilty of grave wrong
That I defile the name of verse and song
And that there's a place reserved for me in hell
As punishment for writing doggerel.

When Women Will Rule The World

When women will rule the World sadly i won't be around
My bones will be resting forever in some quiet dead person's ground
But what a World 'twill be to live in the flower of peace will bloom again
And for as long as women do rule the World peace in the World will remain,
For as long as men rule the World terror and warring will live on
They have not learned from the mistakes of past male leaders with men as leaders all hope of peace gone
When women will rule the World the World will be a better place to live in
Mothers will not have to weep for their dead children there will not be wars for to win,
Women give birth to the soldiers mothers do not want their children to die
A dead hero is better than a living coward that is if you believe a lie,
Women do not want their children fighting in wars far away
There would be less wars in the World if women had a greater say
And when women will rule the World war will be a thing of the past
The flower of peace will be blooming and beautiful peace it will last.

World to end

World to end

I would never want the world to end
Even if nature has turned against us with clear trend
Still we are like children or in fact real to almighty
We want that some kind eye is needed with mercy

We fear about holocaust in unprecedented manner
People forecast it to happen not later but sooner
I shall not believe such theory but certainly do believe
About His power to balance the take and give

What have we done to ask for any kind of favor?
Have we not done away to death the god sent saviors?
Do we ever desire to become the true disciples?
If not then why are we afraid of unknown cycles?

When we are unkind to others and keep no good will?
Nature has many ways to uproot you and kill
How are we helpless in dealing with bush fire?
Watch in disbelief and silently retire

We have advanced in science and technology
We have learnt the nature of animals and helped zoology
Yet we have not mastered the control over volcano eruption
Live under constant fear and watch helplessly with questions

Our life is like clay pot
It can be broken or made worthless on the spot
Once broken then it can’t be restored
We need to think more instead of it to be deplored

What stops us from behaving in conformity?
Everything around us is important with its quality
They stand for universal value and impart some messages
We, as human being, need to learn and give smooth passage

Whether world ends today or centuries later
We are not hear to give credence to gossips or cater
What best can we do to preserve the ecological balance?
Survive self and make the way for all to live in with harmony at once

No one compels us to part with any valuables
It is as good as voluntary to help disables
If we can have little kindness at heart
I think some miracle will definitely take part
