What If

what if Jesus and Magdalene
were lovers... and their
descendants were marching
for peace and equal rights
somewhere in the Mid-East?

and what if nuclear power
is a cancer... disguised as
progress... that sneaks up
on and devours the living?

what if money is a drug?
an addiction that cant be cured....
that drives a man to leave his
family, and all that he believes in,
to find a fix?

what if Aids and other new diseases
are just germ warfare... the tools
of the elite to weed out the poor?

what if the concept of 'God'
is a mask mankind wears to
hide from its own responsibilities....

what if holy wars are just murder,
and if liberation is just another
term for your new master!

what if poverty and ignorance
were the two greatest weapons
in the struggle for survival....

and finally, what if
666 is just the symbol
for the oil machine....

whom we worship by our actions
if not by our intent.......
'in God we trust'...
gasoline prices fell today!

We Are Indebted to Them Up to Our Eyelids

...Keep it cleansed, fresh and moisterized! ...

And now back to further news announcements:
The state of the economy worsens.
The higher the skies...
The lower the national deficit!
Crime on all levels of government,
Has ravished the confidence of the people.
Thousands are losing pensions, jobs
And patience.

Oil and gasoline prices...
Although leveling,
Are still higher than they have been in decades.
Food poisoning?
Well...
If imported peppers don't kill you,
Saturated fats will.

Racism is on everyone's lips.
Foreclosures are being issued...
As quickly as pink slips.
And people have become outraged!

Question?
'Are whites right?
Should blacks be kept back?
And what about those of other hues?
The ones we purchase our tainted toys,
Clothes and shoes?
The ones who make our cars...
Liquor we drink and candy bars?
And the Chinese?
We are indebted to them up to our eyelids...
Well passed our knees!
Red is not the only color,
Of their communist flag!

And,
Out of our affliliate location...
This just in!
From Washington, D.C.
We have a news flash! A bulletin!
Is Barack Obama...
Masquerading as a Negro?
Is he black enough?
How can we deepen those attacks?
McCain and others on the right want to know!

This and other very important news reports,
Right after a word from our sponsor...
Stiff Lifter!

Are you 'not' enjoying quality sex?
Are you still faking those orgasms?
Climax...

'Timmy, jr.?
Go to your room immediately.
You are not to listen to such garbage.
Go to your room immediately!
Play with the new video game I bought for you,
The other day...
'Kill the Odd Ones! '
You said you really like it! '

~Okay, mom.
But daddy is still smoking crack in there.
And you told me not to disturb him,
Especially when he is 'meditating'.~

These Prices Paid

For centuries...
Haven't we've been tricked into believing,
'Something' of a higher intelligence
Is there to relieve us of our repeated sins...
With compassion?
And observances have agreed!
There is!
It is unanimous.
It is called...
Awareness of Ignorance Displayed.
It 'would' seem
Once that was known and respected,
A prevention of repeated suffering sinks in!

Remember the 'old' days?
When such revered biblical sayings such as...
'Spare the rod and spoil the child' was effective?
My mother seemed to have known that one quite well!
And that message was delivered to my sister and I.
We had no problem understanding my mother's interpretation.

Since then...
We as a society have allowed 'educated' jerks
To become spokesmen for God!
Some will even brag about their PHd's from pulpits!
Creating their own committees of representation,
To indoctrinate congregations.

And people giving birth today,
Are afraid of the monsters they have raised...
By 'quiet' time techniques and forms of punishment used,
To ease tensions!
'Go to your room! '
With computer, DVD's, video games, cellphones with video capabilities.
Wide screen TV's and supplied snacks...
I would have loved to have been 'that' punished!

These 'kids' are groomed to pack a weapon in backpacks,
Before cracking open a book!
To make sure they are prepared to exchange evilness!
And their parents are packing churches...
Praying to becomed freed of their own deeds and actions!

Wouldn't it be easier and quicker,
If they all hired psychiatrists that were magicians?
Why should we all continue to pay
For their blatant stupidity displayed!
At today's escalating prices!
Bob Barker retired from the Price Is Right!
He obviously knew something we didn't!
These prices paid...
Are getting excessively wrong!

I ask again!
Why should we all continue to pay,
For other folks' blatant stupidity displayed?
Now...
That's the question I would like God to answer!

No tithing I have 'ever' done,
Has lowered my taxes!
Nor decreased the abundance of incompetence...
Everyone seems to be gloating they have,
As if it is a fashion statement!
But...
However and furthermore,
I know my participation during the 'money walk' on Sundays...
Has assisted in the purchase of a Mercedes,
Or two!
And a few silk suits!

Predicament

God -awful prices are in the store.
Hardly recognize them anymore.
Yet, people are buyin'.
Puttin' charges on a card
is gettin' mighty hard.
Don't think about the future
Must eat today.
When the future gets here
there'll be hell to pay.

In 1973, America imported 30 percent of its crude oil needs. Today, that number has doubled to more than 60 percent. Gas prices are as high as they are now in part because we've had no comprehensive national energy policy for the past few decades.

Original You Are

People can judge your outer form
but that is not who you really are
you are unique, not in the norm.
Children are taught to be the same
well God didn't make us that way.
So celebrate who you are today
be proud you are original and
special no matter what they say.

Come Out, Come Out Wherever You Are

As a 'precocious' child,
And extremely curious...
The playing of hide and seek,
Was fun until it wasn't.
Yes...
I use to peek to see,
Where the others would hide first...
Before I found a place impossible,
To be found.
Then I would leave the neighborhood,
To walk around and adventure.

And when I returned,
Those same kids would be hiding.
To be sought.

Today?
Those same 'kids' are hiding,
To be sought.
And there is something about that,
I no longer find amusing.

Come out, come out wherever you are.
Your children have become crazed.

Those Once Outraged Are Amongst Those Crazed

The only time familiar faces become missed,
Is when words spoken thought ridiculous...
Were from them direct and sugar free.
To have outraged those to a frenzy.
And today?
Those once outraged are amongst those crazed.

Now...
Those very same honest and direct people,
Are remembered to be reminisced...
As those who spoke with words wished to hear again.
Since time has past to make what had been said 'then'...
More meaningful than ever to those comprehending.

Compared to the nonsense many accept today...
As a way to communicate their sanity,
From wherever it was purchased...
To label it as such!
The minds today are detached!
And to never come back from where they are.

Natural Charm

Olivia, my darling Olivia,
my young voluptuous queen,
displaying your many assets
on the television screen.

I mean those natural assets,
your hair, your eyes, your smile,
viewers are attracted to programme three
and linger there awhile.

But time is taking quite a toll
on my darling 'work of art'...
now you are pictured on programme four
sliding down the chart!

O Olivia, liken to Sylvia,
I pray you'll not slide again,
a backward step to programme five
could bring your fans much pain.

I do believe you've lost the sparkle
and the beautiful radiant glow;
but still you possess a ladylike charm
and your intellect is 'raring to go'

You will make a come-back
that I know...
and today I give you a rose.

Kite Surfers

In Bournemouth, it’s a bright and breezy autumnal day.
Kite surfers are out in force, zooming around the bay.
We stand there and watch them for a short while,
Admiring their talent and their individual styles.
Lifted by the strong wind, into the air, they rise a few feet.
That feeling of exhilaration, I can imagine, can’t be beat.
Their kites lift them way up high towards the blue sky,
And, for a few precious moments, they actually fly!
For them, today, the weather conditions are just right.
And their amazing antics make a truly awesome sight.
Once back down on the water, they soon pick up speed;
Their coloured canopies, filled with air, taking the lead.
They launch themselves from the next big wave.
To the natural elements, they are all but a slave.
Feeling decidedly chilly, we are soon on our way;
Leaving the kite surfers behind, to frolic and play.

The Vale Of Peace

The Vale of Peace
It is overcast in the valley and rounded hills, luckily there
is no coal here no slag heaps, disfigure the quit scenery;
this is quieter now than before, people only drive when
they must, in time of austerity and high gasoline prices.
The wind is acerbic and in no mood to be nice, although
it blows from the south, which often gives a lovely aroma
of milkmaids breaths, contented, cream drinking cats and
engaging, giggly love amongst hey stacks.

The shepherd and his flock cross the road, he has a dark
outdoor face, craggy as a volcanic mountain and it carries
a melancholic mien of one, who spends much time alone,
and his sheep look as terracotta figures in fading light.
Wooly -backs are not known for being conversationalists;
except for bleating now and then they eat. I turn also this
is not a day for walks, better lit the fire be contemplative
and gently subdued on this overcast day.

Still Ill

I decree today that life
Is simply taking and not giving
England is mine and it owes me a living
Ask me why, and i'll spit in your eye
Oh, ask me why, and i'll spit in your eye
But we cannot cling to the old dreams anymore
No, we cannot cling to those dreams
Does the body rule the mind
Or does the mind rule the body ?
I dunno...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although i ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am i still ill ?
Oh ...
Am i still ill ?
Oh ...
Does the body rule the mind
Or does the mind rule the body ?
I dunno...
Ask me why, and i'll die
Oh, ask me why, and i'll die
And if you must, go to work - tomorrow
Well, if i were you i really wouldn't bother
For there are brighter sides to life
And i should know, because i've seen them
But not often ...
Under the iron bridge we kissed
And although i ended up with sore lips
It just wasn't like the old days anymore
No, it wasn't like those days
Am i still ill ?
Oh ...
Oh, am i still ill ?
Oh ...

Today Is Supposed To Be Raining

The sun shining bright on the Parkland on the second day of the Fall
And amidst the buzzing of the bush flies the black and white magpie larks call
By the weather forecast today is supposed to be raining but we will not have rain today
Even weather experts are prone to error such is life some are known to say,
We hear of the demise of El Nino though El Nino is still around
He is sucking the lakes and the dams dry and he has sucked the moisture from the ground
The river is down to a trickle the creeks and the drains are bone dry
And today is supposed to be raining but not a rain cloud in the sky,
Global warming is caused by pollution the experts on climate do say
Though those with a different agenda see things in a different way
But then of course those who create the most pollution from creating pollution stand most for to gain
And they tell all who do care to listen that in time we will have plenty rain
This time the weather experts have not got it right today it is sunny and bright
Though usually they are very accurate and more often than not get it right.

People of today

Today in general
People are refined animals
People are redefined cannibals

Masses of bodies’ fat and flesh
Classes of individual thoughts, yet meshed
People, People of today
Most of them easily led astray

Today to be precise
The world is full of people
Some of which are nice or wise

There are those who are common
A lot easier to summon
Then followed by the enlightened
Wearing faces that are brightened
Some are with an awesome mind
Others are of a loathsome kind

People of today
The old with wrinkles
The young with dimples

They can be playful
They can helpful
They can be harmful
They can be spiteful
They can be lustful
There can be trustful
And they can be useful

People of today
In reality are full of vanity, I say it again
They complain even when there is no pain
Their common values are all the same
Money, fame and love is the name of the game
They exist only as on-key friends
When there is real money to spend

But people are people
Whether complicated or simple

Everyone regardless of attribute
Plays a role in life and contributes
Every person I look upon with an avid salute!

These' Are The Times That Bring Holes to Soles

'These' are the times that bring holes to soles!

'No.
You've quoted Thomas Paine's depiction
Of the beginnings of the American Revolution,
Incorrectly.
That quote 'should' be...
'These are the times that try men's souls.'
Taken from his, The Crisis.'

Are we or are we 'not'
Experiencing a 'crisis' today?

'Yeah,
But we are not going through an American Revolution! '

Oh really?
Is that 'your' interpretation?
Or is that the feelings of those millions of people today,
Losing everything they have?
Including their minds?
In 'these' times.

Like I said...
'These' are the times that bring holes to soles.
And holes brought to those soles,
Are indeed of a revoluntionary nature.
To many suffering and living in 'pain'.

You may not 'see' it that way.
You still have a job.
A place to live.
Food to eat.
Shoes.
Socks.
Suits and ties.
With laundered shirts to wear.
And an expense account,
You, your wife and entire family uses.
And...
All of you,
Are able to maintain your delusions.
So far!

Count your blessings.
And pray they sustain you with substenance.
And I do not refer to visions,
Of biting into a big juicy hamburger either.

Dedicated:
To the memory of Thomas Paine.
Born January 29th 1737 in Thetford, England.
And one of the first to advocate a world peace
organization. And social security for the poor and elderly.
Mister Paine was staunchly anti-slavery.
