Reflection
Reflection
By: Adam M. Snow
The reflection in this cracked mirror shows only two;
my essence, my soul; it's also true.
My soul is tainted, my essence is numb;
my dreams grew dark, this is what I've become.
My reflection is cracked; I'm out of place;
my heart grows cold, I need your grace.
I'm falling apart; I've lost my way;
what else do you want me to say?
The rippling water's a mist how can that be?
Do I exist to be with thee?
I am cracked and so is my reflection;
these wounds, they show my affection.
Though I am but one in a reflection of two;
trying to find my place anew.
So let my reflection show who I am;
someone who was to be damned.
Let me be but one;
so that I may be done.
My reflections strain drops of blood;
just leave me here in the mud.
My eyes are stained, my touch is cold;
all I need is someone to hold.
My mouth is silent, my love breaks;
my body's bound, my soul aches.
I am but one in the mirror's looking glass;
looking upon my modern pass.
When will my reflection show;
the truth I do not dare to know?
My reflection is cracked; I'm out of place;
my heart grows cold, I need your grace.
I'm falling apart; I've lost my way;
I'm waiting here for the day.
My skin grew pale, did I died?
I'm here in this corner trying to hide.
My sight has gone; it's the break of dawn;
I'm going back to where it spawned.
The mirror's shattered, not my reflection;
from what I've done this is my infection.

School-Community
School is a community which surrounds you most
A place where teachers seem somewhat like ghosts
Believing that it’s a chance for new friends
But the community also introduces new ends
You believe that you yourself can never be true
To reside into acting into someone that isn't you
The school community soon becoming fake
Inside, many people's hearts begin to ache
We believe in not showing our true selves
The community telling to dig deep in ourselves
Slowly we start believing that freedom is forbidden
But does school truly want ourselves to remain hidden?
Friendships can lead to you being cut down
We sometimes wish this community wasn't around
But then we realise not to defy the real world
And that the real truth is being unfurled
This community teaches us to stand on our own feet
And without this test we shall still remain incomplete
The teachings is something that no one seems to share
In the real world these are teachings we'll need out there
School is a place where there are things we must learn
Otherwise the community outside will cause us to return
The community outside is the place we are yearning
But this community is the place we are still learning…

Reflection (rewrite and edit)
Reflection
By: Adam M. Snow
Alone am I this night of flutter,
confusion reigns, so I utter.
The air is that of a clouded dream;
so dark like that of an ordeal gleam.
I wonder where this fancy bestowed me;
in this room, damp as can be.
My vision is blurred from this smoky scene.
I see only a table, that of shallow green.
Heedfully I approach the table with ease,
Seeing afar it covered in bluish frieze.
My vision once blurred now is clearer;
that vanity table shown an olden mirror.
From the vanity table, that mirror I now held
I glanced upon myself, now greatly compelled.
A face has shown, was I yet not I,
it curses myself to die.
The image that was shown shadowed a vision:
Ye or I inter sweet derision,
o'er thy pass of insanity wake
as much of pain as I could take.
The mirror is now cracked as I am no more.
My heart beats cold as my days be hoar.
I've fallen apart and lost my way;
I am now one, alone in this blackened day.
My life's water has been turned into mist,
I, the writer who can't exist.
I am cracked in my own reflection
these wounds are the signs of my affliction.
I am one in this reflection shown two;
seeking to make my life anew.
I asked my reflection to be shown;
my truth, my past is left unknown.
I ask of thee, 'Let it be done.'
I am the writer, the lonely one
My reflections, it strains drops of blood;
now engulfing in life's lowly flood.
My eyes are stained as I lay cold,
I am weak-bound growing old.

Choose a Removal of Delusions
If you choose to save face,
With a haste...
That leaves a pacing done,
In waste.
Eliminate,
The pacing!
And do,
What it takes.
It takes reflection,
Done.
It takes reflection to overcome.
It takes reflection,
Done...
To remove delusions.
It takes reflection,
Done.
It takes reflection to overcome.
It takes reflection,
Done...
To remove delusions,
Of the one that runs.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions and include,
A completion of truth you do.
Just sit back,
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions and include,
A completion of truth you do.
Relax and...
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions and include,
A completion of truth you do.
If you choose to save face,
With a haste...

Job Proposal
The community has no immunity from the systematic demise
Of inner city enterprise
This demise creates economic development for administrations
In the midst of inner city death cries
Poverty, an opportunity for the business community to procure
Appropriations for the revitalization of bureaucratic relations
Poverty works, it is the hidden agenda that doth lurk
Anti-poverty programs comprehensive and coordinated
Jobs for social workers, counselors and bureaucrats created
While communities, neighborhoods and ghettos waited and waited
Urban Renewal 1949, Community Action Program 1964
Model Cities 1966, Community Development Block Grants 1974
Urban Development Action Grants 1977, Enterprise Zones 1980,
Empowerment Zones 1993
The community has no immunity from the systematice demise
Of inner city enterprise
Poverty and crime are permitted to murder the inner city
Without remorse, without mercy, without justice, without pity
The need for the slums sanctions traditional deterioration of
Social humanity
Representative of, representative of bureaucratic insanity
The community has no immunity from systematic demise
Of inner city enterprise

Reflections
Writers: brian holland, lamont dozier & eddie holland
Through the hollow of my tears
I see a dream thats lost
From the hurt, ooh, that you have caused
Through the mirror of my mind
Time after time I see reflections of you and me
Reflections of
The way life used to be
Reflections of
The love you took from me
Im all alone now, no love to shield me
Back to the world of that stops at reality
Oh that happiness, ah you took from me
And you left me with only memories
Through the mirror of my mind
Through all these tears Im cryin
Reflects the hurt I cant control
cause though youre gone
I keep holdin on
Through the happy times
When you were mine
As I peer through the window of lost time
Thinkin over my yesterdays
All the love I had in vain
All the love I have wasted
All the tears I have tasted, uh-huh
Through the hollow of my tears
I see a dream thats lost
From the hurt, ooh, you have caused
Evrywhere I turn, evrything I see
Reflects the love that used to be
In you I put all my love
My faith and trust
And right before my eyes
My world has turned to dust
At drop of night I sat alone and wept
Just a handful of promises
All thats left of lovin you -- whoo
Ya got the reflection
Ya got the reflection
Ya got the reflection
The way I used to be
Ya got the reflection
Ya got the reflection
Ya got the reflection
Ya got the reflection

Trapped Within My Reflection
Standing here stairing into this mirror
My reflection stairing back at me
A tear dropp falls down its cheek
Wiping my face but nothing there
The mirror begins to cloud
My reflection starts to shiver
Placing my hand on this now cold surface
My reflection slowly places his hand against mine
My reflection breathes onto the mirror
As writting appears 'HELP ME'
My mind telling me its not real
But my eyes never fail
My heart beats faster
My soul trapped within this mirror
All along, here in front of me
Stairing me in the face
My reflection banging for freedom
Seems so real as the mirror shakes
Suddenly overcome with this strange feeling
I throw my fist to the mirror
Cracks begin to form
As my reflection stands still and smiles
Shattering into a million pieces
A sensation feeling travels through my body
Looking down i see my reflection
Tainted red as blood falls
A shard of mirror stuck in my hand
A message appears

Dear Candice,
If you can't sleep:
*
Make your bedroom more comfortable, keep it cool and quiet.
*
Get up and do something else. Then, go back to bed.
*
Drink warm milk or hot water before you go to bed.
*
Take a warm bath, read a little or listen to some quiet music in the evening.
*
Get fresh air and exercise during the day, but remember: exercise before bed can keep you awake.
*
Go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
*
Don't take naps during the day.
*
Avoid coffee, tea or soft drinks after 5 p.m.
*
Don't smoke or drink alcohol in the evening—it can keep you awake.
*
Don't eat spicy food in the evening.
If you often wake up during the night to go to the bathroom and can't get back to sleep, try not to drink very much before you go to bed.
But remember: if you need to take medication at bedtime, it is best to take pills with a full glass of water.
If you feel lonely:
You can spend time with other people by:
* Becoming a volunteer at your local school, hospital, church or community centre.
* Joining a seniors' club at your local church or community centre.
* Taking a course at your local school or community centre and learning a new activity.
You can also call and talk to a different friend or family member every day. You may want to write a short letter to a friend or family member who lives far away. Sometimes, just writing to someone can help you feel that this person is with you.
If you feel anxious, tense or worried:
* Try to relax by breathing slowly and deeply.
* Take a walk.
* Choose an activity you really enjoy doing, like listening to your favourite music, and do it.
* Tell a friend, family member or your doctor how you feel.
* Join a support group so that you can talk more about your anxious feelings.
* Take a relaxation or exercise class, like yoga, at your local school or community centre.
* Take a course and learn how to do an activity, like needlework or woodworking, at your local community or seniors' centre.

God’s Reflection
God sees His own reflection
As if on the water
Prophet Mohammad the mercy of God
Is the best reflection of God’s character!
Prophet Mary the best girl of the world
Is the best reflection of God’s beauty and purity!
Prophet Jesus the soul of our Lord
Is the best reflection of God’s peace!
The Holy Koran the difference maker
Between the good and the evil
Is the best reflection of God’s favor!

Today
Once many walked behind me on
The same path while
Nobody has ever walked before me-
Every time I look behind
Someone is approaching me-
I could see my reflection in a pond nearby or perhaps, in a mirror-
Yesterday is gone and
Nobody knows what tomorrow shall bring-
I tell myself that
Whatever lurks behind is none but a
Memory of yesterday and
I must not look behind because
All that happened yesterday is none but a threat to me.
I shall keep looking at my reflection
Whether it be in a pond, a mirror or
Perhaps I may see none but a shadow-
But these are all the same.as
I have learned to believe in myself,
And to live only for today-
Yesterday shall soon be forgotten-
Shadows always disappear but
I shall always be true to my reflection-
Only because my reflection always reveals the present moment-
I have lost many a shadow along the paths I have walked and
I can only fantasize of how I would like tomorrow to be;
Some memories of yesterday
Are entertaining but beyond my ability to grasp-
Today I call a branch upon a tree-
Which I can always hold onto and perceive, while
My shadow has once again slipped through my fingertips-
That path before me is never ending-
I can only dream of what tomorrow may bring, but
Today is a blossoming flower or a rainbow on the horizon-
Today I have nothing to fear as
My reflection belongs to me alone and nobody can ever take away
What I can clearly see before me-

The reflection in the mirror
The reflection in the mirror is an unrecognisable figure,
I don't know this man, but I know his sins.
I'm getting pushed aside further and further,
where did my life end or when did it begin?
The reflection in the mirror tells me I'm lost,
wandering furiously towards the butterflies tears,
then into the lions den, my spirtis tossed,
all because of my refelections fears.
The reflection in the mirror is a brave, mighty soldier,
me? - am just a meek wounded mortal,
I used to be my aspiration, but now it's all ciphered,
and in my skin you breathe and nestle.
The reflection in the mirror shows me who I am,
but to like what I see gazing back would be a lie,
and in lifes race, to which I feel I've outswam,
this reflection will stare fiercley back at me until the day I die.

Many of the Jews who owned the homes, the apartments in the black community, we considered them bloodsuckers because they took from our community and built their community but didn't offer anything back to our community.

A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture
When a snowman winks his eyes of coal,
And from their windows children know...
Magic's in the air.
And they wish they are on Santa's list.
As children everywhere wish this.
The Christmas Trees that are trimmed with them,
Excites with the bright lights shining.
Dining festively on treats...
Will be remembered year to year.
This and every Christmas.
Joyous Eid al-Adha (The Festival of Sacrifice)
'A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture'
Merry Christmas...
'A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture'
Happy Chanukah...
'A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture'
Happy Kwanzaa...
'A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture'
And...The Best of New Years to Come,
To ALL in Celebration of United Humanity.

Rippling Waters
Rippling Waters
By: Adam M. Snow
Let the water ripples;
as our reflection is shown.
For it has tripled;
for we are all alone.
Let the rain dropp upon rippling waters;
showing us our past and our future.
For we are no longer curse;
for it shows what we once were.
Let our reflection in the ripples show;
how our love gently flow.
For our touch is also smooth;
for there is no need to lie for we know the truth.
Let the moon beam upon our reflection;
showing us there is no affliction.
Let our reflection in the ripples show;
how our love gently flow.

He Lives In You
(mark a. mancina/jay rifkin/lebohang morake)
Ingonyama nengw enamabala
Ingonyama nengw enamabala
Night and the spirit of life calling
Oh, oh, iyo mamela oh, oh, iyo
And the voice with the fear of a child answers
Oh, oh, iyo iyo mamela
Wait! theres no mountain too great
Hear these words and have faith
Oh, oh, iyo
Have faith
Hela hey mamela, hela hey mamela
Hela hey mamela, hela hey mamela
He lives in you, he lives in me (hela hey mamela)
He watches over everything we see
Into the waters, into the truth
In your reflection, he lives in you
Dream, and the voice in the wind whispers
Oh, oh, iyo, iyo mamela oh, oh, iyo
Wait! theres no mountain too great
Hear these words and have faith
Oh, oh, iyo
He lives in you, he lives in me
He watches over everything we see
Into the waters, into the truth
In your reflection, he lives in you
Ingonyama nengw enamabala
Ingonyama nengw enamabala
He lives in you, he lives in me
He watches over everything we see
Into the water, into the truth
In your reflection, he lives in you
He lives in you (oh yeah), he lives in me
He watches over everything we see

He lives, he lives, he lives in you
He watches over everything we see

The Truth
Spoken : let me tell you why I love him
Chorus:
Cause he is the truth
Said he is so real
And I love the way that he makes me feel
And if I am a reflection of him then I must be fly cause
Hes light it shines so bright I wouldnt lie
I remember the very first day I saw him
I found myself immediately intrigued by him
Its almost like I knew this man from another life
Like back then maybe I was his husband maybe he was my wife
And even,the things I dont like about him are fine with me
Cause its not hard for me to understand him cause hes so much like me
And its truly my pleasure to share his company
And I know that its gods gift to breathe
The air he breathes
Chorus:
Cause hes the truth
Said he is so real
And I love the way that he makes me feel
And if I am a reflection if him then I must be fly cause
His light it shines so bright I wouldnt lie (no)
How can the same man that makes me so mad
Do you know what he did-(spoken)
Turn right around and kiss me so soft
Girl so you know what he did-(spoken)
If he ever left me I wouldnt even be sad no
Cause theres a blessing in every lesson
And Im glad that I knew him at all
Chrous:
Cause he is the truth
Said he is so real
And I love the way that he makes me feel
And if I am a reflection of him then I must be fly cause
His light it shines so bright
I love the way he speaks
I love the way he thinks
I love the way that he treats his mama
I love that gap in between his teeth
I love him in every way that a woman can love a man
From personal to universal but most of all
Its unconditional
You know what Im taking about-(spoken)
Thats the way I feel
And I always will-(spoken)
There aint no substitute for the truth
Either it is or isnt
Cause he is the truth
You see the truth it needs no proof
Either it is or it isnt

Right Where It Belongs
See the animal in his cage that you built,
See the animal in his cage that you built
Are you sure what side you're on?
Are you sure whats natural
Better not look him too closely in the eye,
Na'now don't look too closely in the eye
Are you sure what side of the glass you are on?
Are you sure what side of the glass you're on
See the safety of the life you have built,
See the safety of the life you have built
Everything where it belongs
Everything where it belongs
Feel the hollowness inside of your heart,
See the hollowness inside of your home
And it's all...right where it belongs
And it's all... Right Where it belongs
What if everything around you,
What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
Isn't quite as it seems
What if all the world you think you know,
What if all the world you think you know
Is an elaborate dream?
Is an elaborate dream.
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?
An' If you look at your reflection
What if you could look right through the cracks,
Is that all you want to be
Would you find yourself...find yourself afraid to see?
What if you could look right through the cracks
would you find yourself... find yourself afraid to see
What if all the world's inside of your head?
Just creations of your own
What if all the worlds inside of your head
Your devils and your gods all the living and the dead
Just creations of your own
And you really oughta know
The devils and your gods all the living and the dead
And you're really all alone
You can live in this illusion
You can choose to believe
You can live in this illusion
You keep looking but you can't find the words,
You can't choose to believe
Are you hiding in the trees?
You keep looking but you can't find the words
Now you're hiding in your dreams
What if everything around you,
Isn't quite as it seems?

My Question
I can see my reflection
In my bedroom mirror-
My pupils are spinning madly about -never abating-
In the dimness of the light I have always believed that
I am being persecuted-
Death fear plagues me everyday- dreams I had as a child,
Deadly as a snake
Constricting my wrist-
Life is such a mystery, and
Death is even more mysterious-
People following me close behind and
I am being watched-
Others have said it is my imagination-
Others blame it on the moon-
This morning I was running
Running from all that I fear-
Just ordinary people to others, while to me-
Menacing and threatening-
I just keep running until
I am home, the doors locked and chained and
I am alone at peace with
The voices speaking to me inside of my mind-and
I can see my reflection in my bedroom mirror-
My pupils spinning about-
Will my thoughts ever silence?
Life is a mystery to me and perhaps more to others-
Others who watch me- day in and day out-
I can still see my reflection wherever I go-
The light gets dimmer and I find myself in the midst of the darkness, although
In the confinement of my home- so I am now at peace-
Even in bleak darkness because I am alone-
Inside the world of my thoughts I am running-
Running away from my reflection until the day I die and
While death is a mystery, one never knows when it shall happen-
I continue my solitary walk towards home- and in utmost reality-
Nobody- really knows where their home truly resides-
At the same time I question where reality resides.

Glass Cutter
We are living in times...
When reality no longer rhymes
With delusional speeches,
Proclaiming things are doing just fine!
WANTED:
Eyes to meet mine.
Opened wide and accepting,
The closeness of my reflection.
We are living every moment tensed.
Convinced we are threatened,
By terrorist events!
Has anyone looked out of their windows?
Does anything click to make sense?
'I'm ready to get real with so much with one person! '
You 'feelin' me?
Act like you know!
Stop this interview process.
'I'm ready to get real with so much with one person! '
You 'feelin' me?
Act like you know!
Stop this interview process.
I know of no other way to 'say' commitment.
It has to be shown in a way I can see it!
WANTED:
Eyes to meet mine.
Opened wide and accepting,
The closeness of my reflection.
When someone gets that close to me
For a closeness of a reflection of me I see...
To become closer still to be here with me,
I will stop my search.
Until then...
Relax your pretensions.
I am sure you are not seeking a glass cutter?
Is there any other 'thing' you'd like to discuss?
We are living in times...
When reality no longer rhymes
With delusional speeches,
Proclaiming things are doing just fine!
Somehow the road to glory...
Has been a deceptive tool used!

The Universal Daydream Nights
The Moons Rise In Your Eyes
A Dual Moon Reflection As I Look
To You I See Two Of What...
When One With You Is Awe When Us
Could There Ever Be A Love So Natural
As Seen From You... The Stereoscopic
Of A Celestial Body Up Above
But Closer Still As I Look To You
As Heavenly A Body As The Moon
But A Reflection-Hope Closer To Hold
The Heavens In My Arms In Reaching Out
A Haven In My Arms In Touching You
Truth To Heaven In A Broken Heart
When Looking To The Skies Above
You See Afar Away Earth's Only Moon
While I Look Closer In At You
A Starry Eyed Reflection Into Moons
In Your Duo-Pair Of Eyes You See The Moon
But I Can Always See The Two In You
The Only Moon Reflected In Both Eyes
Where Creation Of One Into Two
Can Only Exist As I Look To You
While Our Eyes Can Meet But Not Yet Touch
Long Enough For Me To Hold You In My Heart
A Mutual Transfixation That Can Not Be
For As Long A Duration That There Is A Night
When Afar Away We Are Alone
Not Holding Each Other As Transfixed
Like You With Moon And The Divide Without
As Afar Away We Are Within
Is You To See The Up Above
And I To See You From Afar Away So Near
Enchantment Transfixes You To The Moon
While I As Equally More Enchanted Still
Of You In Person In My Eyes
That All In Eventual Learn The True Celestial Close
Where There Are More Heavens Here Than What's Above
While Here On Level Ground Where Some Can't Feel
The Impossible Truth To Know When Two Can Grow
To Exist As Reflection In Both Our Eyes
As You Look Up... I Look To You
As I Yearn To The Eventual Look To Me
As Heaven Can Only Exist In The Immediacy Of You
Or Up Into Lunar Stardust We Rise
In Hand In Hand, We Exist As One
As We Swim Together In Our Pupil Oceanus Love'
Lunar As They Are At Night
And Eclipsing As They Are To Sun
Like A Sea Of Love Over Years I've Lost
And Found Then Lost And Then Found Again
