The Impossible and the Possible.

Poem Title: The struggle to overcome the difference between the Impossible and the Possible
Acrostic Poem 166a

The struggle to overcome the difference between the impossible and the possible.
Hope being the word that springs to mind to link these two opposites to attract.
Eternally wandering Cyber space side by side hooking onto every adjective or verb.

Seeking Impossible causes to take away excuses and make them once more possible.
To overcome the bigoted, blind, self centred mind set of the un-believers.
Reaching corners of the mind that you of Christian or Muslim Faith never thought existed.
Unless you have spent all your life on earth in a cocoon not within real time.
God has chosen you to teach the differences between the Impossible and Possible.
Given that if at first you don`t succeed... You`ll get it right next time.
Love for all your Fellow Men and Women may seem Impossible. Trust me it`s the only way.
Every possibility, has been at sometime within it`s life...seemed Impossible.

Take the making of a silk purse from one sows ear. If you will
Or the finding of a needle in a hay-stack or the abolition of third world hunger and the like.

Or the creation of the Love of Nation unto Nation... The end to all War or domination
Very nearly every single problem has a solution, indeed sometimes many solutions do exist.
Electricity, how unbelievable to the even the wisest man once upon a time thought “impossible
Radio waves converted into the sweetest sounds ever heard by mortal Man
Communication instant Chat across the Globe in real time ….one to one...”Impossible
Of loving commitment between different creeds and cultures without ever meeting possible.
Mighty soon God will look down on earth and see the two words rolled into one!
Entreating the Impossible always Possible and the Possible never Impossible.

The struggle to overcome the difference between the Impossible and the Possible.
Holy Holy Holy, Eureka, Glory be! We are getting there, I do believe I really do believe.
Eternally where two Poets or more can get together to speak as one, in one Like-minded.

Difference between the Impossible and the Possible are reduced to nil
In practical terms every metaphor, rhetoric, noun or verb or adjective can be polished.
From the most impossible dream into the possible reality of the finest prose ever written.
From the dullest of dyslectic mutterings to the most flowery of sweetest love songs.
Endlessly tripping from the lips of stranger meeting stranger, wisest verse ever heard.
Re-acting opposites attracting the Impossible with the Possible. Judge for yourselves.
Enacting with the humble Poet that composed this message. You may never chance to meet.
Never in a Thousand years of trying, these chances, sure don't happen every day.
Catch the Impossible catch on the very boundaries of your mind to make a difference.
Every chance that one single catch will win your team the Game.

By making then the Impossible Possible, you have changed in one action the life you have.
Every Impossible thought can then be dismissed from your mind possibly forever
The sun to leave the sky, the rivers all run dry, a baby not to cry ….Impossible.
We have that song within our mind, which keeps our feet upon the ground
Every now and then to be able to accept that all things are not Possible.

It's Impossible

It's impossible to tell the sun to leave the sky,
It's just impossible.
It's impossible to ask a baby not to cry,
It's just impossible.
Can I hold you closer to me
And not feel you going through me,
But the second that I never think of you?
Oh, how impossible.
Can the ocean keep from rushing to the shore?
It's just impossible.
If I had you could I ever ask for more?
It's just impossible.
And tomorrow, should you ask me for the world
Somehow I'd get it, I would sell my very soul
And not regret it for to live without your love
Is just impossible
Can the ocean keep from rushing to the shore?
It's just impossible.
If I had you could I ever ask for more?
It's just impossible.
And tomorrow, should you ask me for the world
Somehow I'd get it, I would sell my very soul
And not regret it for to live without your love
Is just impossible
Oh impossible,
Impossible.
Impossible.

The Impossible

What seems to be impossible, is realized through the God of Israel,
By God, all things are possible, while His purpose, God does fulfill.
Christ is Immanuel, God with us, and in The Lord, we place our trust,
Though men are but of dust, He does the impossible in men like us.

All the impossible for God above, is nothing for His Awesome Love,
Guiding us in times deemed tough; showing all what faith’s made of.
The impossible comes many ways, as we live out these earthly days,
But as the task, to Him we raise, He turns that impossible into praise.

The things in life that men pursue, Christ, in Heaven above foreknew,
All difficult things we need to do, can and will be completed through,
The authority of the Living God, who reigns above this earth we trod,
As God guides us with staff and rod, as we travel on the earthly sod.

Even situations that we can face, would be impossible without Grace,
As we look back to time and place, God’s Hand in lives we can trace.
His hand of Grace reaches down, where the impossible can be found,
With a love that’s sure and sound, providing a Grace that will abound.

Nothing is impossible for Him, who sent His Son to die for all our sin,
Using our faith God puts within, He helps us through the time we’re in.
All the impossible men conceive, God works out in those who believe,
So The Spirit in others may conceive, desire that His Son they receive.

Impossible

If they had ever told me how sweet a kiss could be
I would have said impossible, impossible for me
And if they said Id find you beyond the rainbows end
I would have said impossible, impossible, my friend
To dream about what might have been
Is strange enough for me
But now it seems Im living in
A dream too beautiful to be
If they had said a moonbeam could calm a stormy sea
I would have said impossible but now at last I see
That nothing is impossible if you are here with me

I would have said impossible but now at last I see
That nothing is impossible if you are here with me

Information Overload

Many suffer from,
Information overload.
And nothing can be done,
By information overload.
Too many getting numb,
With information overload.
And not overcoming,
That information overload...
Can be,
Impossible to see achieved.

Simple conversation is...
Impossible to have it achieved.
Eye contact is...
Impossible to have it achieved.
An understanding is...
Impossible to have it achieved.
People sincere is...
Impossible to have it achieved!

Many suffer from,
Information overload.
And nothing can be done,
By information overload.

With many running away...
From wanting purpose.
And many running away...
From honesty!
And many running away...
From keeping focus.
And many running away...
From peace believed,
To wish it could be possible.

With many running away...
From wanting purpose.
And many running away...
From honesty!
And many running away...
From keeping focus.
And many,
Are running away...
From peace believed.
To wish it could be possible.

Impossible to have it achieved.
An understanding is...
Impossible to have it achieved.

Impossible To Tell

to Robert Hass and in memory of Elliot Gilbert

Slow dulcimer, gavotte and bow, in autumn,
Bashõ and his friends go out to view the moon;
In summer, gasoline rainbow in the gutter,

The secret courtesy that courses like ichor
Through the old form of the rude, full-scale joke,
Impossible to tell in writing. 'Bashõ'

He named himself, 'Banana Tree': banana
After the plant some grateful students gave him,
Maybe in appreciation of his guidance

Threading a long night through the rules and channels
Of their collaborative linking-poem
Scored in their teacher's heart: live, rigid, fluid

Like passages etched in a microscopic cicuit.
Elliot had in his memory so many jokes
They seemed to breed like microbes in a culture

Inside his brain, one so much making another
It was impossible to tell them all:
In the court-culture of jokes, a top banana.

Imagine a court of one: the queen a young mother,
Unhappy, alone all day with her firstborn child
And her new baby in a squalid apartment

Of too few rooms, a different race from her neighbors.
She tells the child she's going to kill herself.
She broods, she rages. Hoping to distract her,

The child cuts capers, he sings, he does imitations
Of different people in the building, he jokes,
He feels if he keeps her alive until the father

Gets home from work, they'll be okay till morning.
It's laughter versus the bedroom and the pills.
What is he in his efforts but a courtier?

Impossible to tell his whole delusion.
In the first months when I had moved back East
From California and had to leave a message

On Bob's machine, I used to make a habit
Of telling the tape a joke; and part-way through,
I would pretend that I forgot the punchline,

The Cenci : A Tragedy In Five Acts

DRAMATIS PERSONÆ

Count Francesco Cenci.
Giacomo, his Son.
Bernardo, his Son.
Cardinal Camillo.
Orsino, a Prelate.
Savella, the Pope's Legate.
Olimpio, Assassin.
Marzio, Assassin.
Andrea, Servant to Cenci.
Nobles, Judges, Guards, Servants.
Lucretia, Wife of Cenci, and Step-mother of his children.
Beatrice, his Daughter.

The Scene lies principally in Rome, but changes during the Fourth Act to Petrella, a castle among the Apulian Apennines.
Time. During the Pontificate of Clement VIII.

ACT I

Scene I.
-An Apartment in the Cenci Palace.
Enter Count Cenci, and Cardinal Camillo.

Camillo.
That matter of the murder is hushed up
If you consent to yield his Holiness
Your fief that lies beyond the Pincian gate.-
It needed all my interest in the conclave
To bend him to this point: he said that you
Bought perilous impunity with your gold;
That crimes like yours if once or twice compounded
Enriched the Church, and respited from hell
An erring soul which might repent and live:-
But that the glory and the interest
Of the high throne he fills, little consist
With making it a daily mart of guilt
As manifold and hideous as the deeds
Which you scarce hide from men's revolted eyes.

Cenci.
The third of my possessions-let it go!
Ay, I once heard the nephew of the Pope
Had sent his architect to view the ground,
Meaning to build a villa on my vines
The next time I compounded with his uncle:
I little thought he should outwit me so!

Fifth Book

AURORA LEIGH, be humble. Shall I hope
To speak my poems in mysterious tune
With man and nature,–with the lava-lymph
That trickles from successive galaxies
Still drop by drop adown the finger of God,
In still new worlds?–with summer-days in this,
That scarce dare breathe, they are so beautiful?–
With spring's delicious trouble in the ground
Tormented by the quickened blood of roots.
And softly pricked by golden crocus-sheaves
In token of the harvest-time of flowers?–
With winters and with autumns,–and beyond,
With the human heart's large seasons,–when it hopes
And fears, joys, grieves, and loves?–with all that strain
Of sexual passion, which devours the flesh
In a sacrament of souls? with mother's breasts,
Which, round the new made creatures hanging there,
Throb luminous and harmonious like pure spheres?–
With multitudinous life, and finally
With the great out-goings of ecstatic souls,
Who, in a rush of too long prisoned flame,
Their radiant faces upward, burn away
This dark of the body, issuing on a world
Beyond our mortal?–can I speak my verse
So plainly in tune to these things and the rest,
That men shall feel it catch them on the quick,
As having the same warrant over them
To hold and move them, if they will or no,
Alike imperious as the primal rhythm
Of that theurgic nature? I must fail,
Who fail at the beginning to hold and move
One man,–and he my cousin, and he my friend,
And he born tender, made intelligent,
Inclined to ponder the precipitous sides
Of difficult questions; yet, obtuse to me,–
Of me, incurious! likes me very well,
And wishes me a paradise of good,
Good looks, good means, and good digestion!–ay,
But otherwise evades me, puts me off
With kindness, with a tolerant gentleness,–
Too light a book for a grave man's reading! Go,
Aurora Leigh: be humble.
There it is;
We women are too apt to look to one,
Which proves a certain impotence in art.
We strain our natures at doing something great,
Far less because it's something great to do,
Than, haply, that we, so, commend ourselves
As being not small, and more appreciable
To some one friend. We must have mediators

My God Is Special

I am physically blind...
But oh God, thanks be to you for your spiritual sight.
I am physically deaf...
But oh God, thanks be to you that
Iam able to hear your sweet, sweet voice.
I physically cannot speak...
But God, thaks be to you for knowing
And understanding all my needs.
I physically cannot walk...
But oh God, thanks be to you for leading
And guiding me in your righteous way.
Thanks be to you oh God, for letting me know
That I am special.
Because you are special to me.

Impossible Dreamer

The street was loud
From an angry crowd and
I thought of you, I thought of you
Dreamer
Land of the free
No hungry bellies
Impossible
Impossible dreamer
In the darkest part of the night
Blue shadows conjure you
And in the brightest height of the daylight
Sometimes I blink cause I think I see you
Dreaming like you do
The moon was bright
Like day for night
And I thought of you
I thought of you
Dreamer
No acid rain
Love without pain
Impossible
Impossible dreamer
In the darkest part of the night
Blue shadows conjure you
And at the brightest height of the daylight
Sometimes I blink cause I think I see you
Dreaming like you do
The room was dark
And full of sharks
And I thought of you
I thought of you
Dreamer
Give peace a chance
Dont think just dance
Impossible
Impossible dreamer
In the darkest part of the night
Blue shadows conjure you
And at the brightest height of the daylight
Sometimes I blink cause I think I see you
Dreaming like you do

Irresistible

Everytime I try to leave
Something pulls me back baby
Tried and tried to let you go
But its just impossible
Everytime we say goodbye
Bitter tear drops fill my eyes
Wish I didnt need you so
But youre irresistible
I dont wanna lose you to somebody else
But I cant go on contradicting myself
I know that its pointless to keep hodling on
But something inside tells me youre where I belong
Everytime I try to leave
Something pulls me back baby
Tried and tried to let you go
But its just impossible
Everytime we say goodbye
Bitter tear drops fill my eyes
Wish I didnt need you so
But youre irresistible
I know that its unrealistic to think
That things will get better
Between you and me
Cause time after time
You just shatter my heart
But when Im without you
I feel so torn apart
Everytime I try to leave
Something pulls me back baby
Tried and tried to let you go
But its just impossible
Everytime we say goodbye
Bitter tear drops fill my eyes
Wish I didnt need you so
But youre irresistible
Boy
I wish
That I didnt
Love you so
(oh oo oh oo oh oh)
I try to tell you no
But youre irresistible
(oh oo oh oo whoah oh)
See I only want it to be like it was
When we got together and first fell in love
Sometimes its like Im addicted to you
This loves so consuming
I dont know what to do
Everytime I try to leave
Something pulls me back baby

What Did Neil Armstrong Find?

‘Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon, ...’

What did Neil Armstrong find?
When he became the first man to
Walk upon the surface of the moon?

Cow bones. Asphyxiation. No oxygen.
To jump so high so high to die lonely alone.
Dreamers must always chase impossible dreams.
Dreams like pie in the sky gold at end of rainbow.

To jump to the moon
is easier than
climbing to the starry sun.

We burned in the climb
burned when getting
close to the starry sun.

We did not use feathers
attached with wax
wax did not melt
releasing feather by feather.

We did not fall from
flying to close to the sun
we did not crash and burn
plummeting downward to die.

We climbed so close to the sun
we burned burned into spontaneous
combustion body engulfed inflamed
ash pyre rain rebirth as new phoenix.

Dreams dreams are mirror of immortality
dreams dreams of aspiring impossibility
dreams refusing to die perpetually renewing
dream spun eventually into impossible attainment.

God inspired dreams mirror origin creator
flesh bound woven in clay seeks original origin.
God the great eternal scientist, humanity studies
your creation, mimics discoveries written observed.

‘The little dog laughed to see such sport, ...’

The Gift Of Harun Al-Rashid

KUSTA BEN LUKA is my name, I write
To Abd Al-Rabban; fellow-roysterer once,
Now the good Caliph's learned Treasurer,
And for no ear but his.
Carry this letter
Through the great gallery of the Treasure House
Where banners of the Caliphs hang, night-coloured
But brilliant as the night's embroidery,
And wait war's music; pass the little gallery;
Pass books of learning from Byzantium
Written in gold upon a purple stain,
And pause at last, I was about to say,
At the great book of Sappho's song; but no,
For should you leave my letter there, a boy's
Love-lorn, indifferent hands might come upon it
And let it fall unnoticed to the floor.
pause at the Treatise of parmenides
And hide it there, for Caiphs to world's end
Must keep that perfect, as they keep her song,
So great its fame.
When fitting time has passed
The parchment will disclose to some learned man
A mystery that else had found no chronicler
But the wild Bedouin. Though I approve
Those wanderers that welcomed in their tents
What great Harun Al-Rashid, occupied
With Persian embassy or Grecian war,
Must needs neglect, I cannot hide the truth
That wandering in a desert, featureless
As air under a wing, can give birds' wit.
In after time they will speak much of me
And speak but fantasy. Recall the year
When our beloved Caliph put to death
His Vizir Jaffer for an unknown reason:
'If but the shirt upon my body knew it
I'd tear it off and throw it in the fire.'
That speech was all that the town knew, but he
Seemed for a while to have grown young again;
Seemed so on purpose, muttered Jaffer's friends,
That none might know that he was conscience-struck --
But that s a traitor's thought. Enough for me
That in the early summer of the year
The mightiest of the princes of the world
Came to the least considered of his courtiers;
Sat down upon the fountain's marble edge,
One hand amid the goldfish in the pool;
And thereupon a colloquy took place
That I commend to all the chroniclers
To show how violent great hearts can lose
Their bitterness and find the honeycomb.

A Voice From The Factories

WHEN fallen man from Paradise was driven,
Forth to a world of labour, death, and care;
Still, of his native Eden, bounteous Heaven
Resolved one brief memorial to spare,
And gave his offspring an imperfect share
Of that lost happiness, amid decay;
Making their first approach to life seem fair,
And giving, for the Eden past away,
CHILDHOOD, the weary life's long happy holyday.
II.

Sacred to heavenly peace, those years remain!
And when with clouds their dawn is overcast,
Unnatural seem the sorrow and the pain
(Which rosy joy flies forth to banish fast,
Because that season's sadness may not last).
Light is their grief! a word of fondness cheers
The unhaunted heart; the shadow glideth past;
Unknown to them the weight of boding fears,
And soft as dew on flowers their bright, ungrieving tears.
III.

See the Stage-Wonder (taught to earn its bread
By the exertion of an infant skill),
Forsake the wholesome slumbers of its bed,
And mime, obedient to the public will.
Where is the heart so cold that does not thrill
With a vexatious sympathy, to see
That child prepare to play its part, and still
With simulated airs of gaiety
Rise to the dangerous rope, and bend the supple knee?
IV.

Painted and spangled, trembling there it stands,
Glances below for friend or father's face,
Then lifts its small round arms and feeble hands
With the taught movements of an artist's grace:
Leaves its uncertain gilded resting-place--
Springs lightly as the elastic cord gives way--
And runs along with scarce perceptible pace--
Like a bright bird upon a waving spray,
Fluttering and sinking still, whene'er the branches play.
V.

Now watch! a joyless and distorted smile
Its innocent lips assume; (the dancer's leer!)
Conquering its terror for a little while:
Then lets the TRUTH OF INFANCY appear,
And with a stare of numbed and childish fear
Looks sadly towards the audience come to gaze

(Africa poems) Unnatural frontiers

Unnatural frontiers
These artificial borders
They cut the womb of the mother
Land into these disjointed parts
Did you hear what they say?
Here too many failed states
Have mushroomed! Dictators
Like pests are killing the people
Africa! The oracles are not content!
These artificial borders and these
Unnatural frontiers were not there
In the beginning Oh Mother Africa!
What is South Africa? How dare you
Name a country after a direction?
Mind! There is a long stretch of wire
Some colonialist administrator put it
There on purpose now how can you, Oh Africa?
Tell the whole world that is your border?
The world was free to roam in unhindered!
What's so equatorial about Equatorial Guinea?
Now follow me and we're drunk my lord and there
He bares his thick canine teeth in his thick lips
The burly official slaps the hated passport before
Us and it'll cost us a small fortune my brother
And we were planning to drink till the morning
Now look what their unnatural frontiers have done
You're house arrested in a non functioning joke
Of a state I can't come to you my darling
We're told that we're the founder members of....
Wait for it! The African Union! And you can look but
You'll never find the African Union when it's needed
And the European Union and NATO must do the dirty
Work for them and then they'll come our leaders
At the press conference to cry the crocodile tears
And bemoan the fact that white media barons have
Stolen the lime light under their noses....
Mister Secretary General...do me a favor!
Bring back my Africa! My darling wants to roam the
Continent she's tired of the passport the visa
Is controlling her life she wants to be free mister
Expel the whole Africa bloc from the U.N.O take
The slave's yoke of the artificial borders and fake
Frontiers and set us free to roam our continent
In peace without the interference of anybody
As it was in the past of our father's fathers

Let Me Kiss You

Theres a place in the sun, For anyone who has the will to chase one
And I think I've found mine, Yes, I do believe I have found mine, so
Close your eyes, And think of someone, You physically admire
And let me kiss you, Let me kiss you
I've zig-zagged all over America, And I cannot find a safety haven
Say, would you let me cry, On your shoulder
I've heard that youll will try anything twice
Close your eyes, And think of someone, You physically admire,
And let me kiss you, Let me kiss you
But then you open your eyes, And you see someone, That you physically despise
But my heart is open
My heart is open to you

Activated! And Applied Swiftly

It is important to keep,
Mentally and physically disciplined.
An active mind and body,
Aren't so fast to wear down.
Especially if you have annoying little kids,
Getting on your nerves and running around.
Or grandchildren.
Although loved!

But isn't it nice...
To be able to leave town?
To breathe fresh air!
Listening to the sound of silence.
And as often as available cash found,
Will allow.
Affording a recess,
From bouts of shouting and names yelled.

Or overhearing whispers murmured,
From someone who wishes you to go to hell!

'I heard that!
And 'if' I hear those words from you again,
You're going to get it!
Laugh if you want to.
But I'll provoke more than a joke on you.
Do you hear me?
Do you HEAR ME? '

It is important to keep,
Mentally and physically disciplined.
To prevent agonizing wishes...
Picked from distant memories.
With no need to reminsce.
Especially when days of hesitation rush,
To rest upon aging thighs and butts!
Finding you have sat too long,
Sitting and getting out of touch!

And aching with sore muscles...
Feeling a need to curse and often cuss.
When you could have spent a few minutes a day...
Moving your feet to a rhythm kept.
And obeying receptively,
A fast paced beat for moments of sweating.
Knowing how and when to use the stamina,
In emergencies when needed.

It is important to keep,
Mentally and physically disciplined.

Peace Of Mind

I gotta find peace of mind... I gotta find peace of mind
He says it's impossible...But I know it's possible
He says it's impossible... But I know it's possible
He says there's no me without him... Please help me forget about him
He takes all my energy... Trapped in my memory
Constantly holding me... Constantly holding me
I need to tell you all... All the pain he's caused mmmmm
I need to tell you I'm... I'm undone because mmmmmm
He says it's impossible... But I know it's possible
He says it's impossible without him... But I know it's possible
To finally be in love... And know the real meaning of
A lasting relationship... Not based on ownership
I trust every part of u.... Cause all that you say you do
You love me despite myself
Sometimes I... I fight myself
I just can't believe that you.... Would have anything to do
With someone so insecure... Someone so immature
Ohh you inspire me, to be the higher me
You make my desire pure... You make my desire pure
Just tell me what to say... I can't find the words to say
Please don't be mad with me... I have no identity
All that I've known is gone... All I was building on
I wanna walk wit you, how do I talk to you?
Touch my mouth with your hands... Touch my mouth with your hands
Oh I wanna understand the meaning of your embrace
I know now I have to face... The temptations of my past
Please don't let me disgrace... where my devotion lays
Now that I know the thruth... Now that it's no excuse
Keeping me from your love... What was I thinking of
Holding me from your love... What was I thinking of
You are my peace of mind... That old me is left behind
You are my peace of mind... That old me is left behind
He says it's impossible... but I know it's possible
He says it's improbable... but I know it's tangible
He says it's not grabbable... but I know it's haveable
Cause anything's possible... Cause anything is possible
Please come free my mind... Please come feed my mind
Can you see my mind ohh... Won't you come free my mind
Oh I know it's possible
Anything, anything, anything, anything, anything.... yeah
Anything, anything, anything, anything, .... yeah
Anything, anything, anything, anything, anything.... yeah
Oh, free... free, free, free your mind
Free... free your mind
Free.. free your mind
Free free free free your mind
Oh, it's so possible... Oh, it's so possible
I'm telling you it's possible... I'm telling you it's possible
Free, free, free....... free, get free now (repeat)
Your my peace of mind... That old me is left behind
