I stand alone away from you desanctified and disfigured

It was a brightly lit afternoon
I saw a four legged machine
Descending on me slowly

I could understand that
It was an airborne vehicle
And it was effectively
Controlled and guided

So nice to see all its four legs
Touched my surface
The same time, making
The landing smooth and gentle

White fine dusts rose
From each point of contact
And I had to cough a bit
In a slight discomfort

From a window of the vehicle
Rolled down a ladder
And there peeped an image
Perhaps, a human being
Finding way through the window
And slowly climbed down
Carefully stepping upon me

“That's one small step for (a) man,
One giant leap for mankind'
I heard a male voice
Yelling his safe arrival here on me

He moved slowly
Jumping each step
Making good use
Of my gentle gravity
Generating a white cloud
Of dust at each step he made

Another similar image also
Came down on me
And both spent about 3 hours
Collecting the powdery white soil
And rocks on my surface

They planted a flag on me
And also a plaque with
Images of a man and woman
As if I did not know
From where they landed

Predictions

The lost book of Nostradamus
suddenly is found and quoted
and even predictions
from extinct people
that the hour work
is hitting near the end
and that man
is standing on the brink of disaster
is given.

Astrologers and old prophets
leave people dumbstruck
with predictions
about what is going to happen with humanity
and people look up into the sky
to see what the stars are telling.

l’Envoi
Great Lord, of all of this I know very little,
just that all things begin with You
and that Your hand
is still around the world
and Your love and compassion
still reaches out to man.

Visionary Nicolaas Pieter Johannes Van Rensburg

Some people
view visionary Van Rensburg similar
to Nostradamus,
but most do not even know
about this remarkable, humble
and religious man.

During the second Anglo-Boer war
he was to the Boers
a true prophet from God
and both commandant-generals Christiaan De Wet
and Koos De La Rey as well as president Steyn
consulted him for advice.

They were generals
who humiliated the British
time and time again
with daring tactics
and who were never captured.

His mother taught him
about the Bible
from being small
and as a child
while he herded sheep,
he took the Bible along.

He made more than seven hundred
predictions of which
some he could interpret correctly
and the meaning of others
was beyond him.

His warnings to Boer commandos
came true literary
and he predicted
Boer farmsteads burning
and women and children
being killed.

Long in advance
he predicted the First World War,
the flue epidemic
and even went to Lichtenburg
to warn general De La Rey
of his impending death.

Some writers believe
that the events in Zimbabwe,
the fall of European governments,

Full right to body

Full right to body
You can not side-track
The question who am I.

You can not say certainly
Male or female
And what you say
Potentially inaccurate.

Torture abuse
No meaning
No blue line
No pink line
No masculine
No feminine.

Let me choose
My own identity
I have full right
To my body
I have full right
To my body
I am a human being
Human being.

A painful separation

Why I don’t want to reopen?
Why it has struck me againm and again
Has it surfaced all of sudden?
I had no slightest idea even

You fuelled my passion
You had agreed with confession
You could not do it with full honesty
There was no need to feel pity

I shall regret the decision
My earliar decision not taken withprecision
How inaccurate was I in catching the pulse?
How has it resulted in curse?

I don’t want to live with remorse
There can’t be any compulsion or force
I may decide my own course
It will be altogether different ofcourse

It will be painful still not bad
It has made me all the time very sad
It kept me in state of depression
It was never a lovely and beautiful session

I am afraid of hot sun
I shall not prefer to run
It waspainful but not a fun
I felt it was at point of gun

I am slamming the door
You have acted fool and very poor
I wouldn’t want you round the corner
It will be fine if you depart sooner

What is it to me if there is bright sunshune?
What if there is good dazzling in rain?
I have had enough of anguish and pain
You did enough damage for little gain

I am not in position to think slight
It is no good to argue or fight
I shall take you off from my mind
I should have another match to find

I think of peaceul end
Sinc you were unable to mend
I tried all my best to sustain the blow
I can’t live with uncertainty and grow

Act live with motto

What can you expect from dead?
Can we expect anything from dead head?
Blinds can’t come to the forefront and lead
It is quite impossible to understand and read

We shut our eyes and pretend ignorance
Luck and chance comes in life only once
If we can’t judge properly and take the decision
It will be inaccurate and without precision

We must act live and with some motive
Full participation by remaining very active
Humble approach with firmness but submissive
Full of enthusiasm and presenting it live

No trace will be there when we leave
No one may agree to what we did or believe
It is like building castles in the sand
May come down like pack of cards with current trend

We live with body but without soul
Distrust all and smell the foul
It is to be trusted and trust
We are on earth like ordinary guest

We have shortest tenure with limited span
To finish it fast without guidance or plans
Where will be time to judge and assure?
We will have to make it doubly sure

Life is dull if there is no goal or aim
You can’t thrust on luck and claim
It requires lot of efforts with dedication
Success with honor may give you good indication

Dead can’t rise from grave
You got to be very firm and brave
If dead could deliver the result
Why don’t we go to them for advice and consult?

It is high time to act as per vigor and strength
We must throw whole weight and go to any length
It is not the game but strong resolve to fight
To come out from the dark to find the ray of light

Only dead don't fight and offer the resistance
You must go all out or correct insistence
The success may not elude but come on the way
Keep off from wrong illusion and have final say

Everything is fair

Everything is fair in love and war,
Prove your intelligence and excellence at par,
Even if no means to ride in car,
Entertain friends in shopping and visits to bar,

Boy may think it is simple game too lure a girl,
Great adventure as if to lay hands on pearl,
Attempt in orthodox way to impress upon,
No success in sight but still carries on,

Not to be too harsh on them for such move,
Persuasion with little care and fears to remove,
Little failure may prove them lame duck,
Nothing may succeed like successful work,

It is adventurous age that needs ample time,
Priorities are different and goal not prime,
Nowhere to go or nothing in sight but still big target,
Not always ready or in position to forgive and forget,

In their opinion ending of life is only way to show,
Not swimming across odds or against water flow,
Out of proportion and in situation always blow,
Childish action to exhibit and immaturity to grow,

Still you may win over other side with false promises,
Inaccurate planning with less gain and more misses,
Boosting to handle the matter with great confidence
Continue to learn more from lapses and incidences,

It is not less than holy war or crusade,
With strong resolution and powerful drive to invade,
Ways may be improper but end could be noble,
After all life is so important with little means available,

So everything is fine if intention is clear
Nothing to worry and nothing to hear
All difficulties to self and gracefully bear
Not to complain or to shed the tears

Not to compromise at all at the cost of dignity
All efforts to attain goal in near vicinity
Not to malign others and to maintain sanctity
To strive very hard and thrust on continuity

Even if means are not fair for adoption
No alternative is in sight as possible option
Then also drive should be on without fail
All possibilities explored for chances to avail

Howard Nemerov

I Only Am Escaped Alone to Tell Thee

I tell you that I see her still
At the dark entrance of the hall.
One gas lamp burning near her shoulder
Shone also from her other side
Where hung the long inaccurate glass
Whose pictures were as troubled water.
An immense shadow had its hand
Between us on the floor, and seemed
To hump the knuckles nervously,
A giant crab readying to walk,
Or a blanket moving in its sleep.

You will remember, with a smile
Instructed by movies to reminisce,
How strict her corsets must have been,
How the huge arrangements of her hair
Would certainly betray the least
Impassionate displacement there.
It was no rig for dallying,
And maybe only marriage could
Derange that queenly scaffolding -
As when a great ship, coming home,
Coasts in the harbor, dropping sail
And loosing all the tackle that had laced
Her in the long lanes...
I know
We need not draw this figure out
But all that whalebone came for whales
And all the whales lived in the sea,
In calm beneath the troubled glass,
Until the needle drew their blood.
I see her standing in the hall,
Where the mirror's lashed to blood and foam,
And the black flukes of agony
Beat at the air till the light blows out.
