A Shadow of the Night

Close on the edge of a midsummer dawn
In troubled dreams I went from land to land,
Each seven-colored like the rainbow's arc,
Regions where never fancy's foot had trod
Till then; yet all the strangeness seemed not strange,
At which I wondered, reasoning in my dream
With twofold sense, well knowing that I slept.
At last I came to this our cloud-hung earth,
And somewhere by the seashore was a grave,
A woman's grave, new-made, and heaped with flowers;
And near it stood an ancient holy man
That fain would comfort me, who sorrowed not
For this unknown dead woman at my feet.
But I, because his sacred office held
My reverence, listened; and 'twas thus he spake:--
'When next thou comest thou shalt find her still
In all the rare perfection that she was.
Thou shalt have gentle greeting of thy love!
Her eyelids will have turned to violets,
Her bosom to white lilies, and her breath
To roses. What is lovely never dies,
But passes into other loveliness,
Star-dust, or sea-foam, flower, or winged air.
If this befalls our poor unworthy flesh,
Think thee what destiny awaits the soul!
What glorious vesture it shall wear at last!'
While yet he spoke, seashore and grave and priest
Vanished, and faintly from a neighboring spire
Fell five slow solemn strokes upon my ear.
Then I awoke with a keen pain at heart,
A sense of swift unutterable loss,
And through the darkness reached my hand to touch
Her cheek, soft-pillowed on one restful palm--
To be quite sure!

Hope Never Dies

Loving is tough,
But loosing
And
Trying to forget it
Is tougher.
Because,
This 'Hope' never dies

The feeling,
That
One day
They will just pick up that pen
And
Write back a long, loving, longing letter.
The feeling,
that
one day
they will
forgive your follies
And
Gather you back from where they left.
These feelings are
Because,
This Hope never dies

The feeling,
that
they might
one day
turn around
and
wave back
and
include you in their long run.
The feeling,
that
one day
they might
just reach out
And
Call you endearingly again
“Sweet heart”, “my love”
These feelings are
Because,
This Hope never dies

The feeling,
that
they might
one day
just walk in
Back into your life
Through that door
So tightly, mercilessly closed (that you keep eyeing all the time)
The feeling,
that
they might
one day
hold your hand,
look deep into your eyes
and
wisper again
those exclusive three words
(“I love you”.)
These feelings are
Because,
This Hope never dies.

Wake up, fellas
To smell the coffee (possibly with a piece of chocolate cake)
These are dreams
Bubbles on top of
A roaring stream.(they don’t have a future)

I know
You tried hard
possibly
Even harder
But
What to do
this silly
Hope never dies (nice blame game) .

Loving is tough,
But loosing
And
Trying to forget it
Is tougher.
because,
This Hope never dies.

Oh What A Lovely War

Oh What A Lovely War
The sins of granddad brought me to war
for England has dined on this before.
The arrogance of dad who brags my shoes
for in his eyes I am England blue

The teacher who bellows you do us proud
a vindictive sod who ruled my class
The preacher who seeks my confession
who drinks the blood of Christ in whiskey heaven?
But never mind for god is always right

The trough of greed will grunt with pride
the bombs will fall killing the dreams below.
These fat cats of war all feasting on me
Oh what a lovely war, everybody in work
More champagne for them
and the grapes of wrath for me?

The rain of mother's tears
will wash my soul
The marbles of play are gone,
No chance for love to warm my nights.
Only frost and the company of rats
gnawing on the bed of my insanity

No youth will smile with me tonight,
no innocence can protect me here.
The voice of death whispers my darkest hour
for this heart will soon be cold
and you who sleep in beds tonight
will never know the truth

The forces of ambition have gathered to see,
this place where youth will die.
Charlie Chaplin give us one last laugh
for the guns are straining on their leashes.
The generals have given their salute
and murder is about to bleed on countries lips
for this is a glorious war.

And in motherland they shall sing my praise,
hero is what I am,
But I still have a voice for one more night
though your ears will be deaf to me

Liars you are to the last,
So dam the lot of you.
For pain and fear is all I know,
the bragging rights will spill your beer
for Life was never mine to enjoy.

The lamb and beast all share my fate
though they will die in peace.
For their bodies serve a natures law
While my carcass will rot in Flanders land

Out of sight of country
for another will take my place.
I am an inmate of war
my letters the only sign of freedom
and my photograph a reminder to those,
who should have protected me?
A youth of another's man war.

Me who gave the invisible a lucrative life?
Who served an empty command
watched over by mother's tears.

My absolution will forgive their sins.
You see I am a peaceful lad
all I possess are the marbles of childhood
and the mercy that god gave me.
I am every mother's boy
And every mother is proud of me.

But in death I will not enter Heaven's gate
For I will wait for them.
Wait for the hand that brought me here
for I need to know the reason why?
Was this Flanders field worth the sacrifice of me?

And as this multitude of youth
marches into the arms of angels pity,
will god be blind to their confession?

For we remember that Charlie Chaplin made us laugh
We remember our mother's tears
But most of all we will remember the buggers
Who brought us here, to die in Flanders land?

For What They Will Never Have

Tongues may put us under
for crimes we did not commit.
The words normally come
from those who are jealous
at what they cannot achieve,
and for what they will never have.

Never Dies!

why does thy name sound like weeping?
do stars disappear after they fall?
your face goes quickly from autumn,
you stagger beneath imagined snow!
wings never write letters or drink toasts,
nails have no will of their own.
leaving the faucet to drip in memory,
of a thousand could have beens.
what we call love knows not the grave,
what we call desire never dies!

Never a Day Passes without your Rememberance

Never a Day Passes without your Rememberance
In my teen age,
you walked into my heart
and made it an abode of fancy.
Tempestuous time tore us asunder.
We lost touch with each other.
Four decades are gone.
But never a day passes without remembering you.
In your mind too, the same may be the story.
Even if I were taken to Mars,
your face will not flee off my mind.
How these thoughts do recur?
God alone knows.

Love Never Dies

When its time comes
Love retreats
To concealed corners
Of the heart.

It hides between
Down-reaching shadows
Of exiled weeping willows
Coated in the clement crust
Of repressed memories.

But love never dies.

I loved once a woman
Who said one day
That she ceased to love me.

But love never lies.

Years later we met
Accidentally somewhere
And we both cried.
Our tears flowed
Like a river of nectar and pain
Into the Infinite Ocean
Of Eternal Sorrows.

True Love Never Dies

True love never dies, true love never dies, true love never dies, true love
Never dies, true love never dies, true love never dies, true love never dies
We look like shadows in the streetlight, only me and u a secret rendevouz after
Midnight, they tried to keep us from each other, they crucify our love, say
Were not good enough to be lovers, I want to hold u in the morning, I want to
Wake up by your side, no reason to hide what were feelin, (give me your
Feelin!), I want to tell the world about it, tell them all the truth, get up on
The rooftops and shout it, true love never dies, true love never dies, true love
Never dies (repeat to fade)

Tomorrow Never Dies

Darling Im killed
Im in a puddle on the floor
Waiting for you to return
Oh what a thrill
Fascination gallore
How you tease, how you leave me to burn
Its so deadly my dear
The power of having you near
Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say therell be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Tomorrow never dies
Darling youve won, its no fun
Martinis, girls, and of guns
Its murder on our love affair
But you bet your life every night
While you chase the morning light
Youre not the only spy out there
Its so deadly my dear
The power of wanting you near
Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say therell be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Tomorrow never dies
Until the day
Until the world falls away
Until you say therell be no more goodbyes
I see it in your eyes
Until the day
Until the day
Until the day

Put Courage Into Your Heart

Put courage into your heart
Drive swiftly to take a start
And fill your soul with your dreams
Of wishful thinking and hope's beam

And know that to have a fulfilled life
You need to nicely and courageously drive
The car of your dreams and hope
Filled with love and smile's cope

Just learn to get back in touch
With whatever is going around much
And search for inner strength and feel
And make with life a lovely deal

whenever life throws you a curve ball
Return it and rebuild hope's wall
And learn to have a fulfilled life
Where hopes and dreams freely survive

And empower your self and deep inside
With courage of mind and emotion's wide
And trust your feelings and your mind
Then life will always be with you kind

Just put courage into your heart
Drive swiftly to make a start
And fill your soul with your dreams
Of wishful thinking and hope's beam.

Because The Real Love Never Dies

Because the real love never dies.
I still in love with your eyes
Because nothing can ban even hide
The shining sun above at the sky
Because your love still survives
Here in mY heart
My glances can not hide your love
Because of you my sky
is full of bright stars
Like your eyes
You're my eyes
Even at my darkest night
I can feel you near
Live you are still here
Your voice I still can hear
My dear
Because of that my love
I never sleep at the nights
I climb to touch the sky
I chase the shining stars
I kiss them one by one
Because they every night
Take me to your eyes
I pour them on my heart
To count and touch and admire
I put them back to sky
When the sky begins to get mad
Than I return back home and i try
To figure out your charming eyes
i enter with them to magic worlds
Ah my love
My inspiration
Because the real love never dies..
Still im in love with your eyes.

Good Love Never Dies

For the rest of my days I want you by my side
Tell me what can I say to keep you in my life
'Cause I can never relax
I've got to keep it exciting
Make it attractive
Keep it alive
Keep you coming back
I'm always so frightened you'll see through my act
When the fire is out and I've given up
You come running out, and you build it up
You tell me good love never dies
It only hurts when we burn our eyes
From staring too long at the sun
You gotta throw your hands up
And let the night come
Spoken: I like watching you out there. It's comforting.
Tell me what can I say to keep you in my life
All the words slip away when I look in your eyes
Because I can never relax
I've got to keep it exciting
Make it attractive
Keep it alive
Keep you coming back
I'm already fighting to keep what I have
When the fire is out and I've given up
You come running out, and you build it up
You tell me good love never dies
It only hurts when we burn our eyes
From staring too long at the sun
You gotta throw your hands up
And let the night come
Take your chances
And let the night come

Love Never Dies

You say you saw the dark side, baby
I know what gets you through the night
And love is like a red rose, baby
And so it's coming 'round again
If we can take the same direction
We find the road that never ends
'Cause love never dies
It goes on forever
Love never dies, love never dies
Love goes on forever
This is the love we've been talking about
You led her in 'till she couldn't get out
'Cause you made the little girl cry
No sad stories to deny
I go through the holy war for you, baby
You know, so you ain't got a prayer
I'll answer if you call for me, baby
I'm yours, to God above I swear
I only wanna live in the shadow you make
The soul that never lies
'Cause love never dies
It goes on forever
Love never dies, love never dies
Love goes on forever
You better run to the heart of the flame
She don't change like the sun and the rain
'Cause she don't understand why
You made the little girl cry
'Cause love never dies
It goes on forever
Love never dies, love never dies
Love goes on forever
This is the love we've been talking about
You led her in 'till she couldn't get out
'Cause you made the little girl cry
No sad stories to deny
You better run to the heart of the flame
She don't change like the sun and the rain
'Cause she don't understand why
You made the little girl cry

Robert Louis Stevenson

An Elegy

High on his Patmos of the Southern Seas
Our northern dreamer sleeps,
Strange stars above him, and above his grave
Strange leaves and wings their tropic splendours wave,
While, far beneath, mile after shimmering mile,
The great Pacific, with its faery deeps,
Smiles all day long its silken secret smile.

Son of a race nomadic, finding still
Its home in regions furthest from its home,
Ranging untired the borders of the world,
And resting but to roam;
Loved of his land, and making all his boast
The birthright of the blood from which he came,
Heir to those lights that guard the Scottish coast,
And caring only for a filial fame;
Proud, if a poet, he was Scotsman most,
And bore a Scottish name.

Death, that long sought our poet, finds at last,
Death, that pursued him over land and sea:
Not his the flight of fear, the heart aghast
With stony dread of immortality,
He fled 'not cowardly';
Fled, as some captain, in whose shaping hand
Lie the momentous fortunes of his land,
Sheds not vainglorious blood upon the field,
Death! why at last he finds his treasure isle,
And he the pirate of its hidden hoard;
Life! 'twas the ship he sailed to seek it in,
And Death is but the pilot come aboard,
Methinks I see him smile a boy's glad smile
On maddened winds and waters, reefs unknown,
As thunders in the sail the dread typhoon,
And in the surf the shuddering timbers groan;
Horror ahead, and Death beside the wheel:
Then--spreading stillness of the broad lagoon,
And lap of waters round the resting keel.

Strange Isle of Voices! must we ask in vain,
In vain beseech and win no answering word,
Save mocking echoes of our lonely pain
From lonely hill and bird?
Island beneath whose unrelenting coast,
As though it never in the sun had been,
The whole world's treasure lieth sunk and lost,
Unsunned, unseen.
For, either sunk beyond the diver's skill,
There, fathoms deep, our gold is all arust,
Or in that island it is hoarded still.
Yea, some have said, within thy dreadful wall
There is a folk that know not death at all,
The loved we lost, the lost we love, are there.
Will no kind voice make answer to our cry,
Give to our aching hearts some little trust,
Show how 'tis good to live, but best to die?
Some voice that knows
Whither the dead man goes:
We hear his music from the other side,
Maybe a little tapping on the door,
A something called, a something sighed--
No more.
O for some voice to valiantly declare
The best news true!
Then, Happy Island of the Happy Dead,
How gladly would we spread
Impatient sail for you!

O vanished loveliness of flowers and faces,
Treasure of hair, and great immortal eyes,
Are there for these no safe and secret places?
And is it true that beauty never dies?
Soldiers and saints, haughty and lovely names,
Women who set the whole wide world in flames,
Poets who sang their passion to the skies,
And lovers wild and wise:
Fought they and prayed for some poor flitting gleam,
Was all they loved and worshipped but a dream?
Is Love a lie and fame indeed a breath,
And is there no sure thing in life--but death?
Or may it be, within that guarded shore,
He meets Her now whom I shall meet no more
Till kind Death fold me 'neath his shadowy wing:
She whom within my heart I softly tell
That he is dead whom once we loved so well,
He, the immortal master whom I sing.

Immortal! yea, dare we the word again,
If aught remaineth of our mortal day,
That which is written--shall it not remain?
That which is sung, is it not built for aye?
Faces must fade, for all their golden looks,
Unless some poet them eternalise,
Make live those golden looks in golden books;
Death, soon or late, will quench the brightest eyes--
'Tis only what is written never dies.
Yea, memories that guard like sacred gold
Some sainted face, they also must grow old,
Pass and forget, and think--or darest thou not!--
On all the beauty that is quite forgot.

Strange craft of words, strange magic of the pen,
Whereby the dead still talk with living men;
Whereby a sentence, in its trivial scope,
May centre all we love and all we hope;
And in a couplet, like a rosebud furled,
Lie all the wistful wonder of the world.

Old are the stars, and yet they still endure,
Old are the flowers, yet never fail the spring:
Why is the song that is so old so new,
Known and yet strange each sweet small shape and hue?
How may a poet thus for ever sing,
Thus build his climbing music sweet and sure,
As builds in stars and flowers the Eternal mind?
Ah, Poet, that is yours to seek and find!
Yea, yours that magisterial skill whereby
God put all Heaven in a woman's eye,
Nature's own mighty and mysterious art
That knows to pack the whole within the part:
The shell that hums the music of the sea,
The little word big with Eternity,
The cosmic rhythm in microcosmic things--
One song the lark and one the planet sings,
One kind heart beating warm in bird and tree--
To hear it beat, who knew so well as he?

Virgil of prose! far distant is the day
When at the mention of your heartfelt name
Shall shake the head, and men, oblivious, say:
'We know him not, this master, nor his fame.'
Not for so swift forgetfulness you wrought,
Day upon day, with rapt fastidious pen,
Turning, like precious stones, with anxious thought,
This word and that again and yet again,
Seeking to match its meaning with the world;
Nor to the morning stars gave ears attent,
That you, indeed, might ever dare to be
With other praise than immortality
Unworthily content.

Not while a boy still whistles on the earth,
Not while a single human heart beats true,
Not while Love lasts, and Honour, and the Brave,
Has earth a grave,
O well-beloved, for you!

First Love Never Dies

Some things we lock away
at the back of our mind.
Things that will stay
there for eternity.
The things we want to cherish dear.
Never letting them escape.
One is our first love,
the love that never dies.
Times may change,
but that first love,
will always remain,
as fresh as the day, we first felt it
in that long ago.
We chain it to our memories,
and will never let it go.

Love Never Dies on Earth or Heaven It, Lives For Ever

I gave my heart
And soul to her
Living without her
Was difficult
Wanted to marry her
Spend my life in love
Like a hand in the glove
My plans failed
My dreams shattered
She left for heaven
I cried and cried
Till the tears dried
Losing her
Was a shock
Out of the blue
Difficult to bear
Deep in despair
Thinking about her
My eyes closed
I went to sleep
She came in
My dreams
Whispered
In my ears
Humans die
Love never dies
On earth or heaven
It lives for ever

Love Never Dies

Lying here on my bed,
Crying tears, for you have fled.
Leaving loose ends never tied,
But for me, love never dies.

You may think that love hurts,
But to me, love is no curse.
Some say they love and they lie,
But for me, love never dies.

You may move on and love again,
But for you, love will not win.
You said feelings change and I ask why,
Because for me, love never dies.

I'll always wait, you're in my heart,
We're still together, although we're apart.
We can make those loose ends tied,
Because our love, should never die.

What They Were Never Meant To Explore

I have chances to believe
While my dog drinks his fill of water, and my muse
Is in another house,
Around her, her children as if at a fair-
In the theatre of her television, her favorite telenovela;
And her umbilical hernia mending,
So in a week or more we might make love again,
While the airplanes keep on roaring,
Roaring: going straight at it,
Reaching their destinations skipped across the seas-
The mermaids in their grottos, the gods at their
Ease,
And never a single creature here on the earth ever missing
What they were never meant to explore.

Music never dies

Music never dies,
Music never dies,
It is waking,
It is the making,
This is that euphony,
The movement
The inspiration,
This is that rythmic sounds,
The Sword came and washed me,
Music that hast taste,
Why you worry?
Music that can never fade,
Music that is the poetic minstrell,
Without this love,
I will fake and never increase,
The awakening glory,
That I made it again,
This crown is upon me, do not depose,
That I as Iam,
Made that crown fall upon my broken soul,
This is that sound of music,
This is that glory,
Behold I dwell on you,
That with your music,
All the demons run away.
