Their Arse From Their Elbow

There are certain people
I have met quite a few,
who could tell you every aspect
of the job you do.
When they sit down to do it
and a problem arises there,
because its not in the textbook
they read so confidently,
they haven’t got a clue
of how to handle it
or really what to do.
They dont know
their arse from their elbow
when a situation like that appears.
As we walk through life
we gain knowledge with every step we take.
However, there are some people
who read a textbook,
and take tests on it.
Then think they know everything
there is to know.
When in fact they cannot even distinguish
their arse from their elbow.
They have no experience
of what real life is,
only what a textbook says.
One day when they
put the textbook down
and start learning about the real things in life.
We all might have a better place to live.
Let us hope the sooner the better.

Dont Bother Me

Dont come round here looking for my sympathy
Dont come round here looking for my prayers
You spent the eighties in a trance
Yeah you led us all on a merry dance
Now its sad to say that I dont care
You were always advocating power games
You were always gonna be a star
You made your money, had your fun
Made a video bout how its done
Aint put it in my vcr
So far
Dreams fall into disrepair
Theres a change in the air
Your lies
Will lead you to despair
Dont bother me
(castles in the sand slip through your hand)
Dont bother me - I dont give a damn
Dont bother me
(try to understand its in your hand)
Dont bother me
Well no amount of liquor, babe, can drown the blues today
No amount of pills can ease the pain
When the body electric and the vision thing
Is all it takes to make the people sing
Lets hope we dont get fooled again
My friend
Dreams fall into disrepair
Theres a change in the air
Theres a girl who says she cares
And her love
Will leave you standing there
Dont bother me
(I cant change your mind when youre so blind)
Dont bother me - I cant spare the time
Dont bother me
(takes an ocean wide to turn tide)
Dont bother me - love cant be denied
Dont bother me
(castles in the sand slip through your hand)
Dont bother me - I dont give a damn
Dont bother me

So Don'tchu Bother Me Tonight

If you AINT seen the light...
Don'tcha bother me,
Tonight.

Don't bother me...
Tonight.
I'm doing all I can to live my life right!

Don'tcha bother me,
Tonight.
I have no appetite to share in a fight!

Don't you bother me...
Tonight.
I wont allow myself to move in that groove.
And if I did you' be the one that would lose.
I've worked too hard to be abused by you.
I could demand from you 'backpay'.

Don'tcha bother me,
Tonight.
I have no appetite to share in a fight!

Don't you bother me...
Tonight.
I've worked too hard to be abused by you.
I could demand from you 'backpay' too...
For all that stuff I had to suffer while you made it with another.

Don't you bother me...
Tonight.
I wont allow myself to move in that groove.
And if I did you' be the one that would lose.
I've worked too hard to be abused by you.
I could demand from you 'backpay' too!

So don'tchu bother me,
Tonight.
Unless you want to cough up 'BACKPAY' too!

So don'tchu bother me,
Tonight.
Unless you want to cough up 'BACKPAY' too!

So don'tchu bother me,
Tonight.
Unless you want to cough up 'BACKPAY' too!

So don't dare bother me!

The Bald Eagle Has Broken The Geneva Convention

Only a monster could observe
naked suffering of concentration
extermination camps and not thank
God for liberation closing of this crime.

A crime inditing systematic political indifference
to a horrific crime perpetrated against humanity.

Only a monster could observe
calculated humiliation human rights
abuses torture violation of international
law Geneva Conventions and not pray closure.

International law for humanitarian treatment of
victims of war as 90% in Guantanamo proved to be.

Fact! The Geneva Convention agreements of 1949
negotiated in the aftermath of World War II updated
the terms of the first three treaties and added a fourth.

Fact! Articles defined the basic rights of those captured
during a military conflict, establishing protections for
the wounded, and addressing protections for civilians.

“The treaties of 1949 were ratified, in whole or with
reservations, by 194 countries” including the USA Mr Bush.

Placing Guantanamo outside the United States to avoid
violating American laws, while deliberately violating
international law, and Geneva Conventions, sends a strong

message to the free world; spelling out meaning of Bush
new world order, and foolish contempt of world opinion.
Arrogant is a word, reserved for illegal, fuel war in Iraq.

When deliberately targeting infrastructure, hospitals
electricity water schools, non-military targets, a word
for the wise. This does not win hearts and minds, but

individuals; communities, governments, nations
globally, observe infrastructure is deliberately
destroyed; selection fixed to suppress control demoralize.

Soon such policies Guantanamo abuses
are compared to a few little sentences
Mr Bush Pentagon staff should have read.

I Know For Me There's No Benefit

Why did you abandon my love,
And then announce it missing?
Then you called all your friends to tell them,
Not even a glance from me you are getting.
Why do you pretend and lie to your friends.
Why don't you tell them you're the reason we ended.

I know deep inside you have a love for me.
And I know you wish to control what can't be.
You wish to have it your way and that's it.
And I will not take anybody's,
'S' with an 'H' and a 'T'...not me!
Nor to moods or attitudes,
From another will I commit.
Not if I know there's no benefit.

I know deep inside you feel something there,
For me...
To be revealed,
For YOU to see.

Why did you abandon my love,
And then announce it missing?
You wish to have it your way and that's it.
And I will not take anybody's,
'S' with an 'H' and a 'T'...not me!
I'm not into that kind of play.
Not if I know there's no benefit.
Or a connection to my feelings meant.

Why should I bother,
When there is no love in it for me meant.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
And I know for me there's no benefit.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
When there is no love in it for me meant.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
And I know for me there's no benefit.
Why should I bother?
Why should I bother,
When there is no love in it for me meant.

Legalise It

Legalise it, yeah, yeah,
Dont criticise it
Legalise it, yeah, yeah,
And I will advertise it
Some of them call it tambi
Some of them call it deh weed
Some call it marijuana
Some of them call it ganja
Every man got to legalise it, yeah, yeah,
Dont criticise it
Legalise it, yeah, yeah,
And I will advertise it
Singers smoke it
And players of instruments too
Legalise it, yeah, yeah
Thats the best thing you can do
Doctors smoke it, nurses smoke it
Judges smoke it, even the lawyer to
So youve got to legalise it, yeah, yeah
Dont criticise it
Legalise it, yeah, yeah,
And I will advertise it
Politicians smoke it, and their children too
Policeman smoke it, when them a steal it from you

No Residency There Is Permanent

You have a bird's eye view...
With a crowing done you do.
To boast about nonstop.
From your position...
At the top.

And you believe to keep it,
Is an ease to block.
As you remain where you are...
Secured in a safety zone,
Kept locked with eyes on stars.

But like some others,
You can hit rock bottom.
And whether you like it or not...
It is recommended,
To stop and avoid your peacocking.

No residency there is permanent.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Your residency meant...
Is not one permanent.

No residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Don't try it, do not bother.
Odds you choose will lose.
Don't be that big a fool.

You have a bird's eye view...
Don't be that big a fool.
No residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.
Someone's always there to circumvent.

Your residency meant...
Is not one permanent.

And you believe to keep it,
Is an ease to block.
As you remain where you are...
Secured in a safety zone,
Kept locked.

But no...
Residency there is permanent.
Don't try it, do not bother.
It's not fixed or grounded in cement.

Don't Bother Me

Since she's been gone
I want no one
to talk to me
It's not the same
but I'm to blame
It's plain to see

So go away and leave me alone
Don't bother me

I can't believe
that she would leave
me on my own
It's just not right
where every night
I'm all alone

I've got no time for you right now
Don't bother me

I know I'll never be the same
If I don't get her back again
because I know she'll always be
The only girl for me

But till she's here
please don't come near
just stay away
I'll let you know
when she's come home
Till that the day

Don't come around leave me alone
Don't bother me

I've got no time for you right now
Don't bother me

I know I'll never be the same
If I don't get her back again
because I know she'll always be
The only girl for me

Nip It In The Bud

From the time the lights come on,
And from dusk 'til dawn...
You're giving me the lip!

I don't need the clock to ding-a-dong,
Since my peace is gone.
And in my ear you babble lip.

Why can't you nip it in the bud, baybay.
Why can't you handle it?

Nip it in the bud.

Why can't you take a walk as I lay?
Do whatever it takes!

But don't bother me with it!

I don't need the clock to ding-a-dong,
Since my peace is gone.
And in my ear you babble lip.
Why can't you take a walk as I lay?
Do whatever it takes!
And don't bother me with it!

Why can't you nip it in the bud, baybay.
Why can't you handle it?

The Wobble

Now the Wobble went out on the roaring tide,
With a dry dog trotting along by its side;
Went over the sea - and I vow right here
That the Wobble went out with its views as clear
As ever the views of a Wobble could be;
And the Wobble went out and over the sea.

Went over the sea for to represent
The folk of our island continent;
Went over to England where dukes and lords,
And princes, and barons, and earls in hordes,
And bankers, and boodlers, and scores of Jews
Were burning to hear of Australia's views.

0, the Wobble went over to advertise
(For it was a Wobble of goodly size)
The things that we grow and the things that we breed
Our eggs and our bacon and butter and seed,
The health of our air and the worth of our earth
(For it was a Wobble of generous girth)
And it's quite a true saying, as ev'ryone knows,
A Wobble's a Wobble wherever it goes.

The Wobble went forth from its native land,
And when they espied it adrift on the Strand
All the American tourists laff't:
'Why, if that ain't the double of our old TAFT!'
And when it appeared later on in The Row,
All the duchiest duchesses viewed the show,
And they said: 'There is nothing can advertise
A country so well as a Wobble of size.'

And they asked it along for a feed and a swill,
And a talk after dinner, as Englishmen will,
And there's nothing on earth like a gabble and gobble
Appeals to a healthy and well-bred Wobble.
And when it arose at the festive board
The barons and aldermen loudly roared.
With the dukes and the generals, 'That's the bloke!
That's the famous and only Australian Joke!

'It's the Globular Jest with the Monocled Eye
That makes the Australians 1augh till they cry
The bankers and boodlers and Park Lane Jews
Wept great, glad teara in the jellies and stews;
The Lord High Chancellor spllt his vest,
While the baronets, admirals, peers and the rest
Agreed with the bishops and Irish M.P.'s
That no funnier Wobble came over the seas.

Conventions! !

I hate conventions!
I do hate conventions! !

Caged is creativity..
Irate becomes innovativity..

I hate conventions!
It's exasperating
It's frustrating
Rust-enhancing
Talent-annihilat ing

I hate it...
revolving around Black-Hole 'standards'
I hate it...
causes discrimination of being 'avant-garde'

Art is for expression
For thought-emanation
For beautiful imagination

Nothing is hideous in field of art
all unify, blend and makes...
Jigsaw puzzle's missing part!

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

First Book

OF writing many books there is no end;
And I who have written much in prose and verse
For others' uses, will write now for mine,–
Will write my story for my better self,
As when you paint your portrait for a friend,
Who keeps it in a drawer and looks at it
Long after he has ceased to love you, just
To hold together what he was and is.

I, writing thus, am still what men call young;
I have not so far left the coasts of life
To travel inland, that I cannot hear
That murmur of the outer Infinite
Which unweaned babies smile at in their sleep
When wondered at for smiling; not so far,
But still I catch my mother at her post
Beside the nursery-door, with finger up,
'Hush, hush–here's too much noise!' while her sweet eyes
Leap forward, taking part against her word
In the child's riot. Still I sit and feel
My father's slow hand, when she had left us both,
Stroke out my childish curls across his knee;
And hear Assunta's daily jest (she knew
He liked it better than a better jest)
Inquire how many golden scudi went
To make such ringlets. O my father's hand,
Stroke the poor hair down, stroke it heavily,–
Draw, press the child's head closer to thy knee!
I'm still too young, too young to sit alone.

I write. My mother was a Florentine,
Whose rare blue eyes were shut from seeing me
When scarcely I was four years old; my life,
A poor spark snatched up from a failing lamp
Which went out therefore. She was weak and frail;
She could not bear the joy of giving life–
The mother's rapture slew her. If her kiss
Had left a longer weight upon my lips,
It might have steadied the uneasy breath,
And reconciled and fraternised my soul
With the new order. As it was, indeed,
I felt a mother-want about the world,
And still went seeking, like a bleating lamb
Left out at night, in shutting up the fold,–
As restless as a nest-deserted bird
Grown chill through something being away, though what
It knows not. I, Aurora Leigh, was born
To make my father sadder, and myself
Not overjoyous, truly. Women know
The way to rear up children, (to be just,)

On the Hook

ON THE HOOK

Moonshine madness or an open book
imprinted with key code of cause, expect?
Rainbow skeins need braiding to effect
interactions worth a second look.
Anticipation keeps heart on the hook
as second-sight skeins time-twine, intersect.
Energies spontaneous direct
focus fresh to filter gobbledygook,
shed set conventions staid that overlook
essentials, causing conflicts few correct.
Filter chaff from grain, detect defect
mendacious which life's books too often cook.
Rule lure, unlured by rule's harsh line to find
music’s fountainhead with open mind...

Man's numbered days
reel out as plays
time's dance on burning deck.
Pollutions preys
as man displays
contempt for earth, his neck
feels noose which frays
trace for always
wrung D.N.A.'s strung trek.
Through cristal gaze
pierce time-trap haze
ahead remains man's wreck,
greed's interplays
ambition's phase,
pride soon falls as high-tech
meets grave delays
as ice melts weighs
on ocean currents' beck.
While fiddler plays
Rome burns - he says,
for future 'what the heck! '
man's race relays
ants run - our phase
proves evolution's fleck
which Chance amaze -
fiat lux phrase -
created just on spec.
Time's stream counts days
til dream theme pays
foreclosure with bad-check.

Error or insight worth a second look

Proxy Up Your Posse

Proxy up your posse,
I could care less what you say.
You've got a lot of moxie,
To stand in my way.

You've come to dump your junk,
To excite me to get grumpy.
But those you have corrupted...
Will soon end your luck.

Proxy up your posse,
And others you may choose.
But when your proxy posse finds out...
You'll be the fool.

Too much have I been interrupted,
By your corrupted stuff.
And it's that stuff you always make up...
I've had it!
And enough.

Go get your proxy,
To interrupt me...
With your corrupted stuff made up.
And with this posse that you get..
They'll tire of your stuff.

Proxy up your posse,
With corrupted foolish stuff...
And,
With your moxie fluffed up puffed...
You'll be the one punk'd dumped.

Proxy up!
You'll be the one punk'd dumped.
Posse up!
You'll be the one punk'd dumped.
Moxie up!
You'll be the one punk'd dumped.

Go ahead and Interrupt me,
But...
You'll be the one punk'd up.

Don't bother me,
With your punk'd up stuff.
To get me started.
You'll get dumped!

Don't bother me,

Take it easy

Sometimes it’s hard to find a simple place of mind
Try and try as hard as you can
You have wonder across this great big land
Still you can’t find so you got to

Take it easy
Dont bother with the pain and strife
For it will make you lose your life
So dont bother to get uptight
Take it easy
Remember to take it slow
Plant good seeds and they’ll grow
You’ll be happy before you know

It doesn’t matter who you are
Not everyone can be a star
So be satisfied keep your eyes open wide
Take pride in the things you do
And happiness will find you

Take it easy
Dont bother with the pain and strife
For it will make you lose your life
So dont bother to get uptight
Take it easy
Remember to take it slow
Plant good seeds and they’ll grow
You’ll be happy before you know

Sit back my friend and watch worlds collide
Life is a journey so try and enjoy the ride
You are truly blessed so fill your heart with pride
Come what may it’s your choice you decide

Sometimes the road will narrow
Still keep your eyes on the sparrow
Trod lightly in the dark
For every flame starts with a spark

Take it easy
Dont bother with the pain and strife
For it will make you lose your life
So dont bother to get uptight
Take it easy
Remember to take it slow
Plant good seeds and they’ll grow
You’ll be happy before you know

Madame de la Pompadour (Revised)

Madame de la Pompadour puts Darcy’s condescending
aunt in ‘Pride and Prejudice’, Lady Catherine de Bourgh,
to shame by being more arrogant than said worthy Lady
ever was when scolding the poor into harmony and plenty

Madame declines to come to work like we poor peasants
yet regards Mary Poppins disdainfully, judging her useful
discovery of an element of diversionary fun in boring
jobs a doddle that is wanting in every ethical respect

She’s blissfully above ethics involved in rigidly maintaining
State policy regarding personal leave, stays home indolently
claiming social life ineffable excuse to remain insensitive
of mutual obligations towards her State employer

Scolding one and all into administrative prowess and bland,
textbook translations finely tuned to dissonant registers in which
the original score was produced - while emitting clouds of smoke
that would be the envy of a Cruella DeVille planning to

make coats from Dalmatian skins; Hannibal Lecter in ‘Silence
of the Lambs’ would be proud to claim her acquaintance as
fellow cannibal and Pollyanna, who routinely finds excuses for
delinquents, failed come up with quaint innovative pretexts

making a catch-all smoke-screen valid for the Madame’s
continuous absence – only Sherlock Holmes would be able
to find dysfunctional clues particular to which mental screws
are loose in Madame’s imperious imbalanced indolence…

Did It Rain Heavily Last Night?

i fell asleep
deep and
sound like
you i felt
i was dead

did it really rain
heavily last night?
the road is muddy
and i cannot take
a walk this morning

don't bother
i can go barefoot

don't bother
i like the mud

don't bother
i like being dirty

don't bother
the sun dries them all

and the water
at the pump
shall clean them all

don't bother
i am still alive.

Pure Rationalisation for Friend Thad

A fly has been annoying me.
Persistently and constantly.
My conscience bids me not to kill.
But damn it all I think I will.

That fly will bother me no more.
I killed with a single blow.

I had endured it patiently.
At least an hour maybe more
It pestered me insistently
I had to even up the score

That fly will bother me no more.
I slew that fly intentionally.

It left me with no other course.
Perhaps in time I’ll feel remorse.
Though at the moment I feel pleased
That wretched fly is now deceased.

That fly will bother me no more
though I’m afraid my conscience will.

Sometimes we sin because we choose
although we know we should refuse
and listen to our inner voice.
That bloody fly gave me no choice.

That fly will bother me no more
I killed it quite deliberately.

I know I sinned and must atone
The fly would not leave me alone.
The fly not I caused the offence.
I think my argument makes sense.

The fly will bother me no more
Its death was more than justified.

Nice car
Where'd you get your ride?
A trophy? Badge of honor? Overcompensation?
Price tags advertise your pride
Since when did what we pay for colored cloth gauge our gravity?
Yeah you got your little world
Picture perfect, its a pearl
Now go and try and sleep in the bed you made
You should be careful what you wish for
Cause everyone of us has a devil inside
You should be careful what you wish for
Cause all I want abounds becomes you
Nice watch
Man, you got the time?
There's never enough and it always goes too slow
Yeah you got your little world
Picture perfect, its a pearl
Now go and try and sleep in the bed you made

Charles Lamb

Why Not Do It, Sir, Today?

'Why so I will, you noisy bird,
This very day I'll advertise you,
Perhaps some busy ones may prize you.
A fine-tongued parrot as was ever heard,
I'll word it thus-set forth all charms about you,
And say no family should be without you.'

Thus far a gentleman addressed a bird,
Then to his friend: 'An old procrastinator,
Sir, I am: do you wonder that I hate her?
Though she but seven words can say,
Twenty and twenty times a day
She interferes with all my dreams,
My projects, plans, and airy schemes,
Mocking my foible to my sorrow:
I'll advertise this bird to-morrow.'

To this the bird seven words did say:
'Why not do it, sir, to-day?'
